(1) Jean Ross says:

I’ve been watching DOOL since day 1 and the closest thing they have ever done to give me pause for thoughts of dropping it is force feeding us this Will/Sonny story line. Let’s get back to more adventure, action and mystery and out of everyone’s bedroom.

(2) veronica says:

I have been a “days” fan since the beginning…but the “in your face” with the gay men has turned me off !!! I will no longer be watching !

February 1, 2013 at 4:02 pm
(3) grossed out says:

Thank goodness for DVR fast forward..Otherwise, I would not be watching at all. I too agree the in your face gay role is not what I think most stay at home moms want to watch. Have them leave and bring Bo back. When is my hunk tall dark and handsome coming back?

February 1, 2013 at 4:34 pm
(4) Dmitri says:

Oh yeah, how terrible that two people love each other! Can’t believe they would show a healthy relationship on my screen! The horror! And yet, watching rapes, blackmails and murders is just fine! It’s disgusting how many homophobic comments I see on this board, but it’s acceptable for EJami to be together, despite Sami being raped by EJ, or EJ being shot in the head by Sami. Disgusting.

(5) Jane says:

The most authentic, loving relationship on Days. There is a reason for an uptick in ratings. Never thought I would see the day when realistic stories would be told on this show.

February 1, 2013 at 5:23 pm
(6) Dmitri says:

Jane, I completely agree, this is the healthiest and most realistic relationship on the soap right now. It just sucks that the baby drama interfered and split them up, but I think they’ll be back together in no time.

February 1, 2013 at 5:28 pm
(7) Daysfan says:

Will and Sonny is one of the most real and beautiful love stories this show has ever showed. I am enjoying the baby story because it is showing that Will and Sonny can have stories just like all couples. I am even enjoying Brian because again we are seeing real emotions come into play for Will and Sonny. I give so much credit to the writers and the actors for not caving to some homophobic view points and instead allowing us to see a real love story play out.

February 1, 2013 at 5:40 pm
(8) Hannah says:

So glad we’re seeing the Will and Sonny story on Days, never have I seen such a well written/portrayed gay couple on a soap, it’s so so great to see Days has moved forward and is portraying something that is real and is going on every day all over the world, face it people, we’re in a world where there are straight people, gay people, bisexual people, any other type of person and all these people are EQUAL, and Days Of Our Lives is just backing up that point. Bravo to Days, and Bravo to Chandler Massey and Freddie Smith for portraying these two guys in love with such real emotion and passion.

February 1, 2013 at 5:51 pm
(9) LonePirate says:

The Sonny\Brian kiss on today’s episode was the hottest kiss on this show in ages. It certainly was hotter than that Sami\EJ and Jennifer\Daniel macking we saw today. Even the brief bed scene between those two guys was as hot as a raging inferno. I applaud Days for going there and accurately portrarying the gay characters as sexual beings just like the straight characters. I guess it is pretty easy to do with guys that look like Sonny, Brian and Will. While Sonny and Will are going to find their way back to each other, I sure don’t mind Sonny’s pit stop with Brian. This is a great soap story. I’ll take more of this hotness among these guys as it is the best current story and the best current romance on Days by a wide margin.

(10) JennyP says:

“grossed out” needs a reality check because there are plenty of stay at home moms (myself included!) who LOVE the WIll & Sonny storyline. Best love story Days has had in years.

February 1, 2013 at 6:00 pm
(11) Sidney says:

You all need to grow up and deal with gay sex. Wilson is just the beginning gays have tolerated straight sex on soaps for decades. I don’t use God as an excuse saying that it’s wrong. No one knows God personally it’s all opinion and being a gay Catholic the first rule is don’t judge that’s his Job now think about that why do u think he made this rule. Maybe because he is the Creator of life and new this would happen so just grow the hell up And find a way to deal with it! Like it or not we our bigger community then you think and we our coming out and living our lives so we can follow our hearts and be happy in love life and spirituality.

(12) JennyP says:

“grossed out” needs a reality check because there are plenty of stay at home moms (myself included!) who LOVE the Will & Sonny storyline. Best love story Days has had in years. Stop hating. Love is love. Love is beautiful.

February 1, 2013 at 6:03 pm
(13) JennyP says:

Sorry for the double post! It showed an “error” the first time, so I wrote again. Oh well – it’s worth repeating. :)

February 1, 2013 at 6:08 pm
(14) chozenvictory says:

Okay, so Days is supposidly only watched by stay at home moms?
That is pretty prejudice right… Love is always good to watch. Doesn’t matter how that love unfolds.

February 1, 2013 at 6:10 pm
(15) E says:

Bye Veronica! Knowing that people like you is not watching the show makes me very happy.

On the other hand, I’m grateful to Days for bringing up this wonderful story to the show.

February 1, 2013 at 6:12 pm
(16) Samantha says:

Wilson – the best couple. Love them so much. I want to see them as a supercouple.

February 1, 2013 at 6:24 pm
(17) Isabella says:

I’d rather watch Will and Sonny, who are beautiful and adorable, or even Sonny and Brian, who were hot together despite Brian being a player…a thousand times over rather than Dr. Tan and Jennifer. So boring. Love is love. The gender doesn’t matter. Will and Sonny have the best storyline of the whole show and I”m hoping Days does the right thing in showing a modern definition of what a family is.

