Wow….Days is going for the hat trick….consistent boredom for the past two weeks….these reveals are getting annoying now because they’re exaclty like they were before…a melodramatic buildup at a snail’s pace and then THREE weeks later that’s when the fallout comes…and I don’t who is in charge of the storylines, but they are focusing on the wrong characters….and recycling the same crap with the same characters…
Totally agree. HOW LONG did we have to wait to find out about that stupid box??? And the Abigail/Austin storyline . . forever. Not to mention Chad/Melanie.
Well either I must be in another dimension or the other two commenters are but I feel this is some of the best DAYS in a long time. I guess they don’t mention here about Ian becoming CEO of Titan since there was a commercial on TV about it for sometime this upcoming week. I do though admit it seems like there is a lot of kissy poo, haha.
This week’s Days looks to be pretty good. I have a feeling Stephano learns that EJ is a Horton not a DeMira. The Abby/Austin storyline is stupid. He is old enough to be her father, and Alice wouldn’t have kept the secret of a John/Gina(Hope) marraige. So that part doesn’t fly with me at all. Otherwise this week looks like it will be a good one for the first time is a long time.
@MM, I think your confused. Alice didn’t know about John and Hope being married. Stefano was the only one who knew about their marriage and the marriage certificate was in Stefano’s envelope, not Alice’s. Stefano is going to open Alice’s envelope this week. When Alice and Stefano put the two envelopes in the box neither of them knew what was in the others envelope.

Well maybe I’m in a different dimension, and I think I’ll stay there until this crap is ove. You like the upcoming week, then fine. Maybe you just have low standards when it comes to Television. But after last week’s eventless drama, I’m not looking forward to this week’s Tea Time brouhaha because nothing’s happening.
@SS You are quite right. I was mistaken when I said Alice wouldn’t have kept a secret like that. My error. Had Alice known what was in the envelope, she never would have kept the secret. But it was reveiled that she was blackmailing someone. Stephano maybe because EJ is a Horton. Since John and Hope are the only ones that can go get the anulment, why do I have the feeling they are going to write it where they have an affair again or drag it out for months on end? They need to end the Austin/ Abby s/l right now. It is STUPID!!!!!

Since Alice was supposed to find someone to save EJ, I have a feeling he died and they put some one else in his place.
I have a feeling the real EJ died and they put an imposter in his place to make Sephano think he lived after Alice tried to help but couldn’t.
I’ll say it again and again till the writers stop writing stupid storylines and get back writing real stories that we want. Since the reboot, Days is….

I will say this over and over till the writers start writing better material. I’m sick and tired of these dull,stupid and BORING storylines.
What happened to the hospital,the pier, The Cheatin Heart,Chez Rouge and so? I like the town square but I think they should still have those other sets.
Also, I notice that no one ever pays for anything anywhere. Does everyone run a tab? Also a few weeks ago John says to Marlena that they have no money and there checking account is 17 cents in the red, so now they all of sudden, he has money to restart Basic Black and have money to go to Alaimnia? Boy I wish it was that easy in real life
@Bender. You are quite right. No body pays for anything or seems to worry about money other than to say they don’t have any. They don’t talk about the price of gas, what their electric/gas bills are, rent/mortgage, how they are going to pay for this or that, how much it is costing for books for college, etc. Everyday normal things. And for that matter, if John and Marlena live in a ‘penthouse’, how was a brick able to be tossed through the window? From a plane?! Do the writers bother to think about things like that? Guess not.
You are all correct! Nobody pays for anything! And for those who do have real jobs, no one ever eally works, they just go there to hang out! But truth be told, I hate paying my own bills while stretching my nickels as far as they will go; so, I don’t want to hear about that kind of misery on my soaps. I want to escape from the drab and the hum-drum when I watch!

After 45+ years of watching, I finally hit the off button last week.
Reasons: 1) John, Marlena, Bo & Hope / Gina. Really…..
2) Jennifer, Abe concocting stealing and lying. Maybe super sluths, but not lying and stealing.
3) Abigil??? Is she really turning into a Jr. Sami or Nicole??
4 )Rafe, Carrie…what will the do next put Sami and Austin back together?
5)Marlena really close with Will? When did that happen? She was never around. Kate had more to do with his upbringing than “M”.
6)Madison. enough said.
Reason to turn on and peek…Will’s story: CHANDLER MASSEY one of the BEST actors to come to tv soaps since Ray Liotta on Another Wold.

