Daniel drinks with his buddies while Lexie asks Bo to talk to some of Maggie’s patrons about how he and Hope are making their house green. Hope chuckles how all Bo talks about is green, green, green. “Well, at least you and your husband are communicating,” responds Lexie.

Nick thanks Steph for coming and asks her where Max is. She claims she doesn’t know. Nick believes Max should be there, since he had a lot to do with getting Nick his funding. A guilty Steph flashes back to Max confessing that he fixed Nick’ s mistakes. She insists to Nick that whatever Max did was only to be a good friend. Nick berates Max for doing it behind his back. “Well it doesn’t look like he did you any harm,” notes Steph.

Daniel continues to party with his buddies as Nicole and E.J. discuss his annulment papers. Drama queen Nicole asks for another round of drinks as she encourages E.J. to share how he concludes that Sami will be his. E.J. proposes to be the perfect father and perfect man for Sami, and in the end Sami will end up in his bed and Lucas will be left outside. Nicole quips how it sounds absolutely perfect, then questions how he plans on doing this. E.J. drinks it up as he states how he treats Sami like a woman, while Lucas treats her like a little schoolgirl. He intends to show Sami that he’s an adult and vows to get her to come to him. “You can always leave a trail of dog food,” jeers Nicole. E.J. tells her to stop making snippets as his wife.

Meanwhile, Hope asks Lexie if something’s wrong between her and Abe. Lexie shares how she’s beginning to think that her marriage is in trouble. Nearby, Bo apologizes to Nick for what happened between him and Chelsea. Bo admits that he thought Nick was good for Chelsea. Nick thanks him for saying that. Daniel continues to drink with Dr. Carrington and his other friend. The two men notice Chelsea from afar.

Dean Robbins, the new head of Salem University’s Physics Department, arrives and shakes hands with Nick, who makes the introductions to Maggie. Nick mentions how Maggie has just joined the Salem Green Committee. Maggie introduces Dean Robbins to everyone at the restaurant and reveals that he’s there to present Nick with a check to build his alternative fuel prototype. Dean Robbins praises Nick in front of everyone and presents him with the check, who appears overwhelmed by the amount of the check. Dean encourages a speechless Nick to say something.

One of Daniel’s buddies intends to go hook up with the brunette (Chelsea). Dr. Carrington breaks the news to his fellow doctor that the brunette is the donor for the partial pancreas transplant. “Well at least she still has all of her good parts,” notes the doctor.

Dean Robbins hopes that Nick’s prototype will put the physics department on the map. Daniel’s doctor friend approaches Chelsea and asks to buy her a cocktail. The Dean brags to Bo about Nick. A guilty Nick reveals that he had a little help, so maybe he shouldn’t be entitled to the funding. Steph overhears this.

Lexie sits with Hope and opens up about her marital problems, revealing that Theo’s been having problems at preschool. She complains how difficult Abe is being, especially on the topic of getting Theo tested. Hope tries to assure her that she’ll get everything on track again. Lexie reveals that she and Abe started seeing a therapist and wonders what if she and Abe can’t work through their problems.

Dean notes that Nick’s work is exemplary and deserves to be celebrated. He makes a toast to Nick Fallon. “An educator, an innovator, and a man will change the future,” he adds. Nearby, Hope assures Lexie that it’s okay to see a therapist. Lexie shares how their first session went surprisingly well and hopes they can work through their problems.

Chelsea gently turns the doctor down for a drink and reveals that her father is a detective for the Salem Police Department. The doctor gets the hint and walks back to his amused friends. Daniel teases the doctor as to why Chelsea turned him down. The men continue to party together as Daniel’s friends noticed how Daniel and Chelsea were checking each other out. Dr. Carrington reveals how he saw Chelsea go into the locker room the other day. Daniel claims she came in there to ask him a favor, but the guys tease him on what kind of favor she wanted.

Nicole and E.J. continue to laugh and booze it up together. She claims she knows how to make Sami jealous and asks him if he wants to hear. She proposes letting Sami walk in on him and another woman, predicting it would make Sami so jealous. “Where would we find a woman to sleep with me?” E.J. innocently asks. “Hmm. I don’t know,” quips Nicole, as they both imply that it would have to be someone that gets under Sami’s skin and is stunningly beautiful. E.J. is flattered and leans in towards her. He almost kisses her and admits that he would sleep with her in a heartbeat if he wasn’t in love with Sami. Nicole reminds him how the whole point of Sami finding them in bed together is to make Sami jealous. She predicts it would drive Sami back into his arms. E.J. appears incredibly tempted by Nicole and surmises that Sami would be driven back into Lucas’s arms. Nicole seductively suggests they could be together if that happened. Their lips touch before E.J. says it’s not going to happen. Nicole flirts with E.J. before heading to the girls’ room.

Bo later joins the gang and makes a toast to Maggie in honor of becoming a certified green restaurant. Maggie thanks Bo and praises Nick for getting the grant. Max then arrives and is greeted by Stephanie. He sees Dean Robbins and appears disturbed by his presence.

Daniel receives a call while partying with his buddies and tells them to text him later.. Bo tells Daniel to take it easy before he exits. He then asks Chelsea what she’s doing over there all by herself. Chelsea claims she’s just hanging out. Meanwhile, Maggie approaches Max and offers him a glass of champagne. An unsettled Max claims he can’t stay and asks her to give Nick his best, then rushes out.
