Biography of Martha Madison:

Martha began acting at the tender age of six at the Actor’s Theatre of Houston. As a child, each summer she would choose to take theatre classes rather than head off to camp with her friends. She has been very involved in dance most of her life, another one of her passions. She always had a goal in life, which was to always be on her favorite show “Days of Our Lives.” Lo and behold, she finally made her dream a reality and has made the role her own ever since.

In August 2005, Martha became a Celebrity Ambassador for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Her mother was diagnosed with the disease when Martha was only six years old. Thus, Martha became actively involved in helping to raise awareness of this disease. It's a cause that's always been very close to her heart.

In 2006, Martha became engaged to restaurant owner AJ Gilbert. On August 25, 2007 she married him at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California. The majority of the DAYS cast was in attendance for this lavish ceremony including, but not limited to Brandon Beemer (Shawn), Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe), Alison Sweeney (Sami), Kristian Alfonso (Hope), Farah Fath (ex-Mimi), Deidre Hall (Marlena), Drake Hogestyn (John), Darin Brooks (Max), Bryan Dattilo (Lucas), Rachel Melvin (Chelsea), Annie Burgstede (ex-Willow), Renee Jones (Lexie), and Kyle Brandt (ex-Philip).

In January 2008, Martha and former DAYS co-star Brandon Beemer (ex-Shawn) received the shock on their lives when they were suddenly let go from the show. Many fans were sad and outraged, as they felt the characters of Shawn and Belle were such an integral part of the show. Thus, a "Save Shelle" campaign was started across the Internet, and Brandon and Martha realized how many loyal supporters they had. The talented actors were let go because of storyline dictated reasons, and Shawn and Belle set sail around the world with their daughter Claire. Martha's last airdate on the show was Monday, March 24, 2008. It wouldn't be surprising if another show snatched up this Emmy-worthy actress in the near future.
