DAYS Songwriter Releases Christmas Single and Debut Solo Album
Days of Our Lives songwriter Jd Webb has recently released a Christmas single entitled "Everything I Need This Christmas." Award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer Jd Webb has crossed over to R&B-Soul with a pop sensibility after formerly being known as a staple in Christian pop music.
DAYS fans may recall that earlier this year Webb wrote Max and Stephanie's songs for the show. The songs entitled "Right Here," "If Only," and "I'll Never Let Go" played during the April 2008 episodes when Max and Stephanie shared a romantic dance and then made love.
Webb shares, “I wanted to write a Christmas song because I felt like there weren’t many R&B-Soul songs out there during this time of year. The song is called ‘Everything I Need this Christmas’ and it's about having the people you love around during the holidays-- to me, that's what Christmas is all about—the simple things like loved ones getting together.”Jd Webb has been noted as a prolific songwriter by both Rolling Stone and CCM Magazine. Additionally, he's been an esteemed recipient of Billboard's "stamp of approval." After being a staple in Christian pop music, Web has decided to cross over into R&B-Soul and has decided to pursue a solo career through his new music label called Infinite Music Group. His self-produced debut solo full-length album entitled The Introduction is set for release February 10, 2009.

Alison Sweeney Television Appearance
Busy celebrity mom and The Biggest Loser hostess Alison Sweeney (Sami) is scheduled to appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this Thursday, December 4. Please check your local listings for channels and times or you may check Ellen's website to see when the show is on in your area. If you happen to miss Alison on Thursday, check back for a recap!
Updated December 5:
Alison dished with Ellen about her pregnancy on the show yesterday and mentioned how she has mainly been craving pickles, just like her character Sami. Alison also admitted that during her previous pregnancy with son Ben, she felt very emotional and even cried when Tivo didn't record her favorite show. Many viewers noticed that Alison appeared as if she was going into early labor right there on the show! Not to worry, as it was part of Ellen's "12 Days of Giveaways" which she normally does every year for Christmas. Alison was asked to set up the audience gift portion with a gag, so she only pretended to be going into labor right before Ellen quickly excused herself to present the "12 Days" portion of the show. Alison confirmed this herself on her NBC blog, so she did not go into labor on the show as some may have suspected.

Eric Winter Weds Roselyn Sanchez
Former DAYS star Eric Winter (ex-Rex Brady) married Roselyn Sanchez at the historic San Cristobal fort in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Saturday, November 29, according to Soap Opera Digest and numerous other sources. The couple had been engaged for nearly a year after Eric had reportedly popped the question during a winter holiday in 2007 while the couple was vacationing near Puerto Rico.
As fans may recall, Eric Winter portrayed Rex Brady on DAYS from 2002 until 2005. Since his departure, Eric has kept very busy making numerous guest appearances on shows and appeared in the 2008 movie Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay. He currently has a recurring role on ABC's Brothers & Sisters as Jason McCallister. His bride stars on CBS's Without a Trace as Elena Delgado.
Some of the celebrity guests in attendance for the ceremony included Eva Longoria Parker (ex-Isabella, Y&R), Jennifer Morrison (House M.D.), and Roselyn's Without a Trace co-stars Eric Close, Poppy Montgomery, and Enrique Murciano. Additionally, former DAYS star Matt Cedeno (ex-Brandon Walker) was reportedly Eric's co-best man.
The couple are planning to honeymoon in the Mayan Rivera. Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes go out to Eric Winter and his new beautiful bride!

Eric Martsolf Photo Gallery
Now that we've all had our Thanksgiving dinners, feast your eyes on this Eric Martsolf Photo Gallery, who plays Brady Black on Days of Our Lives. These photos date back to 2002, when he portrayed Ethan Winthrop on NBC's now defunct soap opera Passions. Even though it may be cold outside, you still might want to turn up the air conditioning before viewing these photos. Enjoy!

Blake Berris Out as Nick Fallon
The December 9, 2008 issue of Soap Opera Digest has reported that Blake Berris (Nick) is out, and will be exiting the show in mid-January. Although this casting decision is disappointing, it shouldn't come as a great surprise, considering that Nick was recently revealed to be Trent's killer and Melanie's stalker. Many fans feel Blake's performance as a creepy stalker on painkillers has been outstanding and even Emmy worthy. It is highly likely that the troubled Nick will either go to prison or to the mental hospital. Many of us are sad to see another actor let go during the budget cut crisis at DAYS, but we wish Blake Berris nothing but the best. Blake has expressed in interviews that this is the best material on the show he's gotten to play as his character took a turn to the dark side. Currently, the actor has a recurring role as Corey on USA's The Starter Wife, which airs Fridays at 10 p.m. ET.

Soapnet Schedule Change
One of our DAYS forum members recently alerted me about the schedule change regarding SOAPnet and when they air same-day episodes of Days of Our Lives. It has come to my attention that SOAPnet no longer airs the Sunday night / Monday morning marathon of all the previous week's DAYS episodes. SOAPnet used to air Sunday night marathons from 7 p.m. until 12 a.m. ET, which was wonderful. Then, they changed the time from 12 a.m. until 5 a.m. ET. Not to worry, you can still catch the same-day episodes weeknights on Soapnet at 11 p.m. ET. Additionally, you can watch the previous days' episodes Tuesday through Friday mornings 4 a.m. ET and again at 10 a.m. ET. If you happen to miss Friday's episode on NBC, you can watch it on SOAPnet on Saturday morning at 4 a.m. ET and again the following Monday morning at 10 a.m. ET.
If you would like to give feedback regarding the programming on SOAPnet, you can call the hotline at (818) 460-7477.
