Joseph Mascolo News
Sorry to disappoint Stefano fans, but it looks as though 'The Phoenix' won't rise again anytime soon. However, Joseph Mascolo has been keeping pretty busy since his character has remained in a catatonic state. According to Joseph's Official Website, the beloved actor was scheduled to be honored as 'Celebrity of the Year' for the Boys' Towns of Italy in Boca Raton, Florida last Friday, April 25th. The Boys' Towns of Italy is a 63-year-old American charity which was founded in 1945 by Monsignor John Patrick-Abbing and former Governor of Connecticut John Lodge and wife Francesca. The mission of this charity is to help homeless, hungry children develop into responsible and productive citizens. Congratulations to Joseph on this outstanding honor!
Last Wednesday, April 23rd, Joseph hosted his parents' 80th wedding anniversary celebration in Newington, Connecticut, where the couple renewed their vows in Italian. Peter and Ana Mascolo were married on April 23, 1928. Both came to Hartford, Connecticut from Naples, Italy. As Joseph says in the brief WFSB news video, "They've been married longer than a lot of us lived. They've been married for 80 years and they still talk to each other and I think it really was based on love."
Heartfelt congratulations go out to Joseph's parents on their long and happy marriage!

No matter how long Stefano leaves for, it’s always worth the wait when he returns. He’s a wonderful actor!!
Geez, it’s their 85th wedding anniversary, not their 80th… that should make his mom and dad… what 100 years old????????
What’s their secret not only to a long marriage… but a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng life???
;-)
we love you Stepano. we will wait for your return to Days.
Days is just not Days without Stefano DiMera. I detest Marlena for what she did to him! Yes, the Phoenix WILL rise again & look out Marlena! I miss Stefano everyday. I WANT THE PORTRAIT OF HIM IF JOHN TRASHES IT!!
Keep rollin’ Days!
I have always loved Stefano. He has always kept the story-lines very interesting and suspenseful.
Joseph Mascola is a great actor. And I know, that he will rise out of the ashes once again….as our dear Stefano.
I love Stefano and I’m sad to hear he’s not suppossed to be back soon. Congrats to both Joe and his parents!
We’ll miss you on Days Joe! (don’t worry, we’ll write and let Days know we miss you too!)
Please bring Stephano back, it’s not the same without him. Just think, John could get his memory back and Stephano comes back and assuses Marlena of putting him in the coma. What a story line that would make?
I LOVE STEFANO …HOPE HE COMES BACK….SOON
I want the portrait of Stefano. I can put it across the hall from the portrait Barnabas Collins! ! ! I do not think this is necessarily bad; to have him come back too soon would change the dynamic of John becoming the NEW DiMERA - so when he DOES eventually return he will have a lot on his hands. I think the show is doing remarkably well with the writing. HOWEVER I am gobsmacked that the actress who plays Chelsea received an Emmy nom. Tsk tsk stylists and lighting directors - get your act together.
I was so glad to hear that Stefano was coming back. Days got so much more interesting with him back. You just never know what he is going to do. I didn’t like seeing him so helpless when Marlena injected him. He was always so with it and vital. I hope he comes back. With Stefano, John, Victor, and the new Vitali character, there is no telling the great stories that the writers could develop. Stefano is still the best. Please don’t let him get away again. Linda
Stefan will rise again io hope becasue Dool is not Dool witrhout him
