Many fans are aware that former beloved DAYS Star Mary Beth Evans (ex-Kayla) recently taped an episode of the USA Network series finale of Monk. According to Evans's Facebook page, the episode "Mr. Monk and the End, Part 1" should air on Friday, November 27 at 9 p.m ET. She has a scene with Craig T. Nelson.
The actress quotes on her Facebook page, "Monk was alot of fun...Everyone was so incredibly nice and over the top welcoming. It was only one scene and took several hours...so different from daytime. It was alot of fun and I am enjoying doing some different shows, however I miss daytime and the weekly work."
She is definitely missed on this daytime show! Mary Beth Evans is now a contributing author for Hybrid Mom, where she blogs about family traditions, parenting, the ups and downs of being an entrepreneur, her recent European vacation, and more. She is also keeping busy with her apple pie company.
Monk is about a San Francisco homicide detective, Adrian Monk, who developed an extreme case of obsessive-compulsive disorder after the tragic death of his wife. With the support of his friends, he was able to pick up the pieces of his life and get back to solving crimes. The series premiered in 2002, and after eight seasons, the final episode will air on Friday, December 4. Monk stars Tony Shalhoub as Adrian Monk, Jason Gray-Stanford, and Ted Levine. Former DAYS star Stanley Kamel (ex-Eric Peters) also starred on the series until he sadly passed away on April 8, 2008.
Don't miss Mary Beth Evans on Monk next Friday, November 27 at 9 p.m. ET on USA Network!