February 1, 2013 at 6:41 pm
(18) Claudette says:

i love my Will and Sonny so much, so proud of days

February 1, 2013 at 11:43 pm
(19) TJohnson says:

Hurray for DOOL. An honest SL about SS love and passion. The Christian bigots …could they be closet cases like Ted Haggard. Like the elderely lady watching with her unmarried single son all these years?

February 2, 2013 at 12:42 am
(20) Kenzie says:

I love Will and Sonny together! They have a great relationship built off of a strong friendship — what’s not to love about that? I’m sad to see that they are having trouble right now but I sure hope it doesn’t last too long. When Will and Sonny are together they definitely electrify and are one of the best relationships Days Of Our Lives has ever created — and I’ve been watching for many years now!

February 2, 2013 at 3:18 am
(21) Michael says:

I love the Will and Sonny storyline. Not so sure about the Will and Gabi drama as it was a bit far fetched in the beginning, but I think I know the story they’re going for. More to do about what exactly a family is, whether two men or two women can be parents.
Awesome storyline and it’s the reason I watch Days now.

February 2, 2013 at 4:39 am
(22) stacey says:

I love Will and Sonny’s (& Brian’) story. I’m a stay at home mum (Australia) and watching this love story is just beautiful. I thank DOOL writers. I think for homophobia to stop, it needs to start at home. Parents. My kids are not phased by 2 men/women kissing on screen or off screen, but neither are my husband and I.

February 2, 2013 at 5:59 am
(23) Gwen says:

WilSon are the best thing that happened to DAYS. I absolutely love them :)
Two actors portraying an amazing story!!!

February 2, 2013 at 10:07 am
(24) Yeonhee says:

Will and Gabi will always be Mum and Dad, and hopefully they also both have partners (obviously not cray-cray Nick!) who can add to the family unit. A modern family^^

The build-up to the WilSon romance wasn’t so well done I thought. It was choppy and there wasn’t much angst, drama or longing. But since becoming a couple, the writing has been fantastic and I’m rooting for them all the way!!! Who can’t help fall for a classic love story?

And I’m also glad NBC isn’t caving to homophobic reactions.

February 3, 2013 at 12:09 pm
(25) Laraine June says:

Because Days is on from 1:00PM -2:00PM, there are alot
of young children watching your gay scenes. I think it’s disgusting, save it for the porno movies.

February 3, 2013 at 2:14 pm
(26) BeBe2 says:

Days of Our Lives is not one I keep up with, but I was in the doctor’s office waiting room filled with both men and women. Well, how surprised we all were to look up and see 2 young men making out/kissing on TV….even more surprised to realize this was a soap opera….we thought it was an X-rated cable channel.
Just because gays can marry in some states, we get this kind of thing on the regular channels?
I can tell you the comments in that office were not favorble, but a lot of people did start laughing.

February 3, 2013 at 5:58 pm
(27) Sheila says:

I don’t care for the Will and Sonny story I usually turn the channel if I think its going to show to guys together, I just don’t think it should be aired on TV. Sorry I’am from the old school where this would have never been allowed. I

February 3, 2013 at 11:37 pm
(28) norma says:

I have been watching days since 1980 and am totally discussed with the bedroom scenes wit the gay couple and its getting bad between a lot of the cast Cant your writers do any better

February 4, 2013 at 12:13 pm
(29) Dmitri says:

No, it’s not getting bad with a lot of the cast, and most people don’t mind seeing it on the soap. If anything was ruining Days, it’s the Sami triangle and Dannifer.

February 4, 2013 at 4:14 pm
(30) adrienne says:

I think Will and sonny are great! they kiss with such passion..not like dan and jen . I love that Days finally got up to speed on the show. I love when they are on. Kudos Boyz! I love u both!
I am straight and it doesnt bother me one bit.

February 4, 2013 at 4:15 pm
(31) Cheryl M. says:

I second what Dmitri said.

I’m 55 years old and happily married to my husband, and I have 3 beautiful children and soon to be 4 beautiful grandchildren. I’m not gay, and I don’t presume to understand being gay. I do think that attitudes are changing such that people are finally beginning to understand that each person is responsible for themselves and their choices, but those choices don’t make them bad people, and it sure doesn’t mean God doesn’t love them. God loves everybody (at least that’s what I think).

I think Sami has made some awful choices–and continues to do so. She needs to remember who was there for her when her baby died (well, okay, it wasn’t really hers, but she didn’t know that). I like EJ as much as anybody, but the fact of the matter is–no matter what–you don’t rape someone then shoot them in the head then declare you love them. Sami seriously needs some counseling, big time. I am hoping that a new psychiatrist will be coming to town to help deal with Sami and her issues. Would be nice if she would get straightened out and she and Rafe could get back together.

And hey, while we’re at it–could Days PLEASE get a lasting love interest for Lucas? Bryan Dattilo is a phenomenal actor, and I want him to stay around!!!!

Get rid of Chloe and let Jennifer and Daniel be the new “Dr. and Mrs. Horton” (so to speak) that everyone can love.

And bring back Bo!

