Mary Beth Evans Cast on New Web Series

Former Days of Our Lives star, soap icon, entrepreneur, and blogger Mary Beth Evans (Kayla) has been cast as the starring role on the new web series called The Bay, according to her official website and other sources.

The Bay follows the life of socialite Sara Garrett, played by Evans, and the people around her. This new web series compares to Aaron Spelling's classic 1980's primetime soap opera Dynasty, in that it's filled with sex, lies, scandal, and everything required to make a hit soap.

In addtion to Evans, several other soap stars have been cast in this new web series, including Sandra Robinson (ex-Charlotte) John Callahan (Dr. Baker), Tristian Rogers (Scorpio, GH), and Lily Melgar (Lily, GH). Another surprise which may entice DAYS fans to watch: Martha Madison (ex-Belle) has been cast to play Evans's daughter Marly in the new web series.

The Bay is produced, directed, and written by Gregori J. Martin. Tristian Rogers is one of the co-producers and is also producing the new web series Reality Bytes. The Bay is scheduled to shoot its opening credit sequence with the entire cast on Thursday, May 20th in Marina Del Rey, California. Production will begin in June.
