The Odd Man Out

By Gwen Morett, About.com

In the sorority house, Chelsea shows the girls photos which she and Nick took in Ford’s room. Chelsea insists they need to go after Ford themselves, since the police can’t use the photos as evidence. She states it will be just them against Ford and it’s up to them to take the creep down. “It is time to make Ford the victim for a change,” she declares. Sloan refuses, fearing they could be subjected to expulsion. Chelsea is in disbelief and implores them to look at what they’ve done as a house and how they’ve helped others. She proposes that one of them act as bait by pretending to be drunk while they spike Ford’s drink. Carmen suggests they can then tear off his shirt and write “Rapist” across his chest. “And we can then post his picture online,” adds Sloan. Cordy claims she can’t join in on the plan, but Chelsea tries to persuade her otherwise and promises Cordy that they’ll only scare Ford. Cordy reluctantly agrees to join in on the plan. Chelsea hugs her, then reiterates her promise not to hurt Ford, but only to teach him a lesson which will make him think twice and hopefully stop him altogether. The girls put their hands together and agree to join forces.

Chelsea and Morgan then approach Sloan and demur how Ford raped two girls from the sorority house and question if she was one of his victims. Sloan swears it wasn’t her. Chelsea then suggests that Sloan be their decoy, since Ford’s always had a thing for her. Morgan offers to do it, but Chelsea refuses to allow her to do so after the way she talked trash about him at the dean’s office. Chelsea and Morgan proceed to ask Emily, but Sloan agrees to be the bait as long as she’s not left alone with Ford.

Stephanie and Max are cleaning up after another night at the Cheatin’ Heart. Steph proudly displays the huge tip she received from someone of the opposite sex. Max proposes to Adrienne that they recruit some ladies in the place. Adrienne rants about her son having a test to study for, but she can’t help him since she needs to close the place. Max offers to help out and invites Stephanie to stay. Steph obliges, which thrills Adrienne to pieces. Max then apologizes for talking Stephanie into staying, but she’s happy to help out. She scrapes gum off the table as an impressed Max notes that most girls wouldn’t go near that. “Most girls meaning Morgan?” assumes Stephanie. Steph implores Max to admit that Morgan’s high maintenance. He admits that it’s actually nice to have a night off from Ms. Hollingsworth.

After they complete their task, Max proposes they have a soda to celebrate. Stephanie remarks how nice it was for Max to help Adrienne out tonight and suggests they do it again sometime. Max admits they make a he!! of a team, then brings up Jeremy’s name. He quickly apologizes for mentioning Jeremy. Stephanie claims he’s out of the picture and doesn’t know what she ever saw in him. Max refers to Steph as a good girl who goes after the bad boys. They crack jokes about goody-two shoes Morgan before Steph questions if Max really meant that it was nice to have a break from her. He describes Morgan as smart, fun, good-looking, but he and Morgan come from two different worlds. He brings up their first date at the pub, where it was Morgan’s first time having chili fries. He surmises that they don’t have anything in common. “She plays tennis and croquet and I don’t even know how to spell ‘croquet,’” remarks Max. He continues to make comparisons between him and Morgan and asks Steph not to tell Morgan that they’re joking about her, since he likes Morgan and doesn’t want to hurt her feelings. “Your secret’s safe with me,” Steph assures him. Stephanie and Max nearly kiss until the jukebox music comes on. She pulls away from him and has a brief disturbing memory of being raped by Ford, then claims she got shocked from Max’s hand. She comes back over to Max and slowly extends her hand. They share a slow dance together. Stephanie wonders what Morgan would think if she were to walk in right now. He predicts that Morgan would know that he’s not the guy for her. Steph refers to Max as smart, ambitious, genuine, and a really good dancer. He playfully dips her before they are interrupted by Chelsea knocking at the door. Chelsea insists that Steph is needed back at the house, since the girls have developed a plan against Ford Decker. Stephanie reluctantly agrees to leave with a persistent Chelsea, which obviously disappoints Max.

In his room, Ford has two glasses and checks himself out in the mirror before a blond girl enters his room. Ford laces the girl’s drink with his drug while she waits on the couch. She unfortunately has no idea what’s in store as she takes a drink. He later makes out with the girl on his bed when she tells him to stop. Ford doesn’t listen as the girl cries no.

After the deed is done, he warns the distraught girl to keep their incident between them. He leans into her ear and tells her how great she was tonight. The traumatized girl walks out in tears. She is later seen walking through the woods sobbing.

Chelsea later brings Stephanie back to the house and announces that Steph is in on their plan. She implores the girls to be totally quiet as Sloan calls Ford. Sloan uses her feminine wiles on him and implies how lonely it is at the house. Ford questions if her sisters are out posting flyers. “For the record, what they did was totally unfair,” she claims. Ford appears convinced that she’s on his side and agrees to free his schedule and come over. Chelsea urges the girls to set their plan into motion.

Sami emerges from her bedroom wearing a sexy black outfit while Lucas hunts for a bottle under the couch. He is blown away by her dress. She asks him if he likes it. “Well yeah. The only thing missing is a pole,” he replies, which elicits laughter from Sami. He tells her how hot she looks, then kisses her and wonders if they should be doing this, noting that it will be the first time since the babies. “Oh, I am ready to rock your world,” she beams before they get hot and heavy.
