Who Should Nick Hook up With?

Tuesday July 8, 2008
Nick Fallon has had his heart stomped on more than once by his true love Chelsea, who dumped him after she fell for the gorgeous and much older Dr. Daniel Jonas. Many fans agree that Nick deserves a girl who is going to truly appreciate what he has to offer. Isn't it time for Nick to get the girl? Doesn't he deserve some happiness? Take a moment to vote.

maybe they could introduce a gay storyline here. i’m not being glib. i’m gay myself. i personally find the actor who plays nick to not be the most easily believable as a straight character. just my peronal opinion. nick lost his virginity relatively late and there weren’t exactly sparks between nick and chelsea. i think it would be really refreshing for days to take a chance and try this. 35 years on the air and no one is salem is gay?

after stories of demonic possession, a mystery island full of ‘dead people’, burying people alive, brain chips/lost identities, countless paternity mixups, and zero monogomy, i think a gay storyline would be about the most ‘normal’ thing this show could ever do.

First I was going to say “is Nick even a needed character?” - I barely remember he exists until he shows up on screen (not the actor’s fault - they writers just don’t give him much to work with). However, I read Jerry’s comment about possibly having him as a gay character - now THAT would certainly make him much more interesting!!!! How about a story where he struggles with the realization that he is gay and the inner turmoil he experiences about whether or not to tell his family and friends? Switch it up Days!!!!

i for one think they should bring in someone entirely new to days for him. someone just like him, not someone like chelsea who will just hurt him. blake berris is a heck of an actor and deserves a decent storyline for his character.

(4) Bonnie says:

Maybe if they bring in Max’s half sister to Salem, they could pair her up with Nick. I like Nick, he’s cute, kinda goofy and nerdy. I don’t like the gay turning idea and I don’t think they should put him back with Chelsea because she has hurt him way too many times.

(5) Bev says:

Gay? No. No. No. Sick. Sick. Sick. Max’s sister has great possibilities, or maybe a student in the upcoming fall semester.

(6) Joanna says:

Gay isn’t a sick idea…what is wrong with you? But, I don’t think they should “make” a character gay just to have a different minority on the show. Of course, if they did make Nick gay it would be refreshing to have him not be the typical stereotypical flamboyant gay that is typically on shows..like the Salem Chronicle’s Harold they had on a few years back.

Hopefully, Max’s sister will be Nick’s age and perhaps she could be a fellow professor as well…enough with the younger students for Nick. He needs someone intelligent and grounded.

(7) Brenna says:

What a creep and his character is a dud. Get him off…he has never fit into the show and actually from the gay guy (?) who wrote….you may have a thought on this. He’s just too weird to keep around. AND a Doctor!!! What were they thinking? He looks like a looser who couldn’t count change at McDonalds. UGH…double UGH

(8) Jamie Lyn says:

i was in agreement with what the girl before me wrote. the person has been kinda creepy since he showed up and where did he exactly come from because i don’t remember. Days is having enough trouble and i have watched it with my mom forever but unless they make a ton of changes it’s going to go down the tubes. smarten up people

(9) Rose says:

Certainly not gay, they have enough of that on almost all the television shows these days. That’s sick!!!!!

July 12, 2008 at 6:59 pm
(10) Brenna says:

100% agreed. There is enough “sick” and deranged out there and on TV these days to last for a life time. I’m really sick of it all. Can’t we just have some “normal” anymore. Hmmmm….what is “normal” anymore? Sad to say but we see so mmuch of life distorted. I try to keep a close monitor on what my children watch. DAYS very sorry to say is off-limits. AND I can remember when I was watching it “way back when”. Not so bad to think back and look back over. C’mon writers give us all a break. Can’t we have some good clean TV for awhile even with a few ups and downs????

(11) AnnMarie says:

with everyone talking about DAYS and this character (who is a dud NOT a dude either)they should come in and clean the slate on a lot of characters. Take Chelsea….weird little girl. They tried to make her so grown-up/adult-like but she never has been. I haven’t like her since she came on and couldn’t stand her or her character. I wish I could say well they deserved each other but each of them were just weird little people that seemed to be dumped on us as viewers. Do some recasting. ALSO….STOP taking different characters off and bringing them back as different people/other characters. It’s degrading to our brain cells.Overall wise up or you aren’t going to have a fan base.

