Days of Our Lives star Leann Hunley (Anna) will make a guest appearance on CBS's NCIS, according to TV Guide. The Daytime Emmy Award-winning actress will play Joann in an 80's flashback set. Award-winning actress Gena Rowlands, who Leann bears a striking resemblance to, will play the present-day Joann. Magazine
In this episode, Joann is the former mother-in-law of Mark Harmon's character Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, and there is bad blood between Joann and Gibbs. Joann is very angry at Gibbs for taking her daughter and grandchild away when his job was relocated, and as a result of the move, his family was murdered by a Mexican drug dealer. Mark Harmon's son Sean will play the younger Gibbs in the flashback scenes opposite the lovely Leann. The episode will air Tuesday, March 2 at 8 p.m.
NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) is a spinoff of the series JAG and is an action drama which contains liberal doses of humor, focusing on the complex and amusing dynamics of a team working together in high-stress situations. The series stars Mark Harmon, Michael Weatherly, Rocky Carroll, Cote de Pablo, Sean Murray, and Pauley Perrette.