February 4, 2013 at 4:40 pm
(32) Wanda M says:

I have never been so disgusted and sickened as the gay (use to be a wonderful word) storyline. I have a DVR and quickly get through all scenes related to homosexuality. I have watched DOOL since the very first show and have delighted in the family relationships and story lines but the writers have given it all away with their unstopping garbage. If they continue in this direction I’m gone and away. I’ll miss the old DOOL as it was clean with fun, scary, frightning story lines but this is deranged. Homosexuality is a choice…one is not born that way. It is a mistake. Man is by God and God makes no mistakes. Writers, get off your liberal bent and bring back values and morals.Shame on you all for making a mokery of DOOL!!!!!

February 4, 2013 at 5:34 pm
(33) Mary says:

Have been watching Days since it started over 45 years. I think you have gone too far with Sonny & Will. I have nothing against gay people,, in fact, I have a gay cousin. The movie “Broke Back Mountain” didn’t show what we have to D VR out.

February 4, 2013 at 5:36 pm
(34) Lori says:

I am a straight woman with children and I think the Wll and Sonny love story is hands down the best story DAYS has done in a few years. They took their time and fell in real romantic love.

I can’t believe that people who have no trouble watching rape and murder on the same show object to seeing two actors portraying two people in love kissing.

Hopefully the increased ratings lately show that most viewers are not prejudiced.

Thank you, DAYS, for finally entering the modern era and doing it so beautifully with the Wilson story.

February 4, 2013 at 6:12 pm
(35) Linda says:

I think the storyline with Will and Soni is disgusting. It is not a realistic portrayal because same sex relationships are not normal. Shame on Dsys for throwing this unhealthy and disgusting storyline in our faces!!

February 4, 2013 at 6:14 pm
(36) Mary says:

Actually viewed a heterosexual love scene on DOL today. What a refreshing difference. Enough already.

February 4, 2013 at 6:42 pm
(37) deb says:

THANK GOODNESS for the DVR!!!! I I do not believe in same sex relation ships!! I believe what the bible says!

February 4, 2013 at 7:12 pm
(38) Dmitri says:

Yeah, how refreshing! A woman having sex with the man that raped her! True love!

EJami love scenes are far more disgusting than WilSon scenes, because WilSon never had a rape involved.

As for gay being a choice, I am gay, and I can assure you, I didn’t choose this. Would one choose to risk being disowned by his or her parents? Ridiculous! If you do not like the storyline, stop watching Days of Our Lives and giving us fans a bad name!

February 4, 2013 at 7:18 pm
(39) Marie says:

I’ve been a viewer since day one when the show was only a half hr. long. I’ve taped it when I was in the hospital or on vacation. Now I get the news of what’s going on from my neighbor – I can’t watch the perverted and unnatural lifestye of Will & Sonny. It’s absolutely sickening and not at all what this program was meant to be. Bring back Stefano FULL TIME for Pete’s sake stop all that slobbering between Will and Sonny!

February 4, 2013 at 7:21 pm
(40) J Klein says:

Dont mind the gay story line but please not the bed scenes. That is sickening to me and my friends.

February 4, 2013 at 7:49 pm
(41) goodness gracious says:

You know what’s disgusting? The homophobic comments on this message board. I love DOOL and I find Wilson to be a refreshing change from the disgusting soft porno of all of the HETEROSEXUAL COUPLES. (Especially EJami, because that’s just unhealthy and ridiculous, with their history.) I love the show and I love what the writers are doing with this, I’m just ashamed that I have to SHARE the show with all of the bigots I’m seeing here…

February 4, 2013 at 7:49 pm
(42) Rene says:

Loving Days so much right now. The storylines are sharper after some characters have left. Time did not allow for so many different SLs. Loving the Will and Sonny drama and can’t wait tilll they get back together. Well done, Days. Loving EJami’s reunion. Amen!!!

February 4, 2013 at 7:50 pm
(43) Josie says:

Ugh, homophobies everywhere. Disgusting.

I rather watch Sonny and Will have sex than watching Sami have sex with EJ who raped her.

I mean, seriously now.

Sonny and Will have a huge fanbase and we will support them through and through. Keep them in the show, which is one of the reasons why I’m continuing to watch Days in the first place.
The directors and everyone there is way more understanding than a lot of people commenting here.

(45) Lisa says:

I love the Will & Sonny storyline so much! It’s so refreshing to see a young gay couple in love! Even though the angst hurts a little right now, it wouldn’t be a soap with out it :) I honestly love that this storyline is being treated just like any heterosexual couple’s storyline! I can’t wait until this is a non-issue. It makes me sick to see some of the comments on this post! Welcome to 2013, people! Where people are treated equally no matter WHO THEY LOVE! Hypocrites. Ugh!

February 4, 2013 at 7:53 pm
(46) iheartWilSon says:

I’m one of many middle-aged moms who have returned to watching Days after years of going without just to watch the WilSon storyline. There are many more who have always watched Days and the love story has changed their views on gay relationships. It’s a beautiful love story and I hope Days makes them a super-couple. Thank you writers for making such a realistic story and to Freddie Smith and Chandler Massey for the awesome acting that’s made so many fall in love with them.

