Bo sleeps in his hospital room when Ava enters. Im sorry I have to do this Bo, but I really hate when people mess with me, she says like a scorned woman. She slowly walks over to his IV and injects a substance which causes him to flatline. It turns out that it was only Hopes nightmare. Hope has another dream in which Ava taunts Kayla about Patch loving her and having a baby with her. Kayla offers to let Ava have Steve if he really loves her that much. Ava yells how sick she is of everyone lying to her and throws Kayla out the window. Hope then dreams that shes chasing after Bo on the docks, but Bo says he cant come with her. Hope is crying and begging him not to leave her as he tells her to be careful and to give Ciara a kiss for him. Ill always love you, he professes before he leaves. Hope wakes up horrified and is desperate to get out of there. She rummages through the room searching for a key or some way out.
At the Vitaliti compound, Steve wanders around his room searching for a way out, then deduces that theres no way out of there. Ah, Sweetness. How the hell did I get us into this mess? he asks. He vows to tell Kayla everything from the beginning when the whole ordeal is over. He flashes back to an erotic moment in bed with Ava, who tells him how amazing he is. Ava is clearly intrigued by Steve and assumes theres a lot more to him that meets the eye. She refers to Steve as a kind and decent man who would never hurt anyone. He says hell never hurt her, which she knows. She marvels how good and safe she feels with him. Youre my angel. You saved my life, he admits. You saved mine too, in ways you will never know, she quivers. Steve wipes her tears and kisses her before coming back to reality. Steve flashes back again to being in bed with Ava, telling her how amazing she is for putting up with him. Ava professes to love him and insists they belong together. Marry me, she whispers. Steve is overwhelmed by her proposal. Ava enthuses how she wants to be with him and grow old together. She never thought she could trust another man enough to give him her heart until he came along. She professes to love him and promises to be a good wife. Steve is hesitant to say yes due to her father. Ava agrees to settle for Vegas instead of a grand wedding. She smiles how she wants a big family, starting with a little boy who looks just like him. He refers to her as the most beautiful woman hes ever known and prefers to start with a little girl who looks like her. Ava is overwhelmed with joy when he agrees to marry her in Vegas. Steve comes back to reality and pounds on the door yelling for Angelo. Angelo finally answers the door and demands to know what the hell he wants. Steve wants information on Ava, insisting that Ava is sick and needs a doctor. Angelo blames Steve for Avas condition. Steve claims he cares about Ava. Angelo seethes how he would kill Steve with his bare hands if it wasnt for Avas orders to leave him alone.
At the pub, Bo shows Kayla a DVD, which contains footage from the surveillance camera at the hospital parking lot around the time Hope left. He inserts it into his laptop, where they see cars pulling into the lot and cars leaving the lot. They see Hopes car, with another woman at the wheel and Hope in the backseat. A fuming Bo wonders what the hell they did to his wife. Kayla tells him not to panic, reminding him that Steve said she was fine. Their next step is to figure out where Hopes car was headed.
Bo concludes that Ava has Hope. And most likely Steve, too, worries Kayla. Bo tries to implore his frantic sis to stay positive, believing that theyll figure something out. He then realizes that to go anywhere around Salem, one has to cross bridges, which nowadays have security cameras installed. He calls his friend Bill Lander, who works in the Department of Transportation, and asks him for the footage from the security cameras that are on the bridges. He gives a description of Hopes car, then tells Kayla that the system plugs in the car description and all they have to do is sort out the plates.
Kayla makes tea and encourages Bo to take a rest, but he says no way. A nervous Kayla proceeds to nibble on some pie before Bo gets a call back from his friend Bill Lander. Bo gets good news revealing that Hopes car went over a bridge going into Brookville right after it left the hospital, but the bad news is that Brookvilles no small town. Bo realizes that he knows someone who may be able to help them if the price is right. Kayla wonders if they can trust this person and if he knows anything about the Vitalis. Bo states that they have no choice.
Kayla isnt crazy about the police informant named Earl coming there and wonders if they just cant get information over the telephone. Bo states that he does a cash and carry business. Earl knocks on the door and Bo lets him in and gives him 200 bucks to start talking. Earl refuses to put his neck on the line for 200 dollars, so Bo give him 50 more and says its all hes got. Earl states thats its too bad. An angry Bo grabs Earl and fumes how the Vitalis have his wife and threatens to break the dude in half if he doesnt start talking. You tell me what I wanna know or youre a dead man! demands Bo. Kayla yells at him to take it easy and apologizes to Earl, then asks him if the Vitalis have a place near Brookville. Earl reveals that they have a compound north of town where he used to make deliveries. He informs them that just because the Vitalis have a place near town doesnt mean thats where Bos wife is. He warns Bo that Hopes as good as dead if Bo goes in the Vitali place with his hot temper and guns blazing. Even if shes not dead, shes dead wherever they have her, he suspects. Bo thanks him for the warning and shoves some money in his pocket.
