It's the week of Philip and Melanie's wedding. Before the big day arrives, the bride-to-be ends up writing Nathan a letter and asks Stephanie to deliver it to him. Meanwhile, Vivian continues with her poisonous plot to kill Melanie. After talking with Kate, Carly figures out that Vivian knows Melanie is Carly's daughter. Will she stop Vivian from harming Melanie? Not if Vivian's sidekick Gus has anything to say about it. More spoilers for next week include:
- Rafe and Sami reconcile and make love.
- Carly ends up slipping on the ice and hitting her head.

I am SICK of Bo and Hope!!!!!! Why did they bring Carly back…it is Hope’s fault now and they can get rid of her too! Ms. Polly Anna! I also hate Rafe and how nosey he is! Get rid of him and Ari as well! This show is going down the tubes fast and needs new CREATIVE writers!
A lot of nonsence going on…and not much more than that. EJ and Sami should be together, not Rafe and Sami. For some reason, Melanie is acting younger and younger. Is that to justify having two “mothers” haggling over her, or to prove that she is too young to marry? I like her with Philip. Nathan is waaaaay too calm for her. Carly and Bo? Um, no. Justin’s wife, Adrienne, is coming back to the show so that will put Hope out in the cold.
I’m so sick of Hope and her “tantrums”, just have her leave Salem FOR GOOD!!!! Sick, sick, sick of her whining!!!
Why did you make EJ a jerk like Stefano?! Knock it off already and get that baby back to Sami!

get rid of hope||| she thinks she knows all. she leaves bo everytime she is unhappy with what he says. talk it over thats what normal people do.hope thinks she is miss perfect and only she knows whats right.what ever happened to happy times on days ?everyone is sneaking around and the good guys are bad and the bad guys are worse.are the writers all miserable at home and cant think of anything happy. even the christmas tree decorating was not good at all.bring back marlena ,john ,steve ,kayla ,lucas and jennifer and whatever her husband nane is. i have alot more i can say but why waste my time no one will listen.
I hope Nathan finds out about the letter Stephanie keeps from him from Melanie – ends things with her and Melanie and Nathan get back together – I like them together
We will all miss the character Alice Horton. She has been one of our favorite’s since the biginning.
Hope has played out her welcome though. Where did this high and mighty side come from? I think Bo and Carley deserve each other and should be happy.
Poor Melanie. I think she and Nathan are too cute together. At the same time, one feels sorry for Philip.
Sami needs to make her up her mind for goodness sake !!! Rafe is one of the good guys and she needs to count her blessings. Lets put Maggie with a handsome man her age and play this out for awhile.

I just wish Carly would go away for good and Bo and Hope would get back together. Maybe they could take a break and go on that cruise that Mickey and Maggie was going to go on. I am over the Sydney storyline I wish Sami would get her soon. This story has gone on too long. I loved it the other day when Anna went to see Sami and they talked about Carrie. I believe someone on here was talking about Chad’s dad. He is David Leasure. He was on the show Empty Nest a spin off of the Golden Glrls. It was a good show. I wish we could see it in reruns like we do Golden Girls. It had one of my favorite actresses in it Kristy McNichol.
I loved the scene with Chad and his dad. It was something different anyway. I hope they show more of them together so we can get to know Chad’s family more. 
The writers of days, should allow a found fairwell toAlice “mrs.H.” Horton. This was one great lady. One of the best ever on days and to not bid her fairwell, with all the family and friends around wouldnot be right.
Whatis this with Chole. First Chole cannot have children, then Cholie is pregnant and then Chole isnot pregnant. Is she or isn’t she?
Carly knows that Vivian knows that Melanie is her daughter but somehow, somewhere, because of the actions of someone, Vivian willnot harm Melanie.
Give us viewers a last chance to see Alice Horton treated with the respect she deserves, and give Mrs. H. a furneal with all her children,grandchildren and friends gathered around. Now that Mrs. H. is gone who will be “head of the Horton family? Maggie is a Horton by marrage. July is always traveling. Hope cannot keep her marrage together, much less a complete family. Nathan, cannot not even deside which girl he wants, so he can’t head-up a family and all of the other children and grandchildren are gone. Who will be making, “the Horton doughnuts”?
If this series gets any slower, expect Christopher Columbus to appear and ask for directions!! The story lines just drag on and on, and the show isn’t really very good. Stick EJ and Rafe on a freighter and send them away — for good. Phillip, you need to take acting lessons. Come to think of it, this show sucks!!!

