DAYS Receives Six Daytime Emmy Nominations!
Wednesday April 30, 2008
The Official 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Nominations were announced on Wednesday, April 30, 2008, with DAYS receiving a grand total of four nominations in the acting category. This is huge news for DAYS, since in years past the show has been snubbed as far as Emmy nods go. Not surprisingly, there were some of our stars from DAYS who rightfully deserved to get nominations but didn’t. However, I am very excited for those who finally received worthy nominations for their hard work this past year. DAYS is finally getting the recognition it deserves! (Read more).

I can’t say I agree with all of the nominees
but I am happy There are nominees from Days. I was sorry to see Bo didn’t make the list. He put on such a good performance when he was sick……..he actually looked the part. I love the fact Chelsea was nominated and Tony too. Max and bonnie wouldn’t have been my favorites to be nominated but I’m cheering for them too! Go Days.
I am really upset James Scott didnt get nominated!!!!!
I am amazed that–once again–Kristin Alfonso was overlooked. Her performances are ALWAYS amazing. This in one actress who deserves an Emmy!
I don’t particularly agree with any of the other choices, though I do love Thao; he just hasn’t had enough airtime to warrant this accolade, in my opinion.
Such a pity….
I’m thrilled for Rachel Melvin/Chelsea’s nomination. I don’t get the others actually, but am happy Days is being represented. The right choices IMO would have been Peter Reckell/Bo and Kristian Alfonso/Hope as lead actor/actress nominees. Maybe next year…we can hope anyway!
how could bo & hope be left out ? also john & marlana , wake up!!! dool is the very very best show on tv.
Ok, seriously, I like Tony when he’s on, but of all the other actors, he gets the nod. The fact that EJ wasn’t nominated, or Hope is plain ridiculous. The only nominee who is truly worthy is Rachel Melvin. Anna should be up for supporting, not Bonnie. Maybe not an “official” snub, but close.
I am also surprised that Kristin (hope) didn’t get the nom or Alison (Sami) both of the actresses have had me in tears and laughing over the year. But at least it is something, and something is better then nothing.
Ok…Thao is great, but what in the world was he nominated for??? He hasn’t had enough airtime OR much or a storyline since they’ve brought him back, much less enough to warrant a LEAD acting nod. I can’t believe they’ve snubbed Allison Sweeney as lead actress. She’s had some really juicy stuff in the last year, especially when the writers strike was going on. And Diedre Hall too! Loved what the new writers did with her character. I’ve never liked Chelsea, mostly because I don’t like the actress who portrays her. She is totally unsympathetic, even now. Don’t understand the rest of the nominations, but good for Days if they get the nods.
