Jack Deveraux fans have been longing to see their favorite actor, Matthew Ashford, back on Days of Our Lives since he left the show in 2007. They finally get their wish on Friday, September 23, when Jack resurfaces in Salem.

I am still hoping for Lucas Horton and Tony to come hame to Salem to stay to the end of Days JJ
Jennifer has moved on and is with Daniel now and there is no need for Jack who abandoned her to come back. He’d better stay where he is. I’m not looking forward to see any of the old characters coming back but I will greatly miss the ones who are being let go and fired. I will miss Chloe, Carly, Dario, Quinn and Taylor. I hope the new writers who are responsible for this change will soon be fired and the old ones who kept the story exciting like the rivalry between Dimeras and Kiriakises will be brought back. Every soap has its villain(s): Y&R has Victor Newman; GH has Sonny Corinthos. Now, the new writers want to turn Salem from a “Dark City” into a crime free one. Please, give me a break! Even the very first episode of Days that I watched with my grandmother started off with Julie going into a department store and shoplifting. I have no desire to continue watching Days.
WHOA JOHN! Hang on there! Hahaha! The new Days hasn’t even started yet. Plus, you have no idea what’s in store in every storyline. No one knows EVERYTHING that’s going to happen.
I think people disappointed should give the new writers a chance. And as I’ve said before, good people do bad things too….And who said anything about EJ and the rest of the DiMeras suddenly will become angels and the most upright of citizens too. Hahaha! I doubt that!
Take a chill pill John! I have been a loyal follower of this show since1987! I am super excited for the changes to begin!
SO happy Jack is back!!! They were/are the best couple on daytime!! Daniel and Jennifer never made any sense to me – he just seemed to forget he was ever with Chloe – it was strange – let’s put him with Carly already and move on. Welcome back Jack!

I won’t miss any of the characters that are leaving. Taylor was a mistake from the beginning. She is just another piece of dead wood of whom the show will be much better off without. I like Vivian, but her time has run out. I am glad she is reunited with Ivan, but their departure was no well done.
I LOVED how Vivian departed–in such an eccentric, odd way!!!
Oh no! Marlene and John are coming back to Days? Why, they’ve got to be in their mid-60’s by now!! Is this the best the new writers can do?
I am happy to see Austin and Carry back as well as Marlene and John. I am not happy about Jack. He has done the same old song and dance routine of walking out on Jen. She needs to move on with Daniel, they make a good couple and I have been so happy that she moved on from Jack. I have watched days since 1975 and have never liked the way Jack treated Jen. Let her have a man that will not walk out on her when the next adventure calls him.

Hi John, I’m with you. I am glad Jack is coming back though. He always injects much needed humor. Jen should stay with Daniel though. I just feel we should be moving forward & if they’re bringing all these old characters back aren’t we moving in the wrong direction. I liked john, but not big on Marlena, Carrie or Austin. Did anybody watch the end of GL last yr. I loved the way that was shot. Seemed so real. Just my 2 cents.
Well, Jack is back and as we have already seen (he has still not grown up). Jen has raised all her children she does not need a childish Jack back in her life giving her grief. Let her have some fun. Every time she gets serious about someone Jack pulls one of his tricks. Disappears or gets sick. Boring.
Let give the new writers a chance to shine.
