After talking to Molly Burnett and Suzanne Rogers, we were fortunate to have the pleasure of speaking with one of DAYS's most famous on and offscreen supercouples, Bill and Susan Seaforth Hayes (Doug and Julie). Bill was charming and mentioned what lovely ladies were sitting in front on him, and Susan kept looking for her glasses so she could see who she was talking to. They were found on a nearby table. Dawn from Soaptown USA mentioned that Julie was the ultimate bad girl, which paved the way for Sami and Nicole.
Susan did reveal that she and Bill were going to appear on the Christmas Eve episode of DAYS and also appear on a few more episodes, which is why they were at the fan event in the first place. The Hayes's are also working on a historical novel, which takes place in England in the early 1800s. They are currently trying to find a publisher.
I also asked Bill about his show he would be performing in Sarasota, Florida at the end of December, which will take place at the Golden Apple Theatre. "How did you know that?" asked Susan. "Well, it's my job," I laughed. Susan was quick to praise the talented Dick Hyman, who will be performing with Bill in "The Musical Magic of Hayes and Hyman."