February 4, 2013 at 7:55 pm
(47) E says:

To all the haters. You should be disgusted with yourselves. You should save these comments and show them to your grandchildren so they feel deep shame of your way of thinking. Shame on you for your hatred, intolerance and inconsideration.

(48) Angela says:

I have watched days for over 26 yrs. I am a married working mother of 2. I love Will and Sonny!! I was at first uncomfortable with the idea of a same sex couple but Days made me see that they r real people with real feeling who just want to find love. So I kept an open mind about the s/l and I love Will and Sonny. Chandler and Freddie r both amazing and Days has done a great job telling the love story. Not gay story and love story. I am proud of Days. Now we just need them back together and Brain gone. I miss Will and Sonny together.

February 4, 2013 at 8:01 pm

I absolutely adore Will and Sonny’s story. Such a brilliant and pure show of true love.

February 4, 2013 at 8:02 pm
(50) Dex says:

I love the Will/Sonny relationship. It shows that couplez, gay or straight, go thru alot of the same problems. And the person who said SAHM’s don’t need to see that, i love seeing them.

February 4, 2013 at 8:04 pm
(51) sailor says:

Believe me, if Alice and Tom Horton were alive today they wouldn’t approve the gay kissing and blatent lovemaking and the storyline in general. They’d be rolling over in their grave! just my opinion!

February 4, 2013 at 8:05 pm
(52) Lissana says:

i absolutely love the Will and Sonny, i’m so glad they are treating them equally with the all the straight couples on the show, i’m having a hard time trying to understand how anybody can say the love two people share is wrong and disgusting, and i’m so thankful to days for giving me this great storyline

February 4, 2013 at 8:07 pm
(53) Sylvia says:

I’ve watched Days from nearly the beginning, I’ve seen the generations grow and many of the stories have been really amoral in terms of sex and how mean some of the characters have and continue to be to each other. There has been crime accepted as story, a lot of those have turned into fine stories regards redemption. The really mean things that family and friends have done to each other over the years has been acceptable story so what’s up with the outcry about this story line?

By the way, I had left the daily watching of Days as it got boringly the same thing over and over. I would check in now and then to see what’s up and recently found this Will and Sonny story. I applaud it for several reasons: these are characters whose birth and growing up was during my time watching, the writing has been real and taken the time to show how people come to know such things about themselves and go on to include family and friends.

I think using Will as the main character and then Sonny was a stroke of genius. It’s interesting to me what an outcry there is against this story line while we’ve had the beloved Marlena the devil come to earth., and the many back stabbing under handed sex stories of all of the other characters except the elder Bradys. Times they are a changing and I like that DOOL is changing with them. Thank you, good job and please continue without being pressured by bigots into leaving this type of story. Certainly not telling it will make it go away.

February 4, 2013 at 8:10 pm
(54) Eric Lee says:

I watch Days Of Our Lives FOR the Will and Sonny storyline. I can’t believe some of the bigotry and hate comments that the show is getting. A major piece of soap operas have been the couples they showcase, and Days is taking a huge step forward with the WilSon storyline. And in my opinion, they are doing an absolutely FANTASTIC job portraying a relationship.

That is correct ladies and gents, a relationship. Not a “gay” relationship, just a normal loving relationship between two people. Because that is what it really boils down to. We all experience love in the same way as an emotion. It’s that feeling that we get when we are around the person we want to be with for the rest of our lives.

The on screen chemistry between these two is phenomenal, and it’s their storyline that will have me continuing to watch Days Of Our Lives. Keep up the great work NBC Days!

UGH! I have some good gay friends, and have nothing against them. I respect them for not shoving it any anyones face. This storyline is disgusting. Back to Stefano etc. Too much sex on TV anymore all the way around, but the gay thing just isn’t right.

February 4, 2013 at 8:15 pm
(57) Josie says:

Again, I rather watch Will/Sonny action than Sam sexing up someone who raped her.

It’s much better, imo.

Also the original directors are not ignorant and they probably love how much people are starting to watching DOOL now.

I’ve watched Days since the 80′s. I stopped for awhile but I came back when I saw Will and Sonny’s story. It’s great if you ask me. It’s not just a gay love story, it’s just a love story. And honestly, I rather watch them than Sami falling in love with her rapist / shooting him in the head but she loves him, or Marlena getting possessed or Stefanos death for billionth time. And I thought Days was rated TV-14, why would you let your children watch this if they’re underage? Gay people are everywhere and I don’t see a problem with them being represented on a daytime soap.

I’m asking because if that’s so, then I really don’t get what makes you think you have the right to speak out your opinion. Don’t you know women have no rights, if not being ruled by men?

(64) Tonya says:

The Wilson story is the best thing thay Days has ever done. I am a straight woman andI have been watching this show for the last 20 + years and i have never found a love story to be so real and true and beautiful. Never have I been as invested in a story as I am in this one. I HOPE DAYS KNOWS WHAT A MARVELOUS JOB THEY ARE DOING WITH THIS AND ALSO THE AMAZING JOB THAT CHANDLER MASSEY AND FREDDIE SMITH ARE DOING…. BRAVO DAYS FOR HAVING THE COURAGE TO SEE THIS THROUGH!!! I LOVE IT!!! WE WANT A WILSON WEDDING PLS AND THANK YOU!!!!!!

