Brandon Beemer Joins The Bold and The Beautiful

Brandon Beemer (ex-Shawn) has officially joined CBS's The Bold and the Beautiful, as reported by Soap Opera Digest Online and Brandon's Message Board. He will be joining the show as a new character near the end of the month. However, there's no word as of yet on what his character's name will be or when his first airdate is. He will join another former DAYS alumni Kyle Lowder (ex-Brady Black).
As fans recall, Brandon, along with former co-star Martha Madison (ex-Belle), were shockingly let go in January, which outraged and disappointed many fans. Their last airdate was March 24, 2008, when Shawn and Belle decided to sail around the world with daughter Claire. Soon after Brandon's dismissal, he was in talks with joining One Life to Live as a possible Joey Buchanan recast.
Brandon of course isn't the first former DAYS star to be snatched up by another soap this year. The gorgeous and talented Julie Pinson (ex-Billie) was also let go in January of this year. Julie was soon snatched up by As the World Turns and will first air in May. Recently Kevin Spirtas (ex-Dr. Craig Wesley) was snatched up by One Life to Live. Another former Shawn Brady, Jason Cook, recently landed a new role on General Hospital as new doctor who will being airing in June. It wouldn't surprise me at all if another show snatches up the Emmy-worthy Martha Madison next.
Heartfelt congratulations go out to Brandon on his new role. What is DAYS's loss is fortunately another soap's gain. Good luck Brandon!

I understand that Days intended to bring the characters back at some point. They needn’t bother as far as I’m concerned. I was fine with the Shawn and Belle that they finally found to replace the old Shawn and Belle. I’m not prepared to get used to another. Same with Billie. I liked Pinson better than the old Billie. Even thought she was prettier. Wish the show would get it together. The only right thing they’ve done lately in my opinion is bringing John back. His loss, if real and permanent, would have sunk the show. It may sink anyway the way they’re going.
I’m happy that Brandon was picked up so fast. He is missed by Days fans, but I wish him all the luck in the world…he deserves it. Hope Martha will soon be picked up soon too.
I’m going to miss Shawn. I’m a fan of Brandon Beemer, so I will follow him to the Bold and the Beautiful. I just hope he doesn’t end up being another bedmate for the skank Brooke.
I’m happy that both former Shawns got good roles on other soaps, they both deserve them. I’ll still miss the characters of Belle and Shawn, though. I think they were central to keeping the Brady clan going.
I am delighted that they are both gone. I never liked the way either of them played their characters, especially “Belle.” The original actors are the only ones who can play these parts; until they both agree to come back, keep Belle and Shawn on their tour around the world!
This sucks. I never liked Brandon and I don’t like him joining B&B since I watch that show. I would rather he went to OLTL or elsewhere.
I liked Martha and miss her, but Brandon I can do without.
I will not miss Beemer, sorry, he was never Shawn to me. I will miss Martha as an actress but not as Belle, she was never Belle to me either. I too hope they stay on this cruise until the original actors can come back. That does not look promising since the original Shawn was just picked up by GH. One more thought on a different subject, please, please let’s give John a new hair stylist!!!!!!
When Martha joined the cast as Belle, I was so happy because she is obviously much more mature than Kirsten Storms and I thought, “Yay!! They’re finally going to have Belle be an adult.” That didn’t happen with Jason in the role of Sean, then they brought in Brandon “Yay!! Another opportunity to have this couple become adults!” Unfortunately, the writers continuted to write for this couple as if they were immature teenagers who didn’t have a clue about real life. That’s why their storyline never went anywhere. I always liked Sean and Belle and Martha and Brandon were excellent in the roles, but were never written a decent storyline. Days loss is definitely other soaps gain.
