Victor and Maggie's big fat Greek wedding turns into a small intimate affair, this week on Days of Our Lives, and actress Suzanne Rogers was adamant about looking absolutely perfect for the event. So she channeled Heather Mills.
"It was very important for me to find a dress that was age appropriate," says Rogers. "It had to be something that I was going to look okay in and feel alright about. I didn't want it to be white, but it could be cream."
Days costume designer, Jayne Kehoe, had an idea. "She asked me, 'What celebrity wedding [dress] have you seen that I could find a picture of that you liked?'" recounts Rogers. "I finally remembered that the only wedding where I loved the dress was when Paul McCartney married Heather Mills. She wore this beautiful dress and over the top of it was this lace overlay that was a coat with long sleeves. We tried to find pictures, and then we just put it together. We found the dress one place, the coat someplace else. It all came together and was lovely."
As are Maggie and Victor's nuptials, despite a terrific storm that keeps most of the guests from attending.
"The only people there are the people who count -- Daniel and Melanie, Justin, who officiates, Henderson, and the bride and groom," says Rogers. "It's very romantic and sweet. Victor says lovely things to Maggie during the ceremony. That's the thing. Maggie has brought out this other side to Victor, this very sweet guy that she absolutely fell in love with. That's why she's giving him a chance."

You looked beautiful, Suzanne. I loved the small ceremony. I’d rather Melissa and Sarah had been there. It kills me that the writers have written Maggie to ignore her very own daughters. So many legacy characters have been ruined to prop Melanie and Daniel.
It was very silly writing. One day the storm is so intense no once can go anywhere and the next they are eating outside in shirt sleeves. The wedding could have been small, but not all the drama of “the storm.”
The Daniel/Jennifer story is stupid. John Marlena are boring. Bo and Hope–boring. The new writers need to get their act together. The only fun thing is EJ and Nicole. Oh, gee another missing child. Enough already with that story line. And, I suppose Sami will get pregnant with yet another EJ baby from their little tryst?