Will and Sonny were the reason I started to watch days straight again. I had watched it on and off since I was a teenager. I loved the way Will was in so much pain and confusion but thankfully he had this friend who was gay and was comfortable letting people know this. Will and Sonny started out as buddies who grew really close because they shared such intense experiences that created a close bond. There friendship developed into a romantic attraction for each other. It’s a beautiful epic love story that rivals a lot of couples we see on our movie screens today! Days is really fortunate that they have two talented and beautiful guys that captivate their loyal fans to keep rooting for them to become the ultimate super couple. Days is showing a couple in love its only ground breaking because it is with two people of the same sex.Big deal a LOVE STORY!

(67) Bren says:

i’m not really a soap opera fan just never been my cup of tea but because i love the will and sonny storyline so much, i’ve started tuning into days of our lays and i gotta say i’m loving the way their treating this storyline, they don’t just treat will and sonny like the “gay couple”, they treat them like any other couple falling in love on the show and they don’t shy away with this couple either, they get affectionate, loving, and intimate scenes just like everyone else and i think its remarkable, usually gay couples are the backstory and don’t get much screentime and any type of affection that ndicate their a couple, forget about it but not on days and that’s what i love about it and i hope they continue this way with this couple cause i’d eventually like to see them become a supercouple, which would be great, freddie and chandler have done such a fantastic job portraying these characters and storyline and everyone involved, i will always show my love and support for this couple as long as their own this show

I love Wilson. They r the best love story there has been in a long time. Proud of Chandler Massey and Freddie Smith they r amazing together. It is sad to see all the hate what happen to people keeping an open mind. Love is love. Will and Sonny make the show now. Proud of Days.

Will and Sonny are the reason I watch DOOL!!! I love this couple and their love story, and I couldn’t be more thrilled that Days is treating them like any other couple. After all, they are two human beings in love, plain and simple! There is absolutely NO reason why we should not see them express that love through touching, kissing, and yes….sex! Thanks to the talents (and fantastic chemistry) of Freddie Smith and Chandler Massey, these two are a joy to watch, and their intimate scenes are especially beautiful and romantic! WilSon are my absolute favorite couple on the show, and I can’t wait for more of their amazing romance!

I am a straight woman who has been watching Days of our lives for 20+ years. I have never been so invested in a story, as I am in the Wilson story. It is the most beautiful and true love story that they have ever shown. I also hope that Days realizes what magic Chandler Massey and Freddie Smith have created for this show. They have both did such a wonderful job with this story. The people complaining about this story are so narrow minded and hypocritical. LOVE IS LOVE PEOPLE WAKE UP!!!!! IT IS 2013 AFTER ALL!!!! BRAVO DAYS FOR HAVING THE COURAGE TO FOLLOW THIS STORY THROUGH. IT HAS SOO MUCH SUPPORT AND WE WANT A WILSON WEDDING!!!!! PLEASE AND THANK YOU!!!

(75) George says:

If we want our soaps to survive, we have to keep stories fresh and current…and we need to build broader audiences. Doing a sweet (but still hot) romance between young legacy characters is a great way to move soaps forward and bring in more eyes. Days is doing this just right, and it can only benefit the show…and that, long term, will benefit the fans.

Also, everyone’s beloved characters are played by beloved actors…and almost every actor on Days has mentioned somewhere or another that they love the storyline, the characters and that actors…so again…that’s win-win.

February 4, 2013 at 9:48 pm
(76) kay says:

Will and Sonny storyline is what brought me to DOOL and I am officially hooked. I love the fact that this is a “love story” – does not matter if it is two guys or two girls or a girl/guy relationship – the main focus is LOVE. Will and Sonny started out as friends and slowly developed into love. They did not rush this story – took a year and a half before they became an official couple – unlike Brady/Kristen who practically jumped into bed as soon as they met. Same with Nick and Gabby and most of the couples on this show. I hate it that Will and Sonny were interrupted by this baby drama but that is the way it goes on these soaps. So much angst and drama. I am hoping that Sonny will realize that Brian is only after one thing (getting him into bed) where Will truly loves him. Chandler Massey and Freddie Smith are doing an amazing job in their portrayal of this couple and I really hope they continue to grow closer and make this couple a true Supercouple with focus on becoming a family raising this baby together.

Will and Sonny are the reason I started watching Days again. This is the most beautiful love story I’ve ever seen. I am sick of all the hate people!! Love is love. Why can’t you just live and let live? Days – you’re doing everything right!!

February 4, 2013 at 10:12 pm
(79) Chris says:

I applaud Days as well for showing such a realistic storyline for once as well. It is real, true, authentic and shows two people in love but are having the same things happen as every other couple on there.
This storyline was my reason for coming back to Days after years of not watching it. I hope Days continues with it and takes in a very positive direction in the future. This is the most powerful and loving gay couple any daytime soap has ever had.
I do believe Daya knows better than to bend to the pressure of a few upset and bigoted people because this storyline had brought them up in the ratings, won them awards and has stirred up lots of dialogue, both good and bad about homosexuals.
It is high time we are given such a storyline as this on daytime and I can’t wait for what I think is to come for Will and Sonny.
Lastly, for the haters, if you don’t like it, no one is forcing you to watch it. So turn the channel people.

