Morgan and Chelsea are working out at the Salem Health Club, where Chelsea shows her a picture in a magazine and jokes how the models are airbrushed. An attractive patron approaches Chelsea and asks if she’s done with the magazine. Chelsea hands it to her and the patron walks off. She comments how much lipstick the woman was wearing. Morgan then approaches Miss USA Crystle Stewart, who recognizes the gals. She introduces Crystle as their Alpha Chi Theta National Chapter Advisor who is organizing the Breast Cancer Awareness Walk-a-thon. Morgan and Chelsea declare that they will be there. Crystle admits how glad she is that everything worked out for the sisters, especially after the trouble they went through last year.
Morgan invites Chelsea to head downtown to the art festival, admitting she could use a distraction. Chelsea can’t, since she has a date tonight with Daniel. Morgan notes how excited Chelsea seems. She inquires if Chelsea would actually ‘you know’ on the first date. “Daniel’s too much of a gentleman, but uh, a girl can dream, right?” smiles Chelsea. Morgan wonders if Chelsea’s jumping into things too quickly, since he blew her off a couple of weeks ago. A defensive Chelsea wonders why Morgan just can’t be happy for her.
Morgan rejoins Chelsea in the juice bar and explains that she doesn’t want to see Chelsea get hurt. Chelsea believes that Daniel’s completely trustworthy. She reveals that Daniel asked her out in front of Victor, who was okay with it. Morgan points out that Daniel’s a lot older than she is. An annoyed Chelsea refers to it as no big deal, remarking how girls mature faster than guys. Morgan is about to say that Dr. Jonas is old enough to be her father, but Chelsea tells her to stop. Chelsea throws her hypothetical question about Johnny Depp and wonders if Morgan would say no to a date because of the age. Morgan tells her she’s being ridiculous, but Chelsea believes otherwise and is determined to have a good time. Chelsea teases Steph about wearing lipstick at the gym when she arrives. Morgan asks a glum Steph what’s the matter. Steph complains how Max keeps holding in a big secret inside. Chelsea’s phone then rings, but is hesitant to answer it since Steph’s in crisis mode. Steph urges her to answer it anyway, but it goes to voicemail. Steph calls him back on Chelsea’s phone. Daniel tells Chelsea about their upcoming reservations at Chez Rouge. Chelsea shares the news with the girls and asks Steph to talk some sense into Morgan, who doesn’t approve.
The girls are working out when Steph asks Chelsea what Bo said about her date with Daniel. “Um, I did not,” answers Chelsea, who is convinced she would get a lecture about dating guys her own age. Steph believes her dad would freak out as well, then asks Morgan what her dad would think. A glum Morgan mutters how she doesn’t know, as it turns out she didn’t know her dad at all. Morgan reveals that her dad left Salem last night and believes he’ll be back once he realizes he made a mistake.
Philip arrives at the gym and encounters Daniel, who shares how a recovering Kate had enough energy to bite his head off. Phil apologizes, stating that he doesn’t know what it’s all about. “There’s nothing more complicated than the female species,” declares Daniel. Philip wonders why they need women, besides the obvious. Daniel rambles about how finding the right woman is scary. He inquires how one knows if it’s the real deal. Philip flashes back to kissing Morgan on the pier. He states that relationships can be a lot more trouble than they’re worth. Daniel eyes an attractive woman when she walks by. Philip encourages him to go for it, but Daniel implies that he has a crazy thing for a woman whom he keeps pushing away due to an age difference. Daniel explains how caution has never been his strong suit. Phil assumes the woman is Chelsea and thinks it’s great. Daniel predicts that Kate will go through the roof when she finds out about their date tonight. Philip isn’t surprised, stating how Belle’s the only girl his mom’s ever approved of. Daniel asks about the woman whom Phil’s seeing now. Philip says he needs to figure out what he wants before he lets his mother interfere.
Back outside the pub, Trent invites Nicole out to dinner just as Chelsea, Stephanie, and Morgan arrive. Trent says hello to Stephanie before the girls go inside. Chelsea asks Stephanie why she was so rude to Dean Robbins. Steph says she has her reasons, then asks the same redundant question? “Have you guys seen Max?” Morgan experiences cramps, so Steph offers her a Midol for that special time of the month. She is less than thrilled to see “that harlet Chloe” and has a headache now as well. Steph assures her that the Midol will make the headache disappear too. She approaches Caroline and questions if Max talked to her, but no such luck.
Max comes downstairs and encounters Steph, who continues to pressure him into telling Caroline about Trent. He finally reveals to Caroline that he found out who his biological father is. Caroline hugs Max and thanks him for telling her.
Chloe approaches Morgan and offers to buy her a cup of coffee, but Morgan’s not in the mood. Morgan rolls her eyes as Chloe shares how Philip has this pattern in which he finds a young girl and uses her to boost his ego. “Philip is not like that,” retorts Morgan. Chloe reveals how she’s known the guy since high school, and believes that Morgan’s relationship with him is nothing more than a casual flirtation. She advises Morgan to stay away from him. Morgan surmises that Chloe feels threatened by her, then saunters off.
John and Marlena return to the mansion, where Marlena looks for her appointment book. John points it out to her. Marlena suggests they finish their conversation from earlier. “You don’t wanna be the ‘old’ John, and I’m not sure I can accept the ‘new’ John,” she says. She believes if they don’t come to a resolution soon, they should file for divorce. He assumes that he’s giving her permission to see other women such as Ava, which she confirms. “And you’re doing this because?” he questions. “Because I love you so much,” she professes.
