Lexie encounters an exhausted Daniel in the hospital locker room and asks if hes okay. He reveals that he just spent four and a half hours in surgery and insists he needs to start getting more sleep. Isnt that the truth? sighs Lexie, who hasnt slept much lately either. She expresses how she wishes that the rest of her life ran as smoothly as her work. Daniel assures her that hes all ears if she needs to talk. Lexie complains how she and Abe hardly see each other and when they do, all they do is disagree about everything, including Theo. She shares how Theo hasnt been speaking, so shes sending him to a child speech therapist. Lexie admits shes afraid to tell Abe about the pediatricians recommendation to have Theo checked out by a child development psychiatrist, as shes afraid Abe will hit the roof. Daniel advises her to go see the psychiatrist for peace of mind. Lexie notes how he makes it sound so simple, then implores him to talk about his life. He declines for the time being.
Abe encounters Lexie in the hospital and startles her. He invites her to go grab some breakfast, but she has a really busy morning. He agrees to call next time and asks when to expect her home later. She surmises that hes upset and questions what he would do if she showed up at the station on one of his busy days. He claims hed make time for her, but shes not buying it, recalling how he barely looked up when she brought him lunch the other day. Abe reminds her that there were two homicides that day and wonders if hes just supposed to put everything on hold. Isnt that what you just asked me to do? she retorts. Abe proceeds to go, but Lexie reluctantly agrees to have breakfast with him.
Abe and Lexie later return from breakfast smiling. Lexie wants to talk to him about Theo, but they are interrupted by Abes phone. Daniel approaches Lexie and notes how she and Abe seem okay. Lexie thanks Daniel for listening earlier. After Daniel walks off, Abe questions whats up with Dr. Jonas, as he feels like he missed something. A defensive Lexie admits she and Daniel ran into each other and had a little chat. Abe berates Lexie for sharing their personal problems with a guy whom he hardly knows. Lexie blows it off as no big deal and wonders why Abe cant just talk to her. Abe admits he doesnt know who the hell Lexie is anymore and walks off.

However, she urges Sami to go fight for Lucas if her heart is with him.
EJ enters the DiMera living room and says good morning to Lucas, who is holding Allie. He mentions how he heard about the police coming down to the mansion due to Lucas trying to escape. He suggests keeping things civilized between himself and Lucas for the sake of the twins. Lucas makes a snarky remark about EJ being not so civilized. Behavior doesnt make me civilized. Actions do, affirms EJ. You really wanna hold your actions up to the light? Especially your actions concerning Sami? questions Lucas. Ive done some things Im not so proud of Lucas, but I didnt shoot anybody, claims EJ. No, you didnt. Not lately, remarks Lucas.