February 4, 2013 at 10:15 pm
(80) Michelle says:

I refuse to defend my love of watching two people that are in love. I will however preach about how much I love Will and Sonny. I am a straight female that had stopped watching this show. It was because of Will and Sonny that I started watching again. I think it’s incredible how they started off as friends almost two years ago and have developed into a couple that is more believable and true than most other soap couples today. The entire show and most especially Freddie Smith and Chandler Massey should be applauded for not being afraid to tell it how it is. This story isn’t about two two gay men that are in love. It is about two people that are in love expressing that love. I can’t wait to watch their relationship grow even deeper. Love is love and not defined by whom a person falls in love with.

Know this bigots, your “opinions” are becoming more and more irrelevant by the day. Your fate is to become further isolated in your ever-shrinking bubbles of hate. What is happening between Will and Sonny on Days of Our Lives is beautiful and true and represents one more harbinger of your doom. The civilized world joins together in congratulating Days and, most of all, Chandler Massey and Freddie Smith, for giving us a fully realized vision of the fast-approaching future.

(83) Andrew says:

Will and Sonny relationship is so beautifuly given. So great actors! That’s the reason I started watching days. And for the narrow minded; there are plenty of other soap operas that don’t have gay love stories so you won’t need to leave your comfort zone by watching dool. Kisses from Greece…

(84) Paula says:

Prudes…homophobia…living in a bubble…could describe some of these out-of-touch negative comments on the Will-Sonny storyline….merely because its a same sex relationship?? grow up…or stop watching..or both…not all Days viewers are stay-at-home moms either…could some of you be More in the 50s???? this is 2013… Get with it…the world is passing you by!! I applaud the writers for this story line…love is love…no matter if a man & woman or same sex!!! And some of you using ‘shove it Down our throats’….please…..I don’t enjoy watching Brady & Kristen in bed all the time either and they get more screen time…why aren’t you complaining about that?? Thank You DAYS For a consistently great show…and please keep the Will-Sonny line going…it’s a love story that deserves to be told!!

(85) Tony (ACminaj95) says:

Well let me start off by stating my age. I am 17 years old. I know, I know I’m super to be invested in a soap. The reason? The Will/Sonny storyline. No, I am not calling it the gay story cause its not, it’s a love story between two people who happen to be guys. I used to watch days off and on with my grandma but now it’s become a regular show of mine. All because I got sucked into this incredible and amazing story that touches upon a subject that seems to be very controversial for some viewers. And I respect the opinions of others, but what I will not accept is people hating on the lgbt community, saying that its a sin or what not. That’s disrespectful to be honest.

Anyways, I absolutely love the romance between Will and Sonny. You should all see me on twitter (some of you have already lol) when Wilson is mentioned. I get all excited for spoilers, emotional for the bad ones and happy for the good ones. I just love these two together. And Freddie Smith and Chandler Massey are outstanding actors and deserve to be commended for their hard work and dedication.

So all in all, I love Wilson and always will :)

Just like Michelle said, I am not going to defend myself on why I love a couple just like any other. It boggles my mind at how people are so quick to hate on a same sex couple. In 2013, really? Has the world seriously come to this? We have however gotten very far. Proof: this storyline. Days is pushing the boundaries of conservatism and I love it. Also, Corday has proved to be 100% being this story. So Wilson aren’t going anywhere :)

I love the Wilson storyline. Because to be honest if it wasn’t for Wilson. I wouldn’t be watching because I wasn’t a fan of Days of our lives but because of them I decided to give it a try. And I have to say that I am so glad I stumbled across this couple. I would’ve never know or see how realistic this storyline is. And I agree it is not just a gay love story, it is a just a regular love story. I love the fact that the writers didn’t just throw them together. that they were friends for a year and a half to becoming a couple. I hope that these two will be reunited soon because I love this couple so much.

(96) Daysofourlivesfan says:

Okay seriously guys, there’s always been romances in every Soap Opera and also in Days and if one of the romances is gay romance why can’t you accept that natural and beautiful thing? You can’t choose who you are, you can’t change it! Think that if you were born as ‘gay’ and you’d struggle months, and in many cases MANY MANY YEARS. It’s so wrong that we have to struggle about WHO WE ARE! People are over the world literally fighting against community. Still, we’re living 2013 and there’s too little acceptable persons and who don’t care who do you love, because that doesn’t matter at all, LOVE IS ALL THAT’S MATTERS! If you don’t have anything nice to say, keep it all yourself, and don’t say at all.

I have watched Days for years and in my opinion this Will’s coming out storyline has been one of the greatest of all! I appreciate writers because they have taken this storyline and made it so wonderful, with absolutely fantastic actors!

I’ve spoken, thank you.

