Blake Berris Out as Nick Fallon

Friday November 28, 2008
The December 9, 2008 issue of Soap Opera Digest has reported that Blake Berris (Nick) is out, and will be exiting the show in mid-January. Although this casting decision is disappointing, it shouldn't come as a great surprise, considering that Nick was recently revealed to be Trent's killer and Melanie's stalker. Many fans feel Blake's performance as a creepy stalker on painkillers has been outstanding and even Emmy worthy. It is highly likely that the troubled Nick will either go to prison or to the mental hospital. Many of us are sad to see another actor let go during the budget cut crisis at DAYS, but we wish Blake Berris nothing but the best. Blake has expressed in interviews that this is the best material on the show he's gotten to play as his character took a turn to the dark side. Currently, the actor has a recurring role as Corey on USA's The Starter Wife, which airs Fridays at 10 p.m. ET.

Blake is an amazing actor and his portrayal of a seriously disturbed Nick has been incredible! Sad to see him go as he is obviously a great actor! I wish him the best of luck!!!

This show is stupid for letting Nick go! So many other Salemnites never pay for their crimes. My only solace is how amazing BB has been.

this sucks. I like Nick. he was too good for either Chelsea and Melanie. He sure can pick them . He is no movie star looking thing but he is attractive in a weird way.

Still cannot belive Nick could kill anyone in coldblood. Nick killed Trent to protect Melanie and this is self-defense so why is Nick still in prison? Please donot send Nick to prison. Melanie should take a long walk off the short end of a pear and vanish.

Kate good luck with the cancer treatments.

Nick was protecting Melanie and for that he shouldnot btried for murder. He should b a case of selfdefense, and let go. Nick’s only fault is falling for the wrong girl and this is not a crime.

Nick doesnot need to b sent to prison, Nick needs help in understanding why he falls so hard and so fast for the wrong girls. Nick is a kind generious and sweet guy. Melanie used him up and threw him away.

I am sad to see Blake go! I really enjoyed his character, “Nick” on Days. I just watched his final episode, and I could tell that his tears were “real”. I can’t believe this — I just found out today; It’s almost like something was telling me to look him up. Best of luck to ya, Blake!

I have watched Days for over 40 years, I will miss Nick, I too don’t believe Nick could kill in cold blood. But I liked your charter and you, you were fresh & inocent. Good luck in all you do. I will be watching for you. But I still won’t miss my Days
