I just started watching Days in September after stopping two and a half years ago. At first, I thought, wow, the show has finally matured the Sami character, and I like the new direction they’re taking her in. However, after today’s vicious attack on John and Marlena ( who Sami doesn’t even call mom) and the upcoming sex nonsense with EJ, I am totally disappointed. Everyone can be there over and over again to support Sami in her unending screw ups. She is never there for anyone else. She is a perpetual toddler. With Sami it’s always ME, ME, ME… I don’t know if it’s the writing or the actress’s interpretation, but she is too self-centered and vindictive, and I’d like to see her mature or exit.
I too had stopped watching Days for over a year. I was excited about the so called “reset” but have to say that I am fast losing interest again. The show is as big a mess as ever. Bringing back Carrie and Austin was a mistake because they are boring and the idea of Carrie saving John’s ass is ridiculous. Sami tried to kill EJ and he is going to sleep with her again! And we all know that no one in Salem, especially Sami never uses birth control. And anyone can see from a mile away that Daniel is going to turn out to be a Dimera. Right now, the only thing that keeps me hanging on is Jack.
I agree. There is something very doggish about being in the arms of a man you shot, who kidnapped and tortured YOUR HUSBAND. (I saw a bit of the love scene with EJ and Sami).

It doesn’t have to make sense in the “real world!” I stopped watching it for months at a time because it was so boring…I wanted everyone to fight like they used to instead of being so grown up & responsible & NICE…this is FICTION not REAL LIFE people!! Enjoy the madness that DOOL used to be & has finally come back!! I say BRAVO to the writers for finally spicing things up again between everyone & for Sami’s character to finally be the person she always was but had stuffed away to be “good”. I wish I was Sami’s mother.I’d be knocking her into next week real fast.I really thought she had her head on stright but all I see is a spoiled little brat.Rafe you dont deserve her go take her sister like she did to Carrie years back.(Leading up to that anyways) You writers your going to lose this show if you dont come up with some better scripts.I can see it coming

For the most part, I do love watching Days, otherwise I would not watch it, but I, like I guess MANY others, DO want to care about the characters too. It’s just human nature, with some of us anyway.
I care about Rafe, so yeah, excuse me for getting angry at promiscuous “Slutty-Sami”…I just can’t watch a show and not give a damn about the characters and they can be hurt, raped, beaten, killed, whatever, just as long as there is ACTION. Just not my personality and how I watch any TV show–soap or not. I need to care about some and thus get pissed when something bad happens to them.

He was going on how if he didn’t set John up little Johnny wouldn’t be missing and being so upset and concerned and taking the blame but as soon as Sami comes over, he starts blaming her, Rafe,Roman,John and her family but he’s the one who framed John it the first place so he’s the one to blame! No one else! I hope John is eventually cleared and the authorities find out EJ mastermind the whole thing and gets whats coming to him and his blowhard FAH THER! The DiMeras will pay one day!

DOOL has just told every person (again) that it is OK to have unprotected sex with several men, I hope Rafe leaves her cold, maybe Wil should leave the show, we saw the Devil and Marlena for a whole year, I just hope John’s story is short lived.

So, these are the new writers. Bringing John and Marlena back has not done a thing for the show. BORING. Sami with her legs open again, no surprise, but glad Will caught the slut. Time to move away from that dis -functional mother. I am loving her two faced drama queen. Oh please not another pregnancy though.

I’ve watched this show since 1976, and so many times wonder why. Sami really can’t do much right. Sami and EJ really do deserve each other, and Rafe does deserve someone better, but I don’t want to see Carrie and Austin split up. I’d looked forward to John and Marlena’s return, but John’s driving me crazy with the same theatrics he showed before he left. Chill, John, and act like a rational, human being. Got no problem with Sonny being gay, but hate that they’re going that way with Will. Bring in someone new if you need a partner for Sonny.
What would Alice and Stefano have in common to bond them together? ZACK. Zack did not die in the hit and run. He suffered brain damage and was in a coma, and Alice went to Stefano because he knows the best “Doctors” to get Zack the treatments he needed. That is why Alice’s funds are all over the place. Alice felt it was best for Bo and Hope to think Zack was dead than a lifetime of caring for him in a vegatative state, and with Stefano’s help she could pull this off, I have thought for years Zack was alive somewhere, and found it strange Bo and Hope talked about him the other day. JMO
The Alice/Stefano thing sure is interesting. I don’t know what it could be, just as long as Sami isn’t a DiMera. I’m so hoping her and EJ will get back together. Started watching daily just last week because of Monday’s episode. Can’t wait for more between those two!

For some reason, I think Stefano found out when he opened the envelope that, Susan gave Alice info about EJ’s birth and that he was Stefano’s child! . This is the first thing that came to my brain!
There has always been something between Sami and Ej. And through all the bad things that happened with them, that fine line is there. They were in grief for their dead child and what started out in lashing out to blame ended in lust. They can not be that connected and it not lead to sex!
Stephano may not be Ej’s dad either!!!! Could he be a Horton????
