Victor arrives at the hospital to see Chelsea, where a nurse informs him that she left for more testing. After the nurse exits, Nicole barges in and is furious that hes kicking her out of the mansion. You are not welcome in my house, Nicole. And if you try to enter it again Ill have you arrested, he threatens. Nicole asserts that she has every right to live in the mansion and will take him to court if she has to. Nicole asks if he kicked Chloe out too. I did. Ive thrown out all the trash, declares Victor. Nicole warns him that he should still be nice to her, implying that he wouldnt want her to tell everyone his dirty little secret. Victor remarks how most women become more graceful with age, but Nicole just becomes more desperate. Nicole counters that shes vindictive and warns him to be careful. I am moving back into the mansion, asserts Nicole. Victor threatens to have her arrested if she does such a thing. Nicole insists that she knows his secret which could destroy his family, but he believes shes bluffing.
Marlena is dressed to the nines and enters the DiMera living room, where John is lighting candles and pouring champagne for his date. She notes how nice he looks and asks who hes dining with tonight. My date is with Nicole Kiriakis, reveals John. Marlena asks if its a dinner date or business date. I believe I used the word hot, emphasizes John. Marlena reminds him that they are still married. She refers to his date with Nicole as completely inappropriate, but John disagrees. He notes that jealousy becomes her and finds it very sexy. Marlena denies being jealous and affirms that shes upset because hes not acting like her husband. John implies that if he wants her to act like her husband, perhaps she should act like his wife. What does that mean? asks Marlena. Wives sleep with their husbands, clarifies John. She assumes that his date with Nicole is about sex. John claims he never wouldve invited her over if he had something better to do. She insists that shes acting like his wife and asks him not to do this. As the doorbell rings, John admits that he was toying with her and his date with Nicole is strictly business. Marlena is relieved to hear this and assumes he wouldnt mind if she joined them, but John turns her down. Rolf brings Nicole into the living room, where John helps her with her coat. Nicole models a sexy leopard dress, which makes Marlena turn green.
John later pours Nicole more champagne, who admits that shes glad Marlena didnt join them since she doesnt like to share. Nicole begins to discuss Marlena, but John isnt interested in that topic right now. Marlena comes downstairs and overhears John tell Nicole how good they could be together. She encounters Rolf and demands for him to reverse her husbands memory loss. Rolf claims its not possible. Marlena refers to Rolf as arrogant and vows to bring her husband back.
As John strokes Nicoles hair, she coyly imply how shes been known to fall in lust at the slightest bit of encouragement. John proposes flying to Napa and Paris for a week-long vacation. Nicole uncomfortably agrees, but hopes their trip wont interfere with his business. She then brings up the war he has with Victor over controlling the docks. John confronts her about coming there to spy on him. He ridicules her about using her tasteless dress and painfully embarrassing come-ons to get him to open up about his private affairs. Nicole denies knowing what hes talking about. John demands to know who shes working for. Is it Victor or little Philip? he questions as Marlena eavesdrops from the foyer. Nicole caustically questions if hes having a paranoia side effect of memory loss. Who sent you? he questions. No-one, she replies. John brings up how Victor doesnt trust her after the way she tried to have him killed. A smug Marlena refers to Nicole as a spy and notes that shes not very convincing. John makes a crack about how Nicole would have better luck trying to convince him that shes a virgin. Nicole storms out humiliated. John tells Blondie how impressive she was. She returns the compliment and believes he handled Nicole beautifully.
John later pours wine for Marlena and implores her to admit that she was jealous. Youre my husband, John. I wont share you, states Marlena. John speculates that shes beginning to accept him and announces that tonight Philip made a pathetic attempt to infiltrate his organization. He realizes that Victor and Philip fought back against him and vows to put an end to it.
