Daytime Emmy Award-winning actress Leann Hunley returned in the latter part of 2009 as Anna DiMera, and many fans were shocked to learn that she was the one who kidnapped Sydney DiMera, E.J. and Sami's daughter. What is even more shocking is that E.J. is the mastermind behind his daughter's kidnapping.
Chandler Massey replaced Dylan Patton in the role of Will Horton, Lucas and Sami's son. Newcomer Gabriela Rodriguez arrived on the Salem scene in late 2009 as Gabi Hernandez, Rafe and Arianna's younger sister. Mia has feelings for both Chad and Will, and continues to be jealous of the attention Gabi is getting from Chad. Who will end up with whom remains to be seen.
Mark Hapka portrays Nathan Horton, Maggie's grandson and Melissa's son. He is dating Stephanie Johnson, but can't get Melanie Layton out of his heart.
