Gone today, back tomorrow?
On June 7, Soap Opera Digest reported that Bren Foster (Quinn) was let go from Days of Our Lives, along with co-stars Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe) and Tamara Braun (Taylor). Now the magazine is reporting that, in a surprise move, Foster has been rehired and will be staying put.
The move is a tad surprising, considering Louise Sorel, who plays Quinn's mother Vivian, has already been pink slipped. And Bjorlin, with whom Foster shared the majority of his scenes the last month, is still slated to leave the soap. Bjorlin, in fact, recently tweeted that she tapes her last episode on July 14.
Obviously, the handsome British actor has appealed to one of the higher-ups at Days of Our Lives. What else would explain his quick rehiring? But as to whom Foster's character will be involved with now that his mother and gal pal Chloe are both leaving remains to be seen.
As for the direction of Quinn's upcoming storyline, a source reveals that it will involve Foster's real-life passion: martial arts. Foster has been studying the self-defense practice since the age of 6 and holds black belts in Taekwondo, Hapkido and Hwa Rang Do.

Chloe & Taylor are good to stay where the story line is taking them as far as Bren Foster never did have a liking ~ no chemistry there at all he just does not fit the scenes..Jenifer and Daniel do not have the chemistry at all! On the otherhand Daniel and his past with the Dr. and Mother of his Daughter goes very well sexie together Jenifer needs a Jack in the past back?

I think Kate’s blue hair needs to go on the chopping block. Don’t get rid of Taylor all together, bring back the other one. This one is not very good. Get rid of Nicole too. Her part is going nowhere. Also, Maggie and Victor need to get a room and get it over with. Brady also was a much more appealing character when sober. Drunk Brady is boring.

He was apparently born in England and went to Australia soon after. I’m glad he’s staying. He’s a great actor. Wish Louise was staying too. They have great chemistry together and could stir up a lot of trouble!
If you have been watching DOOL as long as I have, you would know all the stories lines repeat every five years or so. This includes the shootings, the drugs, the imposters etc. My complaint is all the very YOUNG actors. With getting rid of Marlena and John and now Vivian it is being written for the much younger viewers. What about us old timers that have enjoyed the show for many years?

Please leave Chloe in, also Vivien…she is hilarious and they need some comedic action. I wish they would have Chloe getting back with Daniel somehow and also get rid of Gabby, Taylor, perhaps the Will character…why get rid of the older ones…they are the glue that holds the show together. I heard that John and Marlena are coming back as is Jack. I don’t like Jennifer with Daniel, absolutely NO chemistry. Of course they’ll do what they want.