Bo rushes Hope to the hospital, after finding her passed out. Will this jolt Bo into making up with Hope?
I wish people would stop saying nasty things about the way Hope looks. She is a remarkable actress who is aging beautifully. The show needs Bo and Hope now more than ever. They should be put back together and become the new version of Tom & Alice Horton. Speaking of Alice, Francis Reed will be missed greatly. I loved the Christmas shows with the ornaments being placed on the tree. In fact I loved that tradition so much that when my children were born, we started the same tradition. My oldest is now 38 and we continue to add n ornament with each new grandchild. Thanks for all the wonderful memories.
I don’t think getting rid of any of the characters is the answer — need new writers to come up with some new ideas
We’re seeing the Melanie’s vulnerability under the manipulative/tough mask she displayed when the character was introduced. The character development the writers are developing capitalize on the actress’ wonderful portrayl of Melanie.
The Hope, Bo, Carly storyline is irritating. Carly’s return is a thin attempt to boost ratings. Hope is brittle & blaming & Bo is defensive. His being the rescuing “knight” for “damsel” Carly isn’t credible. Hope & Bo, get some counseling (& not from your friend Marlena, if she returns to Salem). Considering your age (which is showing, thank God, so that your characters seem real), it’s time to mature & reconcile.
The actor who plays Rafe portrays him beautifully, so that he’s an appealing “hero,” who has great chemistry with Sami. Sami doesn’t belong with EJ -EJ has transitioned from being an ambivalent, but sympathetic “bad guy” into being a sadistic “bad guy.” His cruelty is not appealing.
Finally, Days is a soap opera; what do expect? If you find it tedious, fast forward or don’t watch.
Come on already, to live to be 95 is a gift, please do not show a long and drawn out funeral, like Mickey’s BORING!!
I love the scenes with Sami and Rafe, put them back together and married. EJ is too sneaky. Anna and Vivian and Ari are a great asset to your show. Keep Melanie with Phillip and tell her to act over the age of 12, Nathan to boring. As for Hope she is a very talented actress, she certainly is not old, she is just playing her part people get real if you don’t like it fast forward!!!! Carly puts some spice in this show so please keep her on
Let Rafe and Ari find Sidney and return her to Sami, get EJ caught for being the head of the drug ring and let Ari take most of the credit since she worked so hard, when Nicole comes back let her return as a blonde, that black hair was not becoming. Writers keep up the good work your story lines are fantastic.
First I would like to say I am extremely saddened by the passing of Francis Reid. I’ve watched DOOL for over twenty years and loved her.
I never thought I would say it but I am sick, sick, sick to death of Hope. She is so high and mightly anymore that I almost can’t stand to watch her.
Oh and what the heck is up with Kate’s blue hair? She is a middle aged woman not some teenager expressing herself. Lose the blue hair Kate! It looks STUPID!
What about Alice Horton? Will there be a furneal or memorial for Mrs. H? Shame on the writters if they donot gather the children and grandchildren to say good-bye to such a great actress. For so many years, Tom and Alice made daysof our lives, a great show, and to let Alice Horton go with outeven a fairwell, is horrible and heartless. Shame on those who are still on days, if they allow there to be no “send off”, for Alice Horton.
Lol, about Kate’s hair. I was wondering what was going on with it. I give up. I think, KR is right about Hope as well. She is not any fun to watch more at all. Both Bo and Hope are making me sick. What have the writers done to them. I almost can’t stand to watch it anymore whenever Bo and Hope are on screen.

