Now that Days of Our Lives has announced that Bryan R. Dattilo is resurrecting his role of Lucas Horton, it's time to speculate on how the character will fit back into the scheme of things in Salem.

Lucas needs to stay in Hong Kong. I see all the lumi fans are bashing people and spamming the boards with their stupid lumi bs. I think lumis are even worse than the ejamis ejamis just spam spam spam any thing and every thing. I’m an EJAMI fan so obviously I would like Lucas to return for his children and only for his children, not for Sami, unless the character would have some changes in his attitude/presentation. He has to be nicer not only to Sami but also to EJ. And in a lot of scenes they had before he talks non stop with all the bickering and insults and sometimes it pisses viewers off. With EJ’s character’s charm and wit, of course the audience would be drawn to him. Who would not want to be with a polite and hot Englishman? somebody who could be angry but could also control and mince his words.

wow, such hatred and energry and magge, once upon a time you were showing Lucas and Lumi love all over our board. Now you want Lucas to go away, wow, all I can say is wow. Guess u were Ej and Sami all along and just spammed a Lumi sight all that time. For those of you saying the Lumis are bashing, thats a load of bull, its always been the Ejamis bashing and making people want to stay away from the sites. Well no more, Lucas is back and signed a two year contract, and as for spamming, we Lumis have busy lives and don’t have the time to sit around under ten screen names like the ejamis and vote like that.
Where’s the option All the Above. These are all great choices. First he should be there for Will most importantly… then of course pick up the pieces of Sami’s life, like he always has and then eventually reunite because they are soulmates.
Not a lumi fan, but I am glad that Lucas is back. He needs to be there for his children and to be the actual Dad, not Rafe. His son will really need him. He is also great in the role of confidant for Sami. He knows Sami really well, and has always known that Sami loves EJ. I think he wouldn’t take Sami back especially now that she has slept with EJ again. He has always told her the straight truth, and he is so much more tolerable as a friend than as her lover. I got so tired of hearing him yell and belittle her! No more, please! I would love for Lucas to come back with a special someone and have a real chance at happiness.

The character has always annoyed me but I’d rather see him be a father to Will than Rafe. That’s all I’ve got.

I have seen the spamming and bashing from the lumis for my self you call people that do not agree with you rape lovers that want to be raped and bitches among other names. Go to the second chances lumi board the lumis wrote it for all to read. Do not be a Sami and Rafe fan and go to Daytime Royalty either they will really bash you there. I might hate ejami and find the pairing vile but at least I do not bash the fans for their misguided thinking like you lumis do. I enjoy Lucas’s character and am glad he is making a return to Salem. I believe that Will may need his father during this very challenging time in his young life. Lucas is also a close friend to Sami. I do not however see a return to any romantic entanglement between between Lucas and Sami because Sami’s heart lies elsewhere,
I’m ecstatic that Bryan Dattilo is back as Lucas Horton. I can’t wait for his scenes to air. I want a Lucas-centric story at first and as time goes by then LUMI can happen. I would prefer a long drawn out story because it is the angst that is the best between Lucas and Sami. I want so major humor and some battling going on. OMG can you imagine if they go back to writing like they used to for these two. I’m such a happy Days fan now.
whatever I have also seen it on the part of the Ejamis so its not like they r the innocent lily white victims they claim to be. I guess it doesn’t really matter this poll has been reset, bc people do not have the time to set around spamming polls. I know I don’t and all the Lumis I know don’t. I am still and always will be proud to be part of a very loyal, die hard fan base. You can say what you will, your hatred shows clear and I have a hard time believing anyone would take the time to be that mean about a soap actor. That imho is pretty sad. I think the majority of folks love having Bryan back and its all good if you don’t like Lucas but why the need to be so mean? Just shows a lot about personality I guess.
Wow Ivan! Such nastiness! My gosh, so transparent. A LOT of people are overjoyed that Bryan is back. That’s why they are bringing him back. They were well aware of the demand and desire to have Bryan back. The ratings have been so horrible since he left. I am not saying he’s the reason for that. But having him back couldn’t hurt right.
And if he’s back for Sami so be it. They have been having lots of scenes together. They did have a great history and magic! I for one enjoyed the show much more when they were together. And face it, Sami has NEVER, will never love EJ except in some fans minds and ejami will never be on on the table. I am just glad to have Bryan on my screen and something tells me it’s not for a short time. His fans are overjoyed, his co-workers and castmates are overjoyed and he seems very happy so how about not being such spoil sports and let us all be happy.
Not everyone is overjoyed about Lucas coming back. Your right about one thing Sami never loved EJ and never will love him. He is Stephano Jr she was never ment to love him like Marlena was never ment to love Stephano. EJ like his father are angst for the true couples which is not Sami and Lucas. She never loved Lucas either when they were together the only person she loved then was herself until Rafe came along and made her a better person. Lucas and EJ never knew the real Sami and they dont understand like Rafe. Out of all the guys the only one she loved is Rafe and Rafe is the only one that loves her for her true self. You lumis and ejamis do what you do best spam and bash each other looks like that is what you enjoy doing.

Let Lucas come back and have the “new” writers make him a strong man and not the doormat that his women made him. Between his mother and his wives he was emasculated. Let him be strong and virile and wanted by some hot, sensible, decent woman who make all his other sluts jealous. Stand by Will, however that story line goes. That is a very, very difficult thing for a parent. It almost killed me when my son told me. But, I accepted and am glad he found himself and he is happy. And to your homophobes, this is not a choice, it happens in genes. If I could go back in time I would never marry my husband, who I am sure is also gay. Long story, but that could be a soap in itself. He will never admit it to himself…too “religious.”

Great! I love Lucas character. I love Lucas and Sami as a couple. I don’t know if its headed in that direction, but it would be awesome if it did.
I have watched Days of our Lives since day one. I haven’t always agreed with how the story lines go, but I watch it. The way I feel about it , if you don’t like that part of the story, move on to the part you do like. Why go on and on bashing this character or that one. It ‘ a soap opera and no one is happy all the time. We don’t always get what we want.
If you don’t like how the storylines go, move on to another soap and let those of us who do want to watch enoy the part we do.
Old thread but as I just stumbled across it, I find the need to comment, pointing out that comment # 5 by Ivan making accusations and name-calling Lumi fans was completely unfounded and unjustified looking at the comments above his as comments 1-4 did not call any names or make derogatory comments about any other fans like yours did… So is your comment what the old expression says, ‘the pot calling the kettle black?’ Wait no, that can’t be it, because the comments above yours weren’t negative and accusatory like yours were.
One other thing to note is that ‘if’ the comment # 5 by Ivan and Ivan’s own name-calling and bashing was in response to another post somewhere else on this website, or as you have alluded to in later posts – from other websites altogether, then this comment should have been placed on those websites instead of this one as there is no way to know whether the fans on this site have even even visited the other sites you’ve mentioned, let alone posted there.

I just want to say I have enjoyed the Lucas character since the first time I saw him on the show in the 90’s, and never more than when he was in that tumultuous relationship with Sami. However, I know nothing stays perfect for long-especially that disastrous marriage of theirs, but I still watch the show because it feels like its mine.
where is the choice for days fans who want none of the above? Come on now, Dad pops back into to town, finally talks to his son for five minutes and his words of wisdom are “people may get the wrong idea”?
