Jason Cook Lands New General Hospital Role

According to Soapnet and various other sources, Jason Cook has recently landed a new role on General Hospital and will first air in June. As fans may recall, Jason gained a huge fanbase when he portrayed Shawn Douglas Brady from 1999-2006. Word is that he'll portray a doctor on the ABC soap. Guess who he'll be interacting with? Kirsten Storms, who plays Maxie Jones and who portrayed Belle Black on DAYS from 1999-2004.
Congratulations go out to Jason on his new role. Like many fans, I was secretly hoping he would eventually return to DAYS as Shawn, but I'm very happy for him nonetheless. General Hospital is very fortunate to be gaining an extremely talented and charismatic actor such as Jason. Good luck to him in his new role!

I still have hope that one day both he and Kirsten will be back on Days someday as the REAL Belle and Shawn. They are the ONLY two who can play those roles. I am so glad the other two who took over when they left are GONE!
I totally agree! I miss “the real” Belle and Shawn. They have wonderful chemistry together! Although I didn’t hate the other 2 actors in the roles, they were never as good.

I will not miss this couple at all. Her hang-dog expression turned me off early on in her appearance. The old cliche of acting abilities from A to B comes to mind. I hope some one else comes back in the role of Belle when they come back.
I am so excited! I stopped watching DOOL when Kirsten Storms left - it just wasn’t the same anymore. I grew up with the classic Shelle super couple so this is going to be amazing to watch as I am now a huge GH fan.

I cannot believe GH has stolen the 2 best characters of Days Of Our Lives - EVER!
I wish they would return to Days as Belle and Shawn… its too weird with their new characters. Will not watch GH as I will feel too much of a trator to Shawn and Belle! GRR!!

Met Jason in Vegas a few years back and he was a jerk. I didnt know his name and referred to him as the guy who plays Shawn Brady…he got mad and was so rude. I always loved his character on the show and it was really upsetting to see what a jerk he was in person.
