Max and Stephanie continue to travel on the train to Marseille. An apprehensive Max feels as though theyre never going to get there. He attempts to asks the conductor in French how far they are from Marseille. The conductor tells him in French that theyre an hour and a half away, but theres been a slight delay.
Steph later comes back into the sleeper car and informs Max that theyre thirty miles from Marseille. Max loves the fact that she speaks French. He suggests they go over the plan on how theyre going to find his sister while theyre waiting. Steph recalls how her dad said that all his contact could get was a street name. Max feels as though it will be impossible to find Melanie with a street fifteen miles long.
Steph later gets off the phone with an old guy friend who mentioned an exclusive girls boarding school just a few kilometers outside of town. They surmise that Melanie could be a student there. If they could just get the train going, they could get there.
Max later attempts to get information on his sister at the boarding school, but the school wont disclose anything. Steph jokes how hes such a guy and refers to guys in general as obvious and awkward, but women are clever and resourceful. She speaks French on the phone, finding out that Melanie does indeed attend school there. Max refers to her as a genius and kisses her.
Daniel leads Chelsea up to the rooftop of the apartment building with his hand over her eyes. She opens her eyes and is mesmerized by the view. She approves and kisses him. He puts his arms around her and wonders if the super would let him sleep up there from time to time. She kisses him again, then asks if he signed the sublet lease agreement. Daniel confirms that he has. Chelsea playfully asks him why he decided to stay in Salem. He admits its because of her, which makes Chelsea smile.
They later snuggle in a chair, where Chelsea believes that Bos starting to accept their relationship. Daniel wouldnt go that far, briefly sharing how he talked to Bo about Victor. Chelsea wants to find out whats going on between her dad and grandpa, but Daniel doesnt think its a good idea and suggests she just stay out of it.
Daniel later states his intentions to stay in Salem. Chelsea eagerly wonders if they should head back downstairs, but Daniel turns some music on and asks her to dance. They share a romantic dance under the stars to a beautiful song.
Marlena comes to see Roman at his office. He informs her that he hasnt heard from the ISA regarding the disk, but assures her that hell call as soon as he hears from them. She reveals that the D.A. contacted her and she meant to turn over her notes regarding her session with Ava. She shows him a letter which states that Ava came to talk to her, but shes ethically unable to reveal the contents of the conversation. Roman reminds her that shes one of their consulting psychiatrists. Marlena knows this, but affirms that Ava came to her and wasnt sent by the courts, so she feels that what Ava said to her should be held in confidence. Roman warns her that the D.A. might subpoena her. He brings up how he needs to talk to Steve and Kayla about testifying at Avas trial. Marlena needs to talk to them, since there was a bad misunderstanding about Sami subletting her apartment to Ava. Roman is stunned to hear this, since Samis apartment is right across the hall from Steve and Kayla. Marlena reveals that John put Sami up to it.
At the police station, Bo opens the door to Morgan after his argument with Philip. Morgan questions whats going on with the two of them. Bo claims its private. Morgan assumes its about their father and asks how hes doing. Philip says hes still stable, then walks out of Bos office and asks Morgan if shes okay. Morgan worries about the cops never finding her father. Philip embraces her, which Bo sees. Morgan whines how the cops keep acting as if she knows more than shes letting on. Philip offers to take her back to the sorority house, but she doesnt want to be alone right now. Philip invites her to come home with him.
After Phil and Morgan walk out together, Marlena emerges from Romans office. She sees Bos frustration and asks him if hes alright. Bo claims hes fine, but the case hes working on is pretty frustrating. She sees Philip and assumes its the Paul Hollingsworth case, which he confirms. She assures him that shes available if he needs to talk about it, and whatever he says to her will be in strict confidence. He states that if he needs to talk, it will have to be with someone else. She offers to recommend someone, but he declines.
Steve watches the news at home, then turns it off and lies down on the sofa reading Daddy, Dont Drop Me. Kayla emerges from the bedroom and sits down next to him. He asks how Joe is. Kayla says hes sleeping and it should be a couple more hours until his next feeding. Steve apologizes again for the Ava mess. Kayla knows how unstable Ava was, but states how she maliciously set out to have the plane tampered with which resulted in the deaths of three people. The sooner shes behind bars the better, she says.
Steve suggests giving Steph a call later to see how she and Max are doing. He admits he wishes Steph hadnt left. Kayla tries to assure him how grateful Max will be that Stephs there for him. Steve then opens the door to Roman and Marlena.
Steve and Kayla later agree to testify at Avas trial. Roman warns them that Avas lawyer is going to use the drug dependency as a cornerstone for her defense. Marlena approaches Kayla and asks if shes alright. Kayla reveals that she and Steve just had a fight about Ava. She expresses how shes tried to have sympathy for Ava, but admits how she cant wait until Avas out of their lives for good. Marlena predicts that its only a matter of time before Ava hurts someone else. Kayla states that this is the last thing which she and Steve need now. Marlena shares how she saw Bo earlier and he seemed stressed. Kayla asks if she talked to Roman about it, but Marlena says no and expresses concern for him. Kayla offers to find out whats up with Bo.
