If you're missing Eric Winter (ex-Rex Brady) on DAYS, you can catch the gorgeous star in the new upcoming movie entitled The Ugly Truth, which premieres in theaters on Friday, July 24. The highly anticipated comedy stars Katherine Heigl as Abby Richter, a morning show producer whose search for Mr. Perfect has left her hopelessly single. Gerard Butler portrays Mike Chadway, a hardcore TV personality who promises to spill the ugly truth on what makes men and women tick. Eric portrays a smart and successful orthopedic surgeon named Colin, whom the lead character, Abby, is trying to score a date with.

Although the writers conveniently forgot to mention Rex Brady's name during Kate's cancer storyline and at Grandpa Shawn's funeral, many fans haven't forgotten the character of Rex, or his previous portrayer Eric Winter. As fans may recall, Eric portrayed Rex Brady on DAYS from 2002 until 2005. His character was intially known as one of the Gemini Twins upon his arrival in Salem, became romantically involved with Mimi, and left town in July of 2005 after Rex discovered that Mimi had an abortion and kept this torrid secret from him.

Congratulations to Eric on all his success since leaving DAYS. Be sure to see him as Colin in The Ugly Truth, premiering Friday, July 24.

Due to national coverage of Michael Jackson's funeral, Days of Our Lives will not be seen on Tuesday, July 7, as reported by NBC. A new episode will air on Wednesday, July 8, so no episodes will be missed. Thus, all spoiler information and casting updates will be changed accordingingly.

On Wednesday, June 24, former iconic DAYS star Deidre Hall (ex-Marlena) attended a press conference regarding the Child Nutrition Promotion and School Lunch Protection Act at the Reserve Officers Association in Washington, D.C. The lovely star attended along with her 16-year-old son David Sohmer, actress Andrea Bowen of Desperate Housewives, and U.S. Senator Tom Harkin. She delivered the Child Nutrition Act petition with 50,000 signatures and also spent a great deal of time discussing it with multiple representatives, including Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid.

As a parent herself, Deidre is an advocate for healthier food in school lunches and thus is very passionate about this petition. Kudos to Deidre for getting so involved in trying to obtain healthier lunches in schools for our kids!

Trevor Donovan (ex-Jeremy Horton) has been cast on the CW's 90210, according to Access Hollywood and other sources. The 30-year-old former DAYS star will debut in the second season of the show as high school junior Teddy, who is described as gorgeous, confident, athletic, and charming.

DAYS fans may recall that Trevor had a short-lived role as bad boy Jeremy Horton from June until October 2007. His character was involved with Stephanie Johnson and the forgettable 'Touch the Sky' storyline, and only became likeable to the majority of fans towards the end of his stay in Salem when he defended Nick and went on the run.

90210, a spinoff of the hit series Beverly Hills 90210, stars Shenae Grimes, Rob Estes, Ryan Eggold, and Lori Loughlin. Longtime DAYS fans may remember that Rob Estes played Glenn Gallager, Jennifer Horton Devereaux's first boyfriend, from 1986-1987.

The new season of 90210 will premiere in September. Congratulations and best of luck to Trevor in his new role!

Lauren was actually gracious and understanding enough to take time to speak with me a second time, since my first recording with her didn’t take. She talks about being on set with them, the heartfelt storyline with baby Grace, the set teacher who worked with them, her praise for Alison Sweeney, and even a little upcoming spoiler which will air in July.