(97) Tony says:

I really truly do not understand WHY there is still to this day so much hatred being spread by something so harmless. What Will and Sonny have is so rare and yet people are willing to put it down. It does not affect their lives. By calling it “disgusting” “gross” and even ” sick” is just not right? I don’t get how they can turn a blind eye to everything else happening on Days and yet get all upset over something so simple and yet so honest. How some adults are letting their children sit and watch a day time adult program is beyond me. Should those kids maybe be outside playing or at school? There is NOTHING and I repeat NOTHING that is being forced down your throats or into your faces by what Days is doing for the Will and Sonny story line. You all seem to have no issues with Sami going back and forth with her men. Or Brady banging for several days what would have been his Dad’s wife. Or other characters getting pregnant or sleeping around with someone else. How can you all be ok with all of that and yet get in an uproar over to adults having feeling for each other and falling in love?

I love will and sonny.these two guy’s are amazing actor’s.I think it is important for day’s to be with the time’s.Get use to it people, gay people are no different then us,it is called a preference. My thing is i hate the way people treat will. He’s a great kid .I know it make’s the storyline interesting with gabi and nick but,i’m for will.I really think nick is crazy and he has not changed.I actually think he’s worst.I love day’s and have been watcing for many year’s and will continue to do so!

Catchung himself he talked with gabi took her to his gran grans ma place .If ther were not interapted by will’s grandgrandma he would try slept with gabi so he dud it the next time all to prove himself he is not gay. ya he knew than he was gay even without admitted it.

I could only suffer through so many homophobic comments, so I couldn’t bring myself to read many of the opinions on this page. Though I do find it “funny” that people watching a SOAP OPERA–i.e. a show built on murder, adultery, lies, cheating, stealing, etc.–feel such righteous indignation over a love story between two young men. Anyway…I still just wanted to make sure to voice my LOVE of the Will/Sonny storyline. I have watched DAYS on/off for over 20 years, and this storyline brought me back to the show after several years of not watching. Can’t say I adore the Gabi/pregnancy ‘twist’ but if it gives them front burner action for a while, then I’m all for it.

The only thing that disgusts me is the number of homophobic notes on this page!
Will and Sonny’s story is just the show being realistic and showing love in all ways.
X-rated, porn or whatever people call it….Have you ever watched closely to the other pairings. I think there is much more shown than some kisses or two people sharing a bed and talking.
I love this storyline, it’s what brought me to watch DOOL in the first place!

(104) karen harrison says:

I too agree with enough of this in your face gay kissing on TV. That is not your core DOOL viewership. Please get back to being the Salem we all want to see. Let Will and Brian and Sonny move, and they can be on the other end of the phone where we don’t have to watch them.

February 5, 2013 at 9:52 am
(105) Sabrina K says:

I’m new to DOOL and the reason I started watching was because I saw the TV Guide special on Will and Sonny’s first kiss. How wonderful that they are portraying REAL LIFE! I’m proud to be part of a generation that not only approves but has begun to DEMAND equal rights for all. Those of you that are disgusted by it, need to open your eyes and see LOVE IS LOVE – acceptance will make you a better person. Those that use God as an excuse to believe it is wrong, should also remember that you will be judged as you have judged.

February 5, 2013 at 10:03 am
(106) Debra says:

I have watched DOOL since 1980, but Iately have seriously thought I may stop watching it. I agree with what a lot of others have said — thank goodness for the fast forward on my DVR. Just because homosexuality goes on in the world doesn’t mean I want to watch it. None of the other Soaps portray homosexuality so “in your face” — for good reason. For those that mention people watching murder, rape, etc. I don’t care to watch that either. It’s amazing that these actors (who I assume are NOT gay) would be all right with these roles as they are so convincing maybe people will think they are gay. I know there are viewers that will say what about gay actors that portray “straight” roles — those are not convincing to me either. I just can’t imagine this storyline going on and on. Where could it go from here? Will’s character (which I really liked before) will now be “pigeonholed” in this role. I will just keep fast-forwarding through these scenes that are even racier than prime-time.

February 5, 2013 at 10:03 am
(107) Quinny says:

comment #33 Mary…you are so ignorant and you have never seen Brokeback Mountain! There were explicit sex/nude scenes in that movie. And since you fast forward through Will & Sonny’s love (not sex) scenes, you dont know what you missed. So, please dont make yourself look stupid on this page by writing what you dont know about!
comment #31 Cheryl M. you are so right, Sami does need a shrink…and so do all the EJami fans! Really how many of you EJami fans would like a relationship that started the same way? I guess if you are raped by a guy who’s hot, it’s okay?? Sick!
Last but not least Dmitri–who appears all over this post. You are my hero and post exactly what I’m thinking! And I’m a middle-aged mother of 2 teenagers!! :)

I am so surprised how many people out there are so mean and still say thing like those gays….. I don’t know how u sleep at night!!! I don’t know how u look at yourself in the mirror and think u are a good person. This story line as brought a lot of people back to dool or brought in all new people to watch. Days of our lives does not care about the ten people that still live in the stone age l.

The WilSon storyline is the best thing to happen to Days of Our Lives in many years! Ratings have increased and it has brought many viewers back to this grand old Soap! Without fresh interesting stories like this Days will go the way that many others have gone…. into cancellation!! All of you haters need to go watch a boring talk show or game show if it bothers you so much! I came back to Days and started watching again just because they started this storyline!! Without it it would have been the same old tired rehash and rehash of worn out reruns of storylines that have been done for decades! Wake up smell the coffee, going backwards will only send this show to the Soap graveyard!!

