Rolf then discovers the disk which contains all of John’s memories. He briefly flashes back to Stefano showing the disk to John, then asks John what his duties are. “Whatever I want you to do so I don’t throw your sorry butt back in jail,” responds John, who assumes that the “old” John would’ve locked Rolf up and thrown away the key. Rolf admits that he doesn’t miss the “old” John and refers to him as a goody-two shoes. He eyes the disk which contains John’s memories and agrees that being his butler is preferable to being incarcerated. John instructs him to go down in the basement, shut down the lab, and bring him the key. Rolf claims that it’s his life’s work, but John threatens to throw his butt in jail otherwise.

Rolf later brings John the key to the lab. John proceeds to go into the kitchen and again warns Rolf to lose the accent. After John leaves the room, Rolf takes the disk and hides it in a secret compartment behind Stefano’s portrait.

Marlena later arrives at the pub and doesn’t notice Caroline at first, then laughs. Caroline asks about John. Marlena admits that he’s not himself at all. Caroline says she’s learned to concentrate on work during her grief. Marlena insists she needs to see some patients again and even add some new ones. Caroline gets an idea and glances over at Victor. Marlena sits down next to Victor, who’s a million miles away. Victor admits his worry over Bo and rehashes how Isabella died of pancreatic cancer. He doesn’t believe he ever came to terms with Isabella’s death. “We call that closure,” clarifies Marlena. She offers to help him and encourages him to make an appointment with her secretary and try one session with her. She assures him that he never has to come back if the session makes him uncomfortable. Victor thinks it’s a good idea.

Tony startles Anna at her ad agency. She claims she doesn’t have time to be thrown on her desk again or go over to Stefano’s mansion for another pow-wow with John. She then tells him to get out, but is interrupted by her phone. She chats with a potential client, which piques Tony’s interest. He assumes that it was a potential client who wants to meet with her regarding their product line. “How could you know that?’ shrugs Anna. “Cause they asked me first,” smiles Tony. He invites her to walk out and work with him. “Work for you is what you mean, isn’t it?” snarks Anna, who turns him down flat. Tony reminds her how crazy he is about her and vice versa, but she affirms that she wants to succeed on her own terms and in her own way. Tony wishes her good luck, then leaves.

Morgan arrives at Tony’s ad agency for an internship interview. He states how impressed he is with her resume. She thanks him and is impressed with his agency. Tony gives her an overview on the advertising business. She eagerly asks when she starts, but then assumes she’s being a bit presumptuous. Tony thinks it’s great that Morgan’s very clear about what she wants. She offers to cancel her five other interviews scheduled for the day if she can intern there. He agrees on one condition: “That you past this little test that I’m about to give you,” he proposes. He decides to hire Morgan after she recites, “you can always get what you want.” She is ecstatic and he believes he can’t get any better than her.

Stephanie arrives at Anna’s ad agency for an internship interview. Anna spills the truth that she doesn’t have a secretary and discourages Steph from being an intern there. “Why not?” questions Steph. “Because this place is barely surviving,” replies Anna, who admits that her boss is a voice on the speaker phone who doesn’t care about the company. She predicts that her company will go under unless she turns it around. Steph is eager to hear more. Anna confesses that it’s not just business, but it’s personal since Tony doesn’t believe she can do it and she wants to prove that she can. Steph wonders why she cares what Tony thinks. Anna realizes she’s right, in that she should be doing this in order to prove it to herself. Steph asks what she can do to help. Anna appreciates her enthusiasm, but honestly doesn’t believe that anyone can do anything to turn the place around. “Are you sure?” asks Steph. Anna shares a concept in regards to quality goods for discount prices and needs to come up with a new ad campaign. Steph brings up using a celebrity spokesperson, but Anna says it’s way too expensive. Steph then suggests a celebrity look-alike. Anna believes it could work, but still has her insecurities. Steph admits she loves a challenge and is eager to go to work. Anna officially welcomes her aboard.

Morgan later encounters a jaded Chelsea on the pier and thought she’d be at the hospital with Bo. Chelsea reveals that Bo was taken down for more testing so she thought she’d come there and wait. Morgan offers to hang with her. Chelsea asks how her interviews went. Morgan reveals that she got the job she wanted. Chelsea congratulates her. Morgan excuses herself to make a quick call. She cancels her interview with Anna, who claims that she was about to call Morgan and share the news that someone else got the internship. Steph then meets up with the gals and says she got the internship that she wanted. Tony phones Steph and informs her that his internship has been filled. Steph and Morgan share who their internships are with. The gals conclude that Morgan and Steph will be rivals for the same accounts at their respective firms.

Back at Tony’s ad agency, Tony’s chatty assistant Ethan lets Anna in. Ethan tells his boss that he’s free to see whoever he wants to when he wants to, but would appreciate it if Tony runs it by him so they can avoid any conflicts. Ethan talks a mile a minute as he fills Tony in on his future appointments. After Ethan leaves the room, Anna and Tony inform each other that things are going great with their agencies. Tony professes his love for Anna and expresses how he wants her to succeed. He offers her the new product line account if she really wants it. “Tony, I don’t want or need your charity!” she pouts before storming out.