They need to give the young characters some exciting storylines, they are so boring just hanging out at the pub. was glad to hear that Marlena and John are coming back. I agree Monday was a waste. Bring back the other Taylor or cut the part all together. Chloe should be singing at Chez Rouge, bring back her family. lHer mom and dad would be here for her, they were great. Stop bring in all of Rafe’s family we don’t need all them. They are determined to ruin Days with letting go Marlena and John a few years ago, and introducing new characters who add nothing to the plot. If anything, Chloe needs a good story line. It isn’t the actress’ fault that she is the dumping ground of Salem when she didn’t do anything worse than what anyone else has done. Get real writes. Can you say cancellation?
Please stop the stupid storyline with Chloe! She is a great actress, sings beautiful, and would be a great asset to Chez Rouge! Romantically, put her back together with Brady, where she belongs! Sami definitely belongs with Rafe, as they are great together! Sami with EJ, after all that has happened, yuck! Carly needs to be with Daniel, so they can be the family that Melanie never had. Bring back Frankie Brady so he can finally be with Jennifer. Glad to hear Vivian is going, even though she is a great actress. I like the actor who plays Quinn, but don’t care for his character. Get rid of Nicole as her character has nowhere to go. Maggie is too good for Victor and should just take over the role of Alice Horton as patriarch of the Horton clan. Would like to see Victor and Caroline together, after all, Shaun Brady has been dead awhile now, and they are Bo’s parents. Like Chad with Abigail, and Will with Gabby. Glad Bo and Hope, and Justin and Adrienne are back together, now bring back Patch and Kayla. Stefano, EJ and Kate all need to get their comeuppance. Totally ecstatic that John and Marlena are coming back to Salem! Could it be that EJ finds out that Brady beat him to a pulp, kidnaps Brady and locks him in the DiMeara basement to torture him, and John’s return means he finally has it out with EJ and Stefano???
Thank goodness Tamara is leaving! Putting her together with EJ has been a huge flop. James Scott is a great actor, but even he can’t make the scenes between the two of them work. Why in God’s name the writers refuse to put EJ and Sami together when their sizzle is so obvious, will remain one of my great unanswered questions.
I too have been watching Days since it began. I’ve wondered why so many young people, when it’s us “older folks” who watch it daily. Please don’t let Sammi leave. She helps make the show. As does Bo and Hope. We don’t see enough of Abe and Lexie together. I always loved Lexie’s Mother. Where is the original Taylor? Why is Days never included in the Daytime Emmy Awards show? It’s the best (and only one I watch) on TV.
I have beening watching Days since Marlenas exorcism. Miss John&Marlena. Sami sizzles w/Rafe, but tired of creature role. EJ w/all talent couldn’t make this Taylor human, No chem, remember Ava everytime we see her. Need Kate&Stefano. Need better story line for Chloe. Brady&Nic old yuk. Nic needs to be outed w/role in fiance’s death, got off too easy, Brady needs to know. Need to get rid of Know it all Jennifers daughter, Abigail. No chem w/Chad. Bring back Belle&Shawn. Sad to see Vivian go. After reading the comments I could see Chloe as a singer in a restaurant so she’s in the background, but still on the show if needed. (I loved her & Brady before, but now I like Nicole & Brady.) I’m undecided on Quinn, but I would like Sami & EJ back together.
So happy to hear John and Marlana are coming back. Chole needs to stay and sing. It was the the best when her and Brady sang together (or was it Phillip) Vivian is a rich addition to the show and should stay to keep things hopping.
The 1st Taylor was so much better than the one thats playing her now. I like Maggie and Victor together. Jennifer and Jack? I don’t care for Carly and Daniel together. She is a leach, Why not bring back some older chacters that are missing instead of all these teenages.

This new Taylor is not working for me. Glad she’s going. Vivien is funny but she has alredy done enough mean stuff and has run out of mean stuff to do. I suggest they find a way to bring back Tony and reunite him with Anna. Maybe they could have had a child that they had in boarding school in Europe, keeping the secret from Stefano. Days needs to work on the storylines to keep the viewers tuned in.

Does anyone recall the actress playing Taylor being on the show before with a storyline involving Steve “Patch” and how she kept him prisoner. The Taylor character is weak, how about bringing Brandon back? Days has a loyal following but the stories take too long to play out and there’s nothing modern or cutting edge about hospitals and police departments. Let’s get some new businesses in Salem.
I’m just waiting patiently for Austin and Carrie to come back. If I’m not mistaken didn’t Carrie marry someone else after Carrie caught Austin with Sami. Granted was many years ago.
I wish they would just stop changing things. Everytime I start to like a character, they get rid of them and the plot. Hope they always keep Stefano….it has been nice to see his human side too. Love him with Kate. Rafe is yummy and great with Sammy. Glad to see Jennifer back and I like her with Daniel but look forward to Jack’s return. And WOW, Marlene and John are returning!!!!!!!

