A Compatible Donor is Found

By , About.com Guide

Hope continues to lay beside Bo in his hospital room. She begs him to hold on and prays that God won’t take him from her. A weak Bo wakes up just before Shawn and Belle enter. Shawn embraces his dad and tries to assure him that he’ll make it. Belle kisses Bo, who asks her to take care of Shawn. “He loves you an awful lot,” adds Bo. “I’m gonna be there for him and so will you,” smiles Belle. Hope chimes that Bo will be around for a lot of things marked on the calendar.

Ava stares at the photo of Steve and Hope when her goon Eddie enters the room. He sees the photo and doesn’t think it’s Patch’s wife, but Ava believes otherwise. Eddie reveals that he and George checked it out. “Well you and George wouldn’t know two people in love if it bit you on the butt!” exclaims Ava, who points out the body language between Steve and “Kayla” (Hope). She recalls how Patch used to hold her like that and vows that he’ll hold her like that again.

Eddie later re-enters Ava’s room and reveals that he did a little research on the web and discovered that the woman in the photo is not Kayla. “So if the web said that I was the Princess of Borneo, you’d believe it?” she retorts. Ava still insists that “Kayla” (Hope) is the woman Patch married. “The blond one, that’s the one you want,” states Eddie. Ava fumes how he was supposed to disable the plane so that it didn’t take off, not disable it so it would crash. Eddie suggests that maybe the pilots didn’t check the plane good enough. Ava accuses him of not doing the job right and insists that all she wanted to do was to have a chance to talk to Patch alone, when he was calm and composed. She states how Patch has a temper and doesn’t like to be forced into anything. The nutty woman insists that she needs to get Patch away from his wife so she can set the mode and sweet talk him. Ava refuses to believe that anyone else is Patch’s wife and refers to Eddie as an idiot for causing the plane to crash. “He could’ve died before I ever got to talk to him!” exclaims Ava. Eddie refuses to take any more of Ava’s harsh treatment. Ava reminds him that he works for her, but he clarifies that he works for her father. Eddie admits he’s been going behind her father’s back because he cares about her and thinks of her as family. Ava refers to him as incompetent. Eddie insists that he wasn’t out to kill Patch, he just wanted to make him pay for breaking her heart. “You nearly did kill him!” yells Ava. Eddie admits that he was feeling sorry for her ever since she got messed up in the head, but not anymore. “I am not messed up in the head! Get out!” she screams.

Ava’s other goon named George enters her room and asks what’s up with Eddie, who walked past him and said he quit. “Maybe he’s having a bad day,” derides Ava. The goon gives orders from her father that she has no computers, no newspapers, or no sneaking up behind him. He soon re-enters, where a nervous Ava apologizes for hurting Eddie’s feelings. “I’m just here to tell you that it’s time for your therapy session,” he announces. “Goody,” responds Ava unenthusiastically.

Ava’s shrink arrives for their session. She mocks how she’d rather talk than listen to him blab on and on about her. He asks how she’s feeling. “I’m absolutely wonderful,” quips Ava. He asks if she’s had any dreams lately, but she claims she doesn’t dream. “Not even when you’re awake?” he questions. The shrink implores her to tell him what happened today. “Why? No-one ever believes me,” responds Ava. The shrink says he believes her. Ava tells Dr. Nausbaum to take his theories about her fantasy world and go straight to hell.

At the Salem Inn Suite, Steve and Kayla relish in the afterglow of their lovemaking. Steve encourages her not to fight him next time she needs a break, as sometimes she needs to step back and catch her breath. “Well if this was meant to catch my breath you didn’t do a very good job,” smiles a giddy Kayla before she kisses him.

Kayla later dresses him in his shirt. On a more serious note, Steve shares his frustration over seeing Bo in his condition and not being able to do anything to help him. “But you are doing something Sweetness,” he points out. Steve is convinced that she’ll save Bo’s life.

Steve enters Bo’s room and asks him how it’s going. Hope jokes how Bo’s a mess and is really stubborn, but won’t give up. Steve says he won’t let Bo give up. Bo requests to talk to Steve for a minute. Belle kisses him good-bye. Shawn hugs his dad, then Hope kisses him. Bo begins to say that if he doesn’t pull through....”If you keep talking that garbage, I will walk out the door!” interjects Steve. This brings a smile to Bo’s face as he recalls how they’ve been through a lot together. Steve assures his friend that he’s there for him. Bo asks him to be there for Hope and refers to her as a strong woman, but this will test her limits. Bo is obviously in a lot of pain as he struggles to tell Steve that there’s a very good chance that he won’t make it through this, as stated by Dr. Jonas. “Well, you know he may be a good doctor, but he doesn’t know you like I do,” counters Steve. Bo refers to Steve as his best friend and asks him to be there for Hope and the kids if he doesn’t make it. He believes Hope will be strong for the family, but she’ll need a shoulder. “Mine, is there for anyone in your family. But I still say you’re jumping the gun. This is not a done deal,” affirms Steve.