(12) momsy3 says:

Maybe MiMi could come back?? Or maybe a new female doctor? Or how about Nicoles sister, remember her? They’d be great together!

July 12, 2008 at 10:23 pm
(13) Shannon says:

Nick needs to be back with Kate…she can be his cougar and they would be perfect together for a while:)

July 13, 2008 at 1:01 am
(14) Sharon says:

Nick back with Kate? When was Nick with Kate? Please don’t let this guy get hurt by Chelsea again. I applauded when he said no to a friendship with her. Chelsea was and is and always will be selfish oh and yeah, she’s selfish.
Nick is so much a beautiful and wonderful character. He’s half Horton and I just never figured out why everyone seemed to shun him.
Bring a new person in for Nick and someone that would be a mental challenge for him, someone cute and glad he is Nick.
Nick as gay? Hadn’t thought of that. That would be cool too but DOOL is too chicken to do a gay story.
And anyone who thinks gays are sick needs to look in a mirror. Ask yourself if you REALLY got to choose who you are! Back off and leave gays alone.

(15) dayslover37 says:

i love nick….definitly not gay, but maybe Max’s sister or bring in someone new. He is a great actor just needs good story line. he deserves to have someone!

July 13, 2008 at 1:41 pm
(16) Claire says:

Nick was never with Kate!!! He had a one night stand & lost his virginity with Chelsea’s mom when she fell off the wagon for one night & seduced Nick. Chelsea found out & it was a big story line for quite some time.
He should NOT go back with Chelsea, she has hurt him TOO many times. I agree he needs someone new…..

(17) fonzeeo says:

i think that they should make nicks character gay that would be so realistic, and not to mention very believable. i was a fan of days for 15 plus years and i stopped watching this year because i didnt like the unrealistic storylines, i d just had enough!!!!But if you start doing realisic storylines like the aforementioned, im sure you will get more viewers to tune in, and i definately would watch again.

July 13, 2008 at 6:58 pm
(18) Ms.Dion Ryan says:

No don’t make Nick gay, that is disgusting. We weren’t put on this earth to be like that. And to make Nick on Days would really drop the ratings. No one likes to see 2 guys getting in to it ,other than people who aren’t in their right mind, and aren’t straight.Keep Nick straight and wait for Max’s sister to get to Salem then let them hook up.But just leave him and Chelsea alone. Dion

(19) mary says:

I don’t know how many people remember the love story between Nick’s parents…Joshua & Jessica. It’s one of my all time fav. love stories and I’ve watched Days for over 30 years. They have nick like his dad in being true and kind and gentle and loyal. They should bring on a girl like his mother Jessica…innocent, sweet, but damaged in need of TLC.

July 13, 2008 at 10:39 pm
(20) kathy says:

I would like to see them bring in a girl kind of like Calliope a bit flaky and funny to be with Nick. Maybe make them a similar couple to Eugene and Calliope.

July 13, 2008 at 11:17 pm
(21) Ashely says:

Before I read any of the comments I was going to say the character of Nick should be gay…I see him with Max. It could be part of the unfolding of Max finding himself, as he is beginning the journey of now. And they are both very intelligent and have competed over it, which would make for another interesting angle.

July 14, 2008 at 5:51 am
(22) Margaret says:

Nick needs to hook up with NICOLE. That would be funny

July 29, 2008 at 12:25 am
(23) SHEA says:

I think Nick needs someone new maybe Max’s sister Melanie. Let them fall in love and Chelsea can see what she lost. Maybe someone to chase him the way he chased Chelsea.

(24) gina says:

Did Nick come across as really creepy to you today? (nov 5). I don’t like what they are doing with his character. I don’t like Max’s sister. She’s beautiful but a head case. Nick should be with someone sweet and demure.