I was wondering if I had missed something about Miss Reid. There hasn’t been anyone to come on screen yet to mention her death or have I just missed it. It has been almost a week. I was hoping someone would come on at the begining or ending of one one the episodes to tell about it.

Carly has had enough time to tell Melanie, they are family, and who cares if Carly tells Melanie or not? Please NO MORE LOVE CHILDREN. We have had “love children”, coming out of the woodwork and we are up to our y-zoos,with love children.

Carly falls and bumps her head. Oh boo-hoo and who rilly cares if Carly hangs around or leaves town? Who cares if Carly tells her “love child”, “the truth”, or not? We long time viewers want, need and deserve a furneal or memorial, for Alice Horton. {Frances Reed}, Mrs. H ,Alice Horton, was the “back bone” of days for a long time, and doesnot deserve her death to be, “swept under the rug and forgotten.” We want a furnel or a memeroal or both.
I love Carly being back. I didn’t want her to come back at first, but she’s managed to add some spice to another wise boring Bo & Hope. I was sad to see they didn’t announce Frances Reid’s death on Days. She was the original Matriarch of Dool. It’s too bad that Melanie is marrying Phillip. She really hasn’t completely made up her mind who she wants, but the more she sees of Nathan, the more she’s very attached. I don’t know if it’s sexual or just plain immaturity, but she’s a good kid with such a sad life not knowing her parents or Carly for that matter. Hope nothing happens to her. I know Hope and Victor will be somewhat involved in watching the activities of Vivian. Vivian and Victor are a riot together. Vivian has always been a great actress, but wow is she evil in this since she came back. I can’t get over how Anna DiMera has aged–and not gracefully, either. She’s acting like a dumb blonde this time which is different than when she was first in it so many years ago! Overall, the writers have much improved since I watched it before. I watched it from Day one till it started getting too supernatural and terribly repetitive. Half of the show would be a rerun of yesterday’s episode. This has all changed, and I hope it will continue on the air for a long time with these writers….PLEASE!!!
It was great to see Lucas back. I hope Lucas stays on days, and he and Sami get back together, for good this time. We were told ages ago that Sami was going to get Sydney back. What happened with that?

Can someone please explain what is going on with Kate’s hair. Everytime I see her I am drawn to the blue patches in her hair! Is this being done on purpose? Have a missed a new hair trend? Am I seeing things?
No, you are not seeing things. I think Kate really has become Crazy Kate with the hair now. I wish that Kate and Carly would be the next to leave after Lucas goes next week. It is hard to believe next week is his last one. Maybe I might miss him, who knows. lol.
First, I want to say thats its sad to hear the passing of Frances Reid,Known as Alice Horton or affectionly as Mrs H. My Mother always liked her ans she’ll be missed. I was hoping to see one more appearance of her.
I’m pretty sure they’ll have a funeral or memorial service for her. We’ll have to give it time because it just happened last week and episodes are taped 2 months in advance so the writers will have to figure how to write it in.
I can’t stand Vivian. I thought Kate was bad but Vivian takes the cake. She even makes Stefano look good. I can’t believe she would kill Melanie who is really an innocent party. I don’t want Lucas to leave days. I want Lucas to stay on days as lomg as days stays on the air, all the time with Sami. Why would Days bring Lucas on for 1 more week? That is not fair. Why is it that the writters put people together now, that anyone can see, has no means of staying together? Phillip and Melanie were marred today. Now, how long will that last? Phillip loves Phillip and Melanie still “has fillings”, for Nathan. Now, how can that marrage last? Nathan went to stop the wedding, but didnot even go in the house. Seems to me that, if Nathan thought that much of Melanie, Nathan would have stoped that wedding. Stephany should have given Nathan the letter that Melanie wrote Nathan and have let Nathan made up his own mind.
All the mexicans need to be taken off the program. This bunch was on Passions and it went down hill faster than a speeding bullet. It isn’t that I dislike the Mexican People but they have their on channels on tv.
Sammi’s role never changes, meet mew man, have sex with new man, have sex with more new men. Why don’t they write her off the show? Have watched Days for 30 years (off and on) and this is the worst story line ever!
