Ava later kisses John's chest after theyve done the deed. If you keep it up, youre just gonna have to thank me again, he murmurs. He kisses her, then stops. She asks him whats wrong, but he says nothing. She agrees not to push. John brings up how Morgan lost control and believes if she had a weapon she wouldve tried to kill him. If she could do that without knowing anything, think what she would do if she knew what really happened to her father, he muses.
Hope brings Morgan down to the station, where Morgan blames herself for Philips shooting. Hope tells her it was a mistake to confront John. Morgan whines how she had to do something, since she needs to know where her father is. Hope theorizes that Pauls jacket couldve been planted by anyone who would want them to think hes dead. Morgan continues to point the finger at John and admits that she wishes she had a gun, because she wouldve killed John herself. Bo tells her she doesnt mean it. Oh, the hell I dont! refutes Morgan. Bo warns her not to say anything else. He flashes back to finding the recording and listening to Philips threat.
Hope tells Morgan that theres no proof Johns responsible for Pauls disappearance. Morgan recalls how her father would tell her stories of guys he would meet at customs, and the strange things they would try and smuggle in. Hope wonders if he ever mentioned anyone more than once. Morgan hesitates and recalls how there was one guy Paul kept telling her to stay away from: Philip.

Daniel emerges and states that Philips in recovery, but the shell ruptured his abdominal aorta and he lost a lot of blood. Kate asks if they gave Philip a transfusion. Daniel says they cant, since Philips blood type is relatively rare and the blood bank is out of the type. Kate offers to donate, but Daniel informs her that shes not a match and Victors too weak. Daniel tries to assure her that they will find a blood donor for Philip. He asks Chelsea to get Kate some water. After Chelsea walks off, Daniel hugs a despondent Kate.
Back at the station, Bo gets off the phone and informs Hope and Morgan that Philip is weak and in recovery, but the prognosis is good. Morgan is relieved and insists that he needs to see him. Bo declares that no-one can see him until hes been taken to a room. Hope asks Morgan if her father ever gave her any specific reason why he wanted her to stay away from Philip. Morgan recalls how her father didnt trust him and didnt want her around someone like that. She asserts that Philips a good man, rehashing how he almost died taking a bullet for her. Morgan surmises that Paul was down on Philip because John Black wanted him to be. She requests to give her statement and go, then phones Chelsea and asks her to pick her up at the station. Chelsea isnt so sure Kates going to want Morgan at the hospital, but Morgan doesnt care. She then declares that shes ready to make her statement. Hope takes her into the other room and tells her to write down everything she remembers.
Hope goes back into Bos office and presses Bo for answers, threatening to go to Abe and tell him that Bos withholding information. Youre not going to Abe and telling him anything, he declares. Hope assumes that hes admitting to something he knows. Bo claims he wants the case solved as much as anyone and has told her everything he can, but she wont accept it.
Kate looks in on Victor and flashes back to destroying the tape. She then expresses to Daniel how shed like to go in and sit with Victor. Daniel reminds her that he cant have visitors. Kate pleads her case and Daniel relents. She goes inside and cries how Philip got involved in the shipping business and with Paul Hollingsworth. Victors monitors began beeping rapidly as he wakes up. Kate reveals that Philip was trying to protect Pauls daughter and one of Avas men shot him. She rushes out of his room calling for help when Victor flatlines. Daniel orders Kate out as he and a nurse try to revive him.
Daniel soon comes out of Victors room after reviving him and asks what happened. A distressed Kate says she was talking to him and his monitors went crazy. Daniel berates himself for letting her in Victors room. He tells her not to even ask her to go in unless he gives the okay. Kate asks about Philip. Daniel reveals that a donor from the city hospital will be there shortly. He vows to not lose either Victor or Philip.
Daniel comes out of Victors room and tells Bo no way before Bo has a chance to speak. Bo insists that he needs to see Victor, but Daniel refuses to allow any more visitors. Bo says they wont let him see Philip either. Not until hes been transfused and brought up from recovery, mutters Daniel. Bo questions why he wasnt given blood during the operation. An agitated Daniel says it was due to an uncommon blood type, and Bos not a match and neither is anyone else in the family. Bo insists that he needs to talk to Philip as soon as he can.
Meanwhile, Kate blames John for the ordeal, since hes been wreaking havoc onto Philips life and Victors business. Chelsea asks how Victors doing. Daniel informs her that Victors last episode set him back quite a bit, and Philips wound did some extensive damage. Kate insists on staying there until she knows that both men are alright. Hope arrives and Bo gives her the scoop on Victor and Philip. She apologizes for pushing too hard earlier and assures him that shes on his side.
Bo later stands outside Philips room and flashes back to Philip visiting him in the hospital when he was ill. He enters Philips room and apologizes for not believing him and for being so rough on him. He urges Philip to hang in there and get his strength back. Ill take care of this, he assures. Morgan then arrives and Bo leaves. She sits by Philip and tearfully thanks him for saving her life, offering to make it up to him. You saved my life Philip, and I love you for that, she professes.
