Days of Our Lives Casts New Heartthrob

The male population in Salem is about to improve big time. Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Schuyler Yancey has been cast as Cameron Davis, a hot new bachelor who'll catch the eye of the show's young single ladies. Namely, Abigail, Gabi and Melanie.

Yancey, who'll have a key role in an upcoming storyline with Renee Jones (Lexie) and Beverly Todd (Celeste), is no stranger to Days of Our Lives. He's appeared on the show in the past as a day player. Plus, he's guest starred on a number of  nighttime shows, including Greek, Melrose Place and Hannah Montana.

Yancey has already begun working on the Days set. His first air date is April 4.

Bren Foster Out at Days of Our Lives

Bren FosterBren Foster's (Quinn) status with Days of Our Lives has changed, yet again. The actor, who was fired from the show in early June 2011, only to be rehired the end of that same month,  is reportedly off the NBC soap.

"I'm no longer with Days," revealed Foster via Twitter. "My career path has moved in a different direction and has me extremely busy."

As to what that direction is, Foster added, "I will keep you all posted, as soon as I am able."

Foster first began airing on Days in May 2011. He left the show in September, but resurfaced onscreen on November 1. Since then, his character has had minimal airtime and virtually no storyline as the manager of Salem's new health spa.

Matthew Ashford (Jack): Good bye Whitney, we have your music to remember you by. The rest will be quickly forgotten in the 24 hour news cycle, but your music? always.

Nadia Bjorlin (ex-Chloe): RIP Whitney Houston. So tragic...my heart goes out to her daughter and family.

Molly Burnett (Melanie): I will always love you was a special song to my mom and I. Do you guys have Whitney Houston song memories? Love these memories. I try to belt I will always love you.. In the car... On a pretty regular basis...

Nadia Bjorlin Not Returning to Days of Our Lives

Nadia BjorlinSo much for a Chloe and Brady or a Chloe and Daniel reunion. Soap Opera Digest confirms that talks  between Nadia Bjorlin and the Days of Our Lives brass have reached a stalemate, and the actress won't be returning to the show.

The magazine reports that the two sides could not come to terms about "salary and length of work cycles." So after weeks of negotiating, Bjorlin and Days decided to go their separate ways.

Bjorlin debuted on Days of Our Lives in 1999 and quickly became a fan favorite. She last appeared on the show in September 2011, when Chloe headed to Chicago to reunite with her son Parker and work for a local opera company.

Days of Our Lives' Kate Mansi and Freddie Smith to Judge Pooch Parade

Kate MansiLove Days of Our Lives' Kate Mansi (Abigail) and Freddie Smith (Sonny) and doggies? Then you'll want to attend the AT&T Presents the WeHo Red Carpet Pooch Parade on Saturday, February 11, from 12 to 2 p.m.

The event, which supports PAWS/LA and the Gay Men's Choir of Los Angeles, will take place at the AT&T West Hollywood Store located at 1112 North La Brea, West Hollywood, CA. It will feature a dog costume contest, prizes and giveaways and is free and open to the public.

Mansi and Smith will be on hand to help judge the competition. If you're in the area, be sure to check it out.
