The list of stars returning to Days of Our Lives appears to be growing. The Huffington Post is reporting that Lisa Rinna, who created the role of Billie Reed in 1992, is headed back to the show and will begin taping in December.
Rinna, who played Billie from 1992 to 1995, returned briefly in 2002 for a 6-month stint. Julie Pinson portrayed the character from 2004 to 2008.
Billie's last run in Salem ended when she left for Europe to oversee the securities division of Titan offices in London. In 2009, it was mentioned that Billie had been in a terrible accident that required multiple surgeries and intensive physical therapy. The twist facilitated Rachel Melvin's exit from the show, as Chelsea moved to England to help her mom through her recovery.

This is great news!! Love her! But I know not everybody is going to be as giddy as I am.
I see a Madison, Quinn, Brady connection here. I see something involving Kate’s demise. I can also see a potential Rafe/Billie private investigative service. I see her becoming a bit too close to Rafe causing problems with Sami. I really don’t see her making problems for Bo and Hope. Perhaps Rachel Melvin will come back, too.
Funny you should say Rafe doing PI investigative work. As I mentioned before, I haven’t been watching Days for a few weeks now–as a matter of fact, I just started back watching today, due to being so busy with work/home life, so I don’t know in detail the whole Rafe/Billie story..BUT when I found out Rafe would be fired I thought immediately about Rafe doing self-employment law work, a la Bo & Hope did back in the days of “Brady & Brady”. How I miss those days!, but it has returned–albeit as employees though…..Anyway, yeah..I’m not sure about working with Billie but I do think he may do some kind of work law work as his own boss!
Today’s Brady and Madison…MY-OH-MY…Got a little hot in that office–hahaha!

Rafe did talk of PI work but said that it would be too costly so maybe that’s where Billie will figure in putting up the investment for it. In reality, though, you don’t even need a set office for PI work. It can be done from your home and you meet clients at a central location like a restaurant. It might not have been so in times past as there were no laptops and IPads, IPhones, etc. But nowadays, you can easily do just about any business job from them.
Can’t wait to see the Halloween costumes! Saw them in the network pics but looking forward to seeing them in action.
Love the actress …hate the character of Billie. If they’re bringing her back to mess with Bo and Hope, give it a rest. The story is old,old,older than dirt…unpopular then, worse now. It they’re going to give her something to do, other than create that triangle again, I’m open to it. But honestly , I know some of them are tied up now, I’d rather see new Belle, old Shawn, and Claire come back!!!!

Meh. I could do without her return. Too many returning vets with contrived stories to fill the space. I’d rather the writers concentrate on telling good stories for those who are on screen already rather than relying on stunt casting to draw in viewers.
Welcome home Billie. We have missed you. You bring such fun and energy to any story line you are involved in and always seem to have a good time doing so.
It is great that Lisa Rinna will be returning, but I sure hope they don’t mess with Bo and Hope’s relationship. Been there, done that. That would be a BIG MISTAKE!!!!!!!!!!
I like Lisa Rinna but Julie Pinson became a favorite of mine as
BIllie and she played it last.
She is a nice person, but sure wish she could get her lip surgery reversed. Loved her look before.

Liked her as Billie before; she should have stayed away. She stinks now!!! She seems to be too concerned with posing rather than getting into character. She’s not even believable. I can’t believe that she is so much worse an actress now. Go home Lisa–get rid of her before you lose more viewers than you already have.
I was excited about Lisa Rhinna returning too. But I have to agree her acting is very subpare he old Bille days. And I don’t know she was a beautiful person but her new plastic aditions were not becoming. She appears more Kates age now… Just don’t understand why a God given beauty like her would mess with that….

Billie is so disappointing. She was great before, but now she seems fake.
Her botox is so distracting and there are no expression lines left.
Why in the world she did that to herself is a mystery to me and other friends. She was so beautiful naturally and fun to look at. Why these women think they have to continue looking like 20’s something is just plain crazy. Marlene did the same thing. I have had to work hard to visualize the original beauty she had.
They are mixing everything up again on Days with little stability in any relationship. It is getting hard to watch. I can’t believe they messed Daniel & Jennifer up. Abigail is disgusting.
I think it is fine she is back, but I do find it distracting that she now looks older than her mother! Of course, the actresses are only 11 years apart – but, I guess it is good they said she had been in an accident.
What happened to her face?? All that plastic is hindering her ability to act ..I can’t distinguish whether she is laughing or crying – her face expression remains the same. She seems more focused on posing for the camera than actually emerging herself into the character. PLEASE let her return on this show be a quick as possible. It is impossible to take her serious.
