Writers' Strike Negotiations to Begin
Monday November 19, 2007
There is a small glimmer of hope today in the infamous Writers' Strike. The Writers Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers are set to head to the negotiation table on Monday, November 26. Both sides are reportedly still nowhere close to coming to any agreement as of yet. In the meantime, the WGA will continue to strike this week, taking a break for Thanksgiving before resuming the strike. At this point it's hard to tell whether any agreement will be reached between the two parties. As mentioned last week, DAYS has enough written material to air through January 2008. I will keep you updated on any new developments in this strike and how it continues to impact our favorite show. For more on this story, read this article from Media Life Magazine.

Heck, that article goes on to suggest the strike might last through June and the writers will be joined by the actors when their contract runs out.
