By February 18, 2010

Follow me on:

Former DAYS star Austin Peck, who portrayed boxer-turned-business-executive Austin Reed from 1995 until 2002 and again from 2005 until 2006, will star in Martin Casella's play The Irish Curse. This comedy centers on a group of Irish-American men who meet every Wednesday night at a support group for men with "tiny shortcomings." This play tackles the male obsession with masculinity, sex, and body image as it poses the question on the minds of many men: "Do I measure up to the next guy?"

Performances for The Irish Curse will take place at the Soho Playhouse in New York City. The play runs from Wednesday, March 17 until Sunday, May 30. Official opening night is Sunday, March 28. Showtimes begin at 8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday nights. Performances on Saturday are 3 p.m. and 8 p.m., Sunday performances are 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 24 will be a special matinee performance at 3 p.m. Tickets are $59 per person. Call (212) 691-1555 or order online.

The Irish Curse also stars Dan Butler, Roderick Hill, Scott Jaeck, and Brian Leahy. Matt Lenz is the director, and Sarahbeth Grossman and Craig Zehms are the producers.
