Days' Shawn Christian, Freddie Smith Team on New Project
Days of Our Lives' Shawn Christian (Daniel) and Freddie Smith (Sonny) have teamed on the new project Addicts Anonymous with Jack Briggs and Nate Hartley.
It's a mockumentary about a college addiction program that handles all addictions in the same room at the same time. At its heart the show is not about the addictions themselves, but a metaphor for the problems people face in their everyday lives.
"I have a vision of it being the The Breakfast Club in a really twisted irreverent way for this generation," says Christian, who's co-creator and executive producer on the project.
Former Salemite Molly Burnett (ex-Melanie) is on board with the project, too, and, according to Christian, fans are going to enjoy her performance. "Love @xfighters? Ur gonna love @mollydollyy on Addicts," he tweeted.
Addicts Anonymous will ultimately be seen on outlets such as Youtube and Netflix.
Soap Opera Digest has an item about the project, here. For more information, you can also visit the Addicts Anonymous' website, here.

Days' Ex Darin Brooks Joining The Bold and the Beautiful
Days of Our Lives' ex-Darin Brooks is joining The Bold and the Beautiful. TV Guide is reporting that he'll play Wyatt Fuller, a mysterious new love interest for Kim Matula (Hope), and begin airing on June 21.
Brooks played Max Brady on Days from 2005 to 2009 and returned briefly in 2010 to escort Rachel Melvin's Chelsea off the canvas. He won a 2009 daytime Emmy award for his performance.
Since leaving Days, Brooks went on to star on Spike's raunchy sitcom Blue Mountain State. He last starred in the Hallmark Movie Channel film, The Seven Year Hitch.
It was only a few months ago that rumors surfaced that Brooks might be returning to Days. It all started in November 2012, when he cryptically tweeted, "To DAYS or not to DAYS...that is the question... ; )"
Unfortunately, it never came to pass, which is sad news for Days fans; particularly since there was a built in storyline waiting to be told. Remember, back when Ashley Benson played Abigail, her character had a huge crush on Max. It would have been great to see Brooks return and paired with Kate Mansi. The twosome might have had real supercouple potential.
