At Steve and Kayla’s suite, Stephanie hides the pregnancy test stick behind her back. As Steve and Steph exchange hugs, she hands her mom the stick, who hides it. Steve asks Stephanie if there’s something he can help her with. She claims she’s cramming for a biology exam. He suggests she grab her book so he can help her out. Steph says she doesn’t want to think about exams right now and requests to speak to Kayla in private. He proceeds to go fetch some hot chocolate, per Kayla’s request, and tells Stephanie not to go anywhere until he gets back. Stephanie suspects that Steve knows something’s up. The gals are relieved to discover that the test is negative. Kayla tells her not to put herself in that position again and implores her to go get an HIV test. Stephanie claims she went to the campus health center and got tested already, with the results proving negative. Kayla is relieved and reminds her to have another test done in six months. Steph apologizes, but Kayla assures her that they all make mistakes. Steph wonders why her mom is letting her off so easily. “Because I was your age once, and I certainly wasn’t perfect,” attests Kayla. Stephanie apologizes for Kayla having to hide the test from her dad. Kayla remarks how proud of Stephanie she is. “How can you say that? I came running home like a scared kid,” recalls Stephanie. “Kids hide their mistakes. Adults face them,” affirms Kayla as she takes Stephanie in her arms.
Stephanie later informs her mom that she received a message from Chelsea, who is at the Cheatin’ Heart with the other girls. Kayla suggests she go meet up with them. She invites Stephanie to stay with her and Steve for a few days, but Stephanie claims she feels much better and is going to stay with Cordy, since she can’t afford to go home for the holidays. Kayla suggests she bring Cordy over, then questions if the “guy” is still on campus, which Stephanie confirms. Steve then arrives back with the goodies. Steph takes a raincheck and heads to the Cheatin’ Heart, assuring them that she loves them both. Steve then asks Kayla why she lied about the pregnancy test. Kayla claims Steph was just embarrassed and didn’t want him to know. She shares that the test was negative. Steve questions if it was that “bum Jeremy,” then Max. Kayla says no in regards to both men. Steve is incredulous that Stephanie was with a strange guy without protection and proceeds to call her. Kayla begs him not to, insisting that Stephanie will never trust her again if he confronts her.
Kayla later emerges from the bedroom and wonders if Steve’s talking to her yet. “I just want her to know that I can help her when she needs it,” he expresses. Kayla insists that Steph needs to take responsibility for her actions and claims that girls are just complicated. She moves in for a kiss, which he relents to. Kayla then wonders if he was being serious when he mentioned that he’d be okay if Kayla got pregnant. He dances around the question, then states that he’s 100% sure they should practice getting pregnant. The profess their love and smooch on it.
Chelsea, Morgan, Carmen, and Cordy arrive at the Cheatin’ Heart to pass out flyers of Ford. Adrienne sees the poster entitled “Date Rapist” and notes that the ladies aren’t messing around. Chelsea proposes that they start an Internet site just to warn people and asks Adrienne permission to put some posters up on the bar. After Adriene brings them drinks, Chelsea makes a toast to taking their lives back. Cordy asks Adrienne for permission to hang some flyers in the ladies’ room, then excuses herself. “Here’s to Ford Decker. May he go down in flames,” toasts Chelsea. Meanwhile, Ford lurks outside.
Billie arrives and displays the poster of Ford which she found on the campus bulletin board. Morgan and Chelsea make cracks about Ford, but Billie warms them against their mission. Billie states that she and Jett have put more security cameras along sorority row. Chelsea thanks her mom for watching out for them. Cordy joins them as Billie further informs the girls that she’s also stepped up the foot and bike patrols. Morgan and Cordy go over to the jukebox, while Carmen proceeds to fetch another round of drinks.
Alone with Chelsea, Billie emphasizes how this isn’t a game. Chelsea states her refusal to just be locked up in their bedrooms because of a guy like Ford. Billie asks Chelsea to move back in with her just until Ford’s caught and put behind bars where he belongs. She wonders what Chelsea hopes to accomplish with the flyers. Chelsea hopes he won’t be able to come out of his room like Cordy if he’s not going to be thrown in jail. Billie warns Chelsea that Ford can go wherever he wants to or do whatever he wants, insisting that the flyers aren’t going to stop him. An angry Ford then barges in and confronts Chelsea about the flyers being all over campus. “Answer me b!tch! What the he!! do you think you’re doing?” he screams. Ford warns Chelsea how expensive libel suits are. He denies ever touching Cordy and announces that there was no evidence nor was a crime ever committed. “That doesn’t make you innocent,” sneers Morgan. Adrienne hears the commotion and asks what’s going on. Ford asks her if she let the girls put the posters in the bar, which Adrienne confirms. Ford then yells how the girls are desperate, claiming the only thing he ever did was turn them down. “The only reason this guy’s not even in jail is because his rich little daddy was able to keep him out,” Chelsea boldly declares. Billie urges him to get out before he finds himself in even more trouble. “I can handle trouble. How about you, Chelsea?” he challenges.
Adrienne tells him to leave and threatens to use her foot on him as the girls circle around him. Carmen shoves him. He threatens to start some mug shots of his own. “That’s enough everyone,” says Billie. “No. I like to say when I’ve had enough. Isn’t that right Cordy?” he taunts. Gutsy Chelsea then punches him, giving him a bloody nose in the process. Ford warns Chelsea that she’ll regret it. Steph arrives after the dramatic moment.
