Could another daytime veteran be making his way to Salem? Soap Opera Digest has posted a cryptic item on their website, noting that Ian Buchanan was seen dining at Spago restaurant in Los Angeles with Days of Our Lives' new head writers Marlene McPherson and Darrell Ray Thomas, Jr. and co-executive producer Greg Meng.
Days' new regime has already wooed Sarah Brown (Madison) to the fold and brought back a number of fan favorites, including Matthew Ashford (Jack), Deidre Hall (Marlena) and Drake Hogestyn (John). Adding Buchanan to the show's mix would be an interesting turn.
Buchanan, of course, rose to daytime fame as Duke Lavery on General Hospital from 1986 to 1989. He has also played Dr. Greg Madden on All My Children (2005-2006) and Dr. James Warwick on The Bold and the Beautiful (1993-1994, 2004).
Back in 2001, Buchanan made a cameo appearance on Days as Lord Sheraton at the coronation of Greta Von Amberg.
