Ava's Redemption
Ava is definitely a woman scorned and we’ve seen many layers to this new character, played so effortlessly by the talented Tamara Braun. She admitted to sabotaging the plane, which resulted in three deaths. However, she insists that she only intended to stop the plane from taking off and has expressed remorse over causing Grandpa Shawn’s death. She also kidnapped Hope, threatened the lives of Steve’s loved ones, and now by week’s end it looks like she will have Stephanie kidnapped. She is obviously mentally disturbed, as it was recently revealed that she had a breakdown and has been locked in her room ever since Steve left her at the altar. Perhaps there’s even more that happened to her which has yet to be revealed. The woman obviously has some deep psychological issues, but that shouldn’t excuse what she’s done to Steve and his family.
Despite all of this woman’s torment upon Steve’s loved ones, is there any possible chance for the redemption of Ava? Let’s look at EJ for a moment and the horrible things he has done. Not only did he rape Sami, but he shot John, poisoned Steve and Kayla with a rare biotoxin, tried to run Kayla off the road, tampered with Max’s racecar to explode, beat up Patrick Lockhart, ordered Patrick to kill Hope, and locked Lucas in a freezer delivery truck. Nowadays, it seems like the majority of Salem has accepted him, including Maggie and Caroline. If it’s possible for EJ to be redeemed despite all of his crimes, then I believe it’s possible for Ava as well. Take a moment to vote.

Somehow, Ava has grown on me, I like her. I hope she can be helped, and stays on with DOOL,
She’d be a perfect match for EJ; Days can write a story about how Ava learns to rise above her father’s power and have her own life–all thanks to one who has done it himself before. And, oh, by the way, when EJ and Ava finally fall in love and get together, could Days please show that Lucas is REALLY the father of BOTH of Sami’s twins; that’s what I’m waiting for!

I have to agree with you on both counts. I would love to see EJ and Ava come together somehow and believe they would be a perfect match. They’ve both done bad things and know what it’s like to be under their fathers’ control. Thus, they could relate perfectly to one another. I would also love for Lucas to be the father to both of Sami’s twins! You and I think alike!
