Days' Deidre Hall Launches Cosmetics Line

Deidre HallDays of Our Lives fans have been admiring Marlena's pretty face for years. Now they can actually try the beauty products the actress who plays her wears, because Deidre Hall has launched a new cosmetics line.

"I've always been in love with the idea of doing a cosmetics line," says Hall. "Because my needs are so specific and what I would want to do is so specific, I don't want to branch out into 100 products. I just want to give women exactly what they need; the essentials to leave the house in every day."

The result is Deidre Cosmetics, a skin care/cosmetics line that Hall teamed up with make-up artist Michael Marcus to create. It features five products: firming eye cream, day/night moisturizer, tinted primer, blush/bronzer and high definition powder.

Hall, who tested every product, wears them on Days and swears by all of them. "They are all light and delicate - the tinted primer, the HD powder, the blush bronzer..." she notes. "So you can never look overdone."

In time, Hall hopes to expand the line. "We might do some mascaras and other different things," says Hall. "But, right now, this is the essential part."

I love watching Deidre on Days, I’ve been a fan of hers for years. I’m also a makeup junkie. The HD powder sounds amazing. I can’t wait to try her products.

Not surprised that Deidre came up with a cosmetics line. Well, she herself didn’t come up with it. Some company did and she licesed her name to it. She has no degree in cosmetology so there is no participation in the making of it. She just reaps a hefty dividend from the sales of it. Why on earth do celebrities feel they have to attach their name to everything? The ones that pay are the naive consumers who feel their products are the end all be all when they are just overpriced overblown average items.

I’d like to try the line. It’s not very expensive and I like that she is selling the items as a kit, not separately. She obviously believes that all the products should be used together.
