Alison Sweeney Will Host Auction Event and Make a Guest Appearance on New Reality Competition Series

Alison Sweeney is a mighty busy lady these days! In addition to DAYS and her hosting duties on The Biggest Loser, the popular star makes frequent personal appearances at fan events and on television shows.

Alison Hickey has contacted me to inform me of a live charity event which will be hosted by Alison on Tuesday, August 26th at Times Square - Military Island in New York City, located at the intersection of Broadway and 7th Avenue at 44th St. The event is called "High Profile Pair in the Square" in which stacks of donated jeans worn by celebrities such as Ryan Seacrest, Michael Kors, Donna Karan, Brittany Snow, and Miley Cyrus will be auctioned off. Alison will also be donating a pair of jeans herself. Hundreds of jeans and shirts will be dangling from clotheslines throughout Times Square. The event will begin at 10 a.m.

All proceeds from this auction will benefit Clothes Off Our Back. Additionally, one lucky person will be awarded the new GE Profile Frontload Washer and Dryer with SmartDispense Technology (approximate value is $3,500). Even if you can't be at the auction, you still have a chance to win the washer and dryer by entering the online sweepstakes. Plus, you can bid on celebrity jeans after the event on the Clothes Off Our Back website.

Clothes Off Our Back is a non-profit organization founded by actors and philanthropists Jane Kaczmarek and Bradley Whitford, where celebrity clothing is auctioned off to benefit children's charities. Speaking of Clothes Off Our Back, Alison has donated her signed rasberry Isabella Oliver Ruffle Wrap Dress to the Isabella Oliver Celebrity Maternity Fashion Auction. The dress has wide ruffle trim, bracelet sleeves, and wrap body detail. Starting bid is $150.00 and the auction ends Wednesday, August 27. Proceeds from the auction will go towards various children's charities.

Alison will make a guest appearance on the Friday, August 22 premiere of the new reality competition show Who are You Wearing?, which pits aspiring designers against one another for the opportunity to design and dress a celebrity for a red carpet event. The show premieres at 10 p.m. ET on TLC and is hosted by Keisha Whitaker.