We, along with many other fans, are boycotting the soap till they get those two broken up for good! As for WilSon, for sure the best couple on the soap! They need to be reunited pronto!

Now I DVR the DOOL, because it overlaps with Y&R. And rather than fast forward through the Will & Sonny scenes, I fast forward to get to them. It’s the best and most realistic love story on TV right now. I hope it ends well for the two guys.

(124) Debra says:

I just read on this site that Will and Sonny are going to “get back together”, (shocker!) Again, I reiterate that I will be fast-forwarding through their scenes. It’s not that I am homophobic — people should be able to make their own choices (and suffer the consequences), but I am sick of this story line being forced upon us. Recently they even brought in another male character who was locking lips with Sonny — just another thing to zip through. I really feel sorry for the guy that plays Will’s character. I really think he is a great actor and, while it may seem adventurous to play this character now, — how will they ever make him “un-gay” consequently making him typecast on Days from now on? I just hate that for him because it really narrows any story lines for him in the future.

I have been wathing this show since Sami first came on it. I have love all the episodes except hen Bo left hope you bring him back. I am notin agreement with the Will and Sonny part at all it’s one thing to admit that you are gay but what they have had to act out on national TV is discusting. I think it’s not necessary for the kissing and the love making scenes. I have to turn the channel everytime is this what you have become you were the best Daytime show next to Young and the Restless your Fans are sick of it as well we time to go bring Bo back with his wife and daughter in forget where this is heading.

Its the only reason I watch. If the Will and Sonny storyline is ever abandoned I’d stop watching in a heartbeat. Some of the comments on here just sicken me. Its a beautiful well thought out story line as for the kissing and sex scenes you see less with them then you do with couples like EJami. So there is no room to complain from people. .

I started watching DOOL on Youtube as i am from India… And what attracted me most to Will and Sonny’s storyline is the never ending courage faith and undying love which exists between the two… I really love them both and learn a lot from them………

I never really watched Days of Our Lives but I did see pieces of it when I’d spend time with my grandmother. I could understand why she liked it but I always found the drama contrived, the characters really shallow and never likable enough to sit through their overblown problems. However, with all that said, I absolutely love WilSon. They have such a beautiful and genuine relationship that’s worth watching. The fact that the characters are the same gender adds a refeshing dynamic to the romantic aspect. The writing is amazing and the actors do a spectacular job at portraying the characters. I’m a straight person that has absolutely nothing against the subject and am a romantic sucker. Soaps to me have always been a form of media that’s meant to resemble real life, so it makes sense that they would have a homosexual relationship. Those who want to bitch and rant about how it’s disguisting or morally wrong, get over yourselves.

I have watched DOOL for many years now and I agree 100% that this wonderful show should cut out all this disgusting gay porn. We should demand that the writers should only show us good Biblical values on a daytime drama. Stop anything that is not condoned by the Catholic church, which is the religion of the patriarchs of the main families on this show.
WELL, if those views were to be followed all the good storylines you all loved from the past would also be banned. The show would end up being 3 minutes long every day. Yes Gay love is horrific and pornographic, so much worse than the good wholesome acts like murder, rape, adultery, stealing, lying, kidnapping, assault, mutilation, fraud and just plain old disseat. Obviously, two people showing each other love and tenderness is something no one should have to witness, especially children. It’s much better they learn that human life is of little value, just like the three young men in Oklahoma that killed another young man because they were bored.
GIVE ME A BREAK. Many of the people commenting that Will & Sonny being together is disgusting should take a good hard look at what they say are the “good old storylines”. I knew I should not read the comments here, hateful, degrading, homophobic people are what is disgusting.

Hello, I live in Italy. I wanted to tell you that you’re really lucky to be able to see on television love stories like this. Here it is not possible. A national TV channel tried to send a series like this, but the program was suspended because a right-wing politician said that gay sex is shameful and the director of the network has been suspended from his post. Love is one and use religion as an excuse to hate is not right

I have been sucked into the world of Days of Our Lives becasue of Will and Sonny. I am so thrilled to see a heathly gay couple that is in love with each other. Kudos to the actors and the writers for this wonderful story line. I hope they keep them together for a long time.

I have watched Days since it’s beginning. McDonald Cary would put his own show off the air if he could view this SICK and disgusting gay thing! Soaps have always had somewhat sleezy reputations–you have gone way past sleezy! At least bring this story line back up to the sleezy level. Not all viewers are twisted

I don’t care if they have a gay storyline, but those slobbery sex scenes are disgusting. I’ve started taping the show so I can fast forward through anything with Sonny and Will. Please give us a break!!! I’m a 71 yr old woman and I can’t take it much more. After 40 years of DOOL being my favorite and ONLY soap, I’m about to Quit!!!

Love Sonny and Will together. They are love on the show and does it matter that they are guy? This is 2014 DOOL is just giving us the real world. I agree things should be spiced up in other areas…Bo needs to come back, Hope needs him. Brady is old news for now…and a hate Theresa. Nicole and Eric good romance…make it happen. Nick will come back from the DEAD!!!!! Doubt that…..but something is cooking. Gabi is leaving the show very soon……Regardless “Days” is still my soap….DVR everyday!!
