After Daniel leaves the room, Lucas remarks how weird Daniel is. Chloe tries to cover by claiming that Daniel didn’t want to waste time taking pictures and wanted to get back to work. Kate is dubious. Chloe claims that Daniel’s like her, in that he just doesn’t like having his picture taken. She agrees to give Lucas and Kate time alone and leaves the room.
Daniel calls Philip at Titan and gives him the good news that Kate will be able to come home for Christmas. Philip thanks Daniel for everything he’s done.
Meanwhile, Lucas notes how weird Chloe is acting too and wonders if there’s something going on. Kate concludes that Daniel and Chloe don’t like each other. Outside the room, Chloe runs into Daniel. They exchange longing glances before they are interrupted by a nurse with a surgery schedule for Daniel, but he displays his bandaged finger. Chloe apologizes for his current dilemma. He reminds her that she already apologized and his finger is on the mend. A hot and bothered Daniel wishes her a Merry Christmas before walking off.
Back at Titan
Steph approaches Brady and reveals that she’s an intern there. Brady wonders if Philip’s driving her crazy yet. Steph says Phil’s not the problem, so Brady wonders who is.
After Philip hangs up with Daniel, he gives Brady and Steph the good news about Kate coming home for Christmas. Steph hugs him and expresses how great it is. Philip proceeds to tell his dad. Brady questions what the deal is between Steph and Philip. Steph claims they’re just friends.
Meanwhile, Philip shares the good news with Victor, who in turn reveals that Brady accepted his offer as the new Vice CEO of Titan. Victor wants Philip to make the announcement right there, right now. Philip berates Victor for not telling him sooner and for pulling his chain. Victor states his belief that he needs someone on the team to help Philip make decisions when he gets emotionally involved. Melanie arrives back at the party as Philip remarks how Brady got out of rehab in the nick of time. Philip tells Victor to make the announcement, then walks off. Brady asks Victor what’s with Philip. Victor states that Philip’s been temperamental lately, so Brady assumes that Victor didn’t tell Philip the news. Victor claims that the change is nothing, but Brady wouldn’t bet on it and leaves.
On the Pier
Chelsea is with Lexie and Theo and remarks how Theo loves the little toy dog from Max. Theo then squeezes her hand and Chelsea offers to take him home, but Lexie smiles in anticipation about the two of them watching ships go by.
Lexie and Theo later stand by the pier and she sings “I Saw Three Ships” and embraces him, professing to love him. “I love you,” he responds. Lexie is overwhelmed with joy to hear those words from her son.
Bo and Hope’s House
Bo is daunted by his disturbing vision of a child brought in unconscious to the hospital. He tries to wrap a present but tosses it aside in frustration. Hope sits next to him and deduces that he had another one of those images, which Bo confirms. He can’t help but shake the feeling that there’s a kid in trouble, but there’s nothing he can do about it. He expresses how he feels as though he has a screw loose and is going crazy. Hope tries to assure him that he’s not, believing she knows why this is happening to him. She expresses how she keeps thinking about Zack and grieving for him. Bo comforts her. She knows Bo is going through the same thing and realizes how hard this time of year is. They embrace each other intent on going through this difficult ordeal together.
Hope later hands Bo a paper ornament made by Zack, which contains his photo. She doesn’t want to hurt Chelsea, but believes it’s time they stop hiding from what happened. Bo assures her that Zack will be part of all their Christmases. He hangs Zack’s ornament on the tree and Hope begins to cry and thanks him. They are interrupted by the smoke alarm, so they head into the kitchen to check it out.
Chelsea arrives home with her shopping bags, then drops them upon seeing Zack’s picture. She begins to run out, feeling guilty for what happened with Zack years ago. Bo encourages her not to go. She believes that deep down inside, Bo must hate her for what happened. Bo wraps his arms around Chelsea and affirms that he doesn’t hate her. Chelsea cries how every time she sees that ornament of Zack, it makes her heart hurt. Bo assures her that they decided that Zack would be part of their Christmas. “But it’s my fault! It’s my fault that he’s not here!” laments Chelsea.
Hope emerges and assures Chelsea that she didn’t put the ornament there to hurt her. She insists that this year they are going to celebrate Zack’s life and not grieve his death, but they can’t do it without Chelsea. Hope reminds a remorseful Chelsea that her dad wouldn’t even be here if it wasn’t for her and insists that it won’t be Christmas there without her. Bo reiterates that what happened to Zack was an accident which nobody blames her for. He assures her that they love her and they need her to forgive herself. Chelsea walks over to the Christmas tree and takes Zack’s ornament off the tree, expressing how she really did love him. She agrees to be at home with them during Christmas. “Merry Christmas Chelsea,” smiles Hope. Bo embraces his daughter and wishes her a Merry Christmas.
Chelsea sits down with Bo and fills him in on how Max gave his toy dog Charlie to Theo. She notices how disturbed her dad seems and asks if he’s okay. She later checks her messages and receives one from Daniel, who says that Kate can come home for Christmas. She shares the good news with Bo and Hope.
Back on the pier, Lexie later suggests to Theo that they go home and have some hot chocolate. Meanwhile, as Bo hangs Zack’s stocking, he has the same disturbing vision of a kid brought to the hospital unconscious. At the same time, Lexie sees that Theo is running off from her and yells at him to come back. Bo sees a vision of Lexie crying for Theo, then is horrified to realize that his visions are indeed about Theo.
