Hope comes to the mansion looking for Stefano. Hope warns Nicole that the DiMeras will destroy her. Rafe and Sami nearly make love, but are interrupted by E.J. Sami insists that she's not in love with E.J. Chloe pleads with Brady not to be like Victor. While making love to Nicole, E.J. sees Sami. Will and Mia encounter a friend of his named Tad, who seems to know Mia.

Philip has a nightmare about the shooting. Stefano is diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Stefano makes plans to leave town. Rafe and Sami share a passionate kiss and head back to her place. A mysterious man follows Stefano at the airport. Max tells Chelsea that he applied to medical school in Chicago. Chelsea agrees to come to Chicago with Max if he gets accepted there.

Kate allows Daniel to perform an experimental treatment on Philip. Kate swears to forego her revenge plan against Chloe if Philip survives. Daniel has good news in regards to Philip. Victor plots his revenge. Stefano feels ill.

Stephanie begs Philip to come back to her and he soon flatlines. Sami interrupts the wedding. Sami accuses E.J. of being behind Philip's shooting. E.J. and Nicole are finally pronounced husband and wife.

Philip is summoned to a hotel for a meeting. Brady and Melanie kiss. Melanie realizes that Brady is in love with Nicole. Sami tells Lucas the truth about Grace and intends to tell E.J. as well.
