Kate asks Nicole what she’s doing there. Nicole happily announces that she’s back and couldn’t stay away. Chelsea and Daniel leave the table. “Get out or I’ll have you thrown out!” demands Victor. “You would do something like that to your own wife?” retorts Nicole. “Wife? What the hell are you talking about?” questions a grumpy Victor. Nicole rehashes the “lovely” wedding ceremony New Year’s Eve and quips how she thinks someone ended up dead. Victor brings up Colin Murphy and still believes that she killed him or at least tried to. Nicole gloats how she doesn’t recall signing any divorce papers. Victor warns her that she’s playing with fire. “That’s okay, I’ve always loved hot things,” responds the sexy temptress. She turns around and introduces herself to Daniel, then smiles at her “darling step-granddaughter.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea brings Daniel up to speed on who Nicole is. Nicole waltzes over to Philip and gets chummy with him. Daniel notes that she seems like a real charmer. Chelsea fills Daniel in on how Nicole’s favorite pastime is marrying men for money. Daniel notes that at least she’s good at what she does.

Nicole is enjoying pushing Victor's buttons and quips how she’s glad she didn’t succeed in killing him. She claims she needs a place to stay. “And there’s no place like the cozy casa Kiriakis,” she jests. Victor asks Nicole how much she wants and offers to get his checkbook. She coyly claims that she just wanted to come back to her home in Salem. He orders her to step outside and discuss the matter in private. “Can’t believe the tramp is back,” says Kate. An appalled Philip rehashes how she tried to kill Victor. Daniel notes how hot Nicole is. Kate advises him to stay as far away from Nicole as he possibly can.

Chloe affirms that she can never forgive Nicole for trying to keep her away from Brady. “Victor cannot let her move in here,” insists Chloe. Philip predicts that Victor won’t have a whole lot of choice in the matter and asks Chloe how she will feel if they get another roommate. “Like, I need to find a new place to live,” affirms an irritated Chloe. “That makes two of us,” agrees Philip.

Daniel notes that Nicole’s a real firecracker and surmises that it must run in the family as he glances at Chelsea. Chelsea thanks him for the compliment if he’s referring to her, but he could’ve skipped the comparison. She rehashes how Nicole actually tried to kill Victor. Kate predicts it would’ve happened if the DiMeras didn’t have other plans. Chelsea questions if Nicole was married to Uncle Lucas at some point. Kate confirms this and admits that she played a part in that one. She attests that everything she’s done has been for her children and grandchildren. Kate then notices that Chelsea’s looking tired and thinks she’s had enough excitement. Chelsea relents, but wants a report from everyone.

In Chelsea’s room, Kate notes how there’s a certain twinkle in Chelsea’s eye every time Daniel’s around. Chelsea admits that she’s glad Daniel came tonight, as she likes having the distraction around since she’s still worried about her dad. Kate offers to take Chelsea to see Bo tomorrow, assuring her that she always has time for her granddaughter. They change the topic back to Nicole as Kate laughs how the look on Victor’s face was priceless. Kate predicts that Nicole will make Victor’s life a living hell.

Chelsea and Kate later discuss her studies at school. Daniel enters and apologizes for intruding. Kate says good-night to Chelsea and tells Daniel to take good care of their girl. Chelsea wonders if this is an official visit. Daniel just wants to make sure she’s doing okay. Chelsea has no complaints, other than getting tired easily. Daniel wants her to have regular check-ups at the hospital with him, at least until she’s sick of seeing him. Chelsea of course is more than willing and asks how her dad is. Daniel says he’s doing good, thanks to her. He says good-night, leaving Chelsea with stars in her eyes.

Elsewhere, Victor asks Nicole what the hell she’s thinking. Nicole innocently claims she needs a place to stay. Victor assumes that she’s broke. “Who are you kidding? My husband is a very rich man,” gloats Nicole. Victor rehashes how she tried to kill him. Thus, there’s not a judge in the world who will give her a red cent. Nicole reveals that she talked to a very knowledgeable attorney who believes she’ll be due a sweet settlement. “And how many times did you have to sleep with him before he told you that?” questions Victor. Nicole tries to slap him, but Victor stops her. She reminds him that they are still married. “It doesn’t mean I have to put you up and pay your liquor bills,” asserts Victor. Nicole continues to sip her cocktail and refuses to go anywhere. Victor states his intentions to have his attorneys look into the matter the first thing tomorrow. As she goes upstairs, Victor glares at her with a look that could kill.

Daniel, Philip, and Chloe later sit back down at the dinner table, where Phil and Chloe tell the doctor that Nicole’s the one who “killed” Victor. Philip notes how surprising it is when someone comes back from the dead. “I bet even more surprising for Nicole,” says Daniel, which makes Philip chuckle. Chloe continues to sip her wine as she informs Daniel that Nicole made a lot of enemies in Salem. Daniel needs to get going and shakes hands with Philip, asking him to thank Victor for his hospitality. Philip thanks Daniel for saving his brother’s life.

Victor and Nicole join Kate, Philip, and Chloe in the dining room, where Victor announces that Nicole will be staying with them at least until his attorneys can have her removed from the property. Philip and Chloe are outraged. Nicole quips how she was hoping that she and Chloe could be best girlfriends. “If only you knew the meaning of the word,” retorts Kate. “It’s such a relief to see that some things in Salem haven’t changed, like bitter, angry Kate,” declares Nicole after Kate walks out, “You may have won this round, but the battle is far from over,” vows Victor. Nicole states her intentions to win the war and take home all the spoils.
