'The Biggest Loser' Premiere

NBC's reality hit weight-loss show, The Biggest Loser, returns for Season 6 on Tuesday, September 16 at 8 p.m. ET. DAYS's own Alison Sweeney (Sami) will once again host the show. The new season will feature family members who come together to transform their lives and embark on a journey to lose weight. Contestants will work out under the supervision of professional trainers Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels in a safe and recommended manner through comprehensive diet and exercise as they compete for a grand prize of $250,000.

Stefano returns next week and vows revenge on Marlena, Ava leaves, Max meets his sister, Bo and Hope renew their vows, and more!

Spoilers for the week of August 4:

Beginning the week of August 11, DAYS will feature two short-term storylines during the Olympic games. Parts of the country may not be able to catch DAYS every day during this time, so the show has decided to focus on two fun, limited story arcs. One storyline will involve the hospital and focus on Stefano, and the other will center around Nicole's drunken fantasy which takes place in the 1940s. DAYS will pick up with the front-burner storylines after the two weeks.

Besides Stefano and Nicole, the characters involved in these storylines will include Steve, Kayla, John, Marlena, Tony, Anna, E.J., Sami, Lucas, Philip, and Morgan. Lucas will play a detective in the past.

Philip and Morgan's Song

It appears as though Philip and Morgan are destined to be the next supercouple of DAYS, as they've obviously fallen for one another and have gained adoration among many fans. Just in case you Philip and Morgan fans are wondering what beautiful song was played during the Wednesday, July 30 episode when Morgan fantasized about sharing a romantic dance with Philip, I have the answer. The name of the song that played during Morgan's fantasy is called "Magic" by singer/songwriter Colbie Caillat, which is available on her 2007 album entitled, Coco. Earthquake Hits Los Angeles and Interrupts DAYS Filming

CNN reports that a 5.4-magnitude earthquake struck just east of Los Angeles this morning, Tuesday, July 29. The earthquake was initially classified as a 5.8 magnitude, but was reduced to a 5.6 and then a 5.4. No serious damage or injuries were reported. According to Soap Opera Digest Online, the DAYS cast had to exit the building, but everything seemed to be fine and they were back to work. This gave the cast an opportunity to sing "Happy Birthday" to Bryan Dattilo (Lucas), who celebrates his 37th birthday today!

Alison Sweeney Expecting a Girl

According to OK! Magazine and several other sources, Alison Sweeney (Sami) and her husband Dave Sanov have recently revealed that they are expecting a girl. As previously reported, Alison broke the joyous news about her pregnancy to her Season 6 castmates of The Biggest Loser on Monday, June 23. She is due on January 20, 2009. Of course Alison and Dave are very excited about the addition of a little girl to their beautiful family. When Alison was asked if she and her husband were discussing possible names, she joked, "It's a battle we're both waging."

Alison has told her three-year-old son, Ben, that she's pregnant and has showed him ultrasound pictures of his little sister. The lovely actress has also received sound advice from The Biggest Loser trainers Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels regarding her workouts.

Congratulations go out to Alison, Dave, and Ben on the wonderful news!