Please don’t get rid of Chloe. She is such a beautiful, amazing, and talented actress. I honestly haven’t watched the show in the past 3 weeks because of the slow story lines and unneeded characters. Quinn–I don’t quite know how I feel about him. I’m not big on his fake sounding accent, and the storyline he has. As far as the karate and martial arts goes, DUMB!! The old Taylor was FAR better then Tamara. No chemistry with her and E.J and it seems everyone is seeing that. The writers really need to spice things up soon or they will lose alot of viewers. I’ve been watching this show since I was 10 years old. I really miss Belle and Shaun. I heard rumors that Shaun is returning? That would be awesome. When Mimi, Rex, Shaun, and Belle were on the show, it was so exiting and I couldn’t wait to get home to watch it everyday. What happened to those days? I absolutely LOVE Melanie! She is probably one of the best actresses on this show, expecially being that young. I really enjoy her character and hope that her and Brady find some sort or romance together. Dario=SUCKS! Sorry but I don’t find him attractive and I don’t see a point in him having a storyline…same with Gabby. They both need to go instead of Chloe. Maybe I’ll tune in this week to see if any storylines speed up or anything exiting happens. Doubt it though.
why would they get rid of Cloe? they should re-open Doug and Julies place on the lake and make everyone fall in love with her when she sings so beautfully! everyone is so hard on her and it would be a great way to redeem her….then she could show everyone that she isn’t just a vulnerable woman that falls for men so easilly. She is such a beautiful actress….by far the very best actress on the show is Nicole…need to get her back to Brady, SOMEHOW! I also agree that having more buisnesses would be very cool. I think it’s a very big mistake to get rid of Chloe….i been watching days with my wife for the thirty yrs we been married and she watched it from the start….Chloe is gorgeous and such a voice….turn that cheatin’ heart dive into a sophisticated gentleman’s club run by chloe, and let her be the star performer….i bet Chloe could sing opera in a g-string and bra and bring the house down….just a thought to make the show a little more interesting to me.and guys like me….i have a flexible work shcedule, but i’ll bet a lot of unemployed folks are getting hooked…….i love the show and i watch it with my wife everyday but i’ll miss chloe and the others too…she spices it up for me

I heard that Jennifer is going to be in an evening series, I don’t know which one, but if that is true, it’s the end of Jennifer & Daniel. I wonder now if Daniel will end up with Carly after all. I kind of hope not,
Daniel has been through so much he deserves a great girl,
& no one on the show that I can think of now. Maybe a new girl will be brought in, one that would make a wonderful DR’S wife, & he can finally know what real love is, no insecurities, no lies, & be a wife that he deserves.

I really like Quinn, easy on the eyes and plays his part great, big mistake getting rid of Louise (Vivian) these two play their parts well, Kate’s blue hair has to go. I do resent all the teenagers you are bringing to this soap as I find myself fast forwarding all the parts they are in. Put Daniel with Carly, Jennifer is boring and her acting leaves alot to be desired, I like Nicole she plays her part great, Taylor needs to go, Chole dresses like a slut, as for Lexie listen up what Chief Of Staff anywhere would dress with tops to her navel gross!!! I love Sami and Rafe together they have chemistry!! Come on writers enough of the teen’s they are not who watches your show.

I liked the first Stephanie (Shayna Rose), I was just getting used to her and Max (what happened to him?) and you change the Stephanie to Shelly Hennig. Shelly is cute and all, but I really liked Shayna Rose, and was hoping she would be staying on DOOL.
Same with ‘Taylor’, I liked the first one, then all of a sudden, there was another girl playing her, why???? I like Tamara Braun o.k. but she just isn’t ‘Taylor’ to me. I like most all the characters on DOOL. Especially E.J., Stefano, Quinn, Sami, Charly, and many others.
PLEASE, PLEASE don’t make Will gay. You can introduce gay characters if you want, but don’t make Will gay, he has been a solid character for so long, don’t change him now.

Don’t change the Hour Glass opening with McDonald Carey’s voice, it brings back many memories. I THINK he played on the “Helen Trent” radio soap. Yep, I listened to that too.
I’m glad that Bren is staying on Days. The writers are letting go of good actors that are current. Do we really need all these old cast members coming back at once and putting the other actors out of work? Marlena and John are played out, Drake is an over actor. And Carrie? Boring..Let’s keep people on the show that work for today…

Chloe will be so missed! Bring her back as a traveling Opera super star with partial custody of her baby. That will allow Philip to come back as he always seems to be able to stir the plot up a bit.
