Daytime Emmy nominee Peggy McCay (Caroline) will make a guest appearance on the Sunday, February 21 episode of CBS's Cold Case, according to Soap Opera Digest and a CBS press release. McCay will play a fellow circus performer named Zelda Panay in the episode "Metamorphosis." In this episode, the team investigates the 1971 death of a teenaged circus aerialist whose mid-act fall may have been the result of foul play. Former DAYS star Joe Penny, who briefly portrayed Martino Vitali in May 2008, will also appear in this episode.
Cold Case is a drama which centers on a dedicated Philadelphia female detective named Lilly Rush, played by Kathryn Morris. Lilly is in the homicide squad and is assigned to "cold cases," or crimes, which have gone unsolved after a certain period of time. She interrogates witnesses whose lives and circumstances have changed since the crime and makes good use of today's scientific methods to solve cases from the past. Danny Pino, John Finn, Thom Barry, Jeremy Ratchford, and Tracie Thoms also star in the CBS Sunday night drama.
Tune in to Cold Case on CBS Sunday, February 21 at 10 p.m. ET to see beloved Days of Our Lives actress Peggy McCay in a very different role.