I liked today’s (2/13/2012) episode. I really liked the the scenes of Melanie and Abigail. I really liked where they were hugging and back at the house where they were sitting by the fire and Abigail put her head against Melanie’s and were very close. As a lesbian, (No, I’m not a butch, very feminine & girly) I was thinking maybe down the road could they be setting up a lesbian storyline. Abigails feels bad when she can’t have Jack and Chad decides to be with Gaby, both Melanie & Abigail are very hurt and they get really close and decided they had enough of men and become attracted to each over and start a passionate relationship. Can anyone see that? I would love a storyline like that.
Joe Mascolo (Stefano) looks great for his age. I would say I hope I would look that good when I’m 82 but at 45, I have diabetes, weigh 350lbs,had a triple bypass,sky high cholesterol, I eat Mcdnald’s alot which I love, drink like a fish,love my jack Daniels, Southern Comfort and Buds. Plus I smoke 2 packs of Marlboro Reds a day and I look like I’m about 65 already,so I don’t think I’m going to see 82. My Dr. told me I’ll be very lucky to make 60 at the rate I’m going. I started this lifestyle when I was 15 and sorry I did. I tell teenagers now don’t start this because you’ll end up like me. Its too late for but not for them. I’m going to get ready for tomorrow’s episode, eat a Big Mac, kick back a few shots of Jack and a few Buds and enjoy.
Gosh Darn it! I missed today’s episode and you know why? Plastic bags!!
I need some thing from the supermarket so I hopped in my car and drove to the Jewel T Supermarket and bought what I needed and when I went back to my car, the plastic bags broke and everything went all over. My large Hellman’s mayonnaise jar broke and mayonnaise was all over the ground,my milk carton broke and leaked and my whole dozen eggs were all smashed. All because of cheap plastic bags! I was mad! I went in and told the manager what happened and he agreed the plastic bags are cheap and thin and he comped me another jar of Hellma’s,Milk and another dozen eggs. That was very nice of him. You would think what supermarkets charge these days for groceries, they would make much thicker and stronger plastic bags. What does everyone think? Hopefully I can catch today’s show on soapnet. Stupid cheap plastic bags!!!!
You tell’em babe!! I’ve got so I stack my stuff together in separate piles on the conveyor belt, and instruct the cashier to please bag each pile as I have laid it out. When a heavy is included, I request double-bagging. ‘
Gotta tell this little thing on myself.~ I have a little hand-held gadget that allows me to slip the handles of several plastic bags over the “prongs” of the gadget so that I can carry in several sacks at a time. But the other day, my eyes deceived me and I piled on too many trying to avoid an extra trip. Halfway up my 5 stairs, I( suddenly realized i was going down.
I had ahold of the wrought iron rail, but somehow I got twisted around and down I went. Landed sitting on the sack containing my half gal. of milk and a pt. of Half and Half. But the remainder of the contents of that little handle, were on top of me. Also, I carry a shoulder purse, and always throw it over my shoulder to my back so as to free both hands. Now, the strap of the purse got caught around one of the little whirls on the wrought iron. And there I was! Couldn’t move. Sitting on my milk with all the rest piled on top of me! Oh, I finally wiggled around enough to get loose and got in with the only victim being my soft drink I’d also been tryng to get inside with. Milk carton sure looks funny, but didn’t lose a drop. ~~~Sure was glad I was in the back yard and not the front for all the neighbors to see!

The Abby/Austin situation is just crazy and a bad choice! In fact, it’s really a dumb move. And, yes, the kissy kissy mess ups are a little toooo much right now. They have let go of the best Actors that were great on the show and now are hard up for something good with the ‘young people’ who are left. Bring Chloe and Daniel back, those two, especially Daniel, were the best. As I said before, Chole did give the show Class, Grade A Talent and she was a good Actor, too. How about giving all these actors better story lines and make it a ‘real professional show’. Days is the last of a dieing breed, I hope they start realizing that and make Days the very best it can be, so it can out live all the others by staying ON THE AIR!!! Come on writers, leave all the Abby/Austin kindof crap out of it, these scenes just do not fit the two actors…get real, and make it lots better…you can do it! I love this show and do want it to stay on but need to see better scripts altogether, instead of badly written teenager crushes on a married man. Get this show going in a better direction, make it real…and make it work..NOW!
Wow, Sami give it a rest. You keep saying you have grow. Give Rafe a break especially after what you did with EJ. If you have grown I would fight tooth and nail for my husband. Show your cheating sister just how much you have grow. Get a back bone, your son (Will) sure has, he stood up to you did he not. Rafe is the best thing that ever happened to you and your children. Don’t wait till it is too late.
I like the new character Ian…..but I REALLY don’t like the actor that plays the part. He doesn’t have the strong, charismatic, evil air about him…..just not believeable. I’m glad they have created a new “older villian” for the show…..just wish it was another actor. Just don’t think he fills the Ian they are trying to portray.
These story lines are getting so boring…..Abigail/Austin, John/Hope, Sami/Rafe, and now we’re about to embark on a rerun….EJ probably being a Brady!! Whoa Nellie!! Let’s get some better writing and story line material here, pls….I’ve watched DOOL for 40 years and soon, I will be shutting it off. The story lines of all the Soaps are so similar a person can go to any one of them and pick up on a same story. Lets get back to some good real story telling…
