Days of Our Lives beloved vet Mary Beth Evans will be returning to the show in September as Kayla Brady Johnson for an undetermined length of time, according to Soap Opera Digest. Fans recall that Evans recently returned for Alice's memorial. Unfortunately, Stephen Nichols (ex-Steve) will not be returning with her, since the actor now portrays Tucker on The Young and the Restless. Let's just hope the writers don't do to Steve and Kayla what they've done to Bo and Hope. Regardless, it will be wonderful to see Kayla return to Salem again.
In addition to returning to DAYS, Evans is returning to As the World Turns as Sierra. She will first air on Wednesday, July 21. The actress is also keeping busy blogging for Hybrid Mom and running Mary Beth's Apple Pie Company.
As previously reported, Evans has been cast as Sara Garrett on the hottest new web series The Bay, which premieres in September. She will be among the stars attending a fundraiser fan event at Henry's Hat restaurant in Los Angeles on Saturday, July 31 from 7 until 10 p.m. Tickets are $50 each. The evening's festivities will include a complimentary buffet of hors d'oeuvres and an open bar serving complimentary beer and wine from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. The evening will also include raffles and auctions offering exclusive autographed items, a walk on role on The Bay, and V.I.P passes.
