I’ve been watching DOOL since day 1 and the closest thing they have ever done to give me pause for thoughts of dropping it is force feeding us this Will/Sonny story line. Let’s get back to more adventure, action and mystery and out of everyone’s bedroom.
I have been a “days” fan since the beginning…but the “in your face” with the gay men has turned me off !!! I will no longer be watching !
Thank goodness for DVR fast forward..Otherwise, I would not be watching at all. I too agree the in your face gay role is not what I think most stay at home moms want to watch. Have them leave and bring Bo back. When is my hunk tall dark and handsome coming back?
Oh yeah, how terrible that two people love each other! Can’t believe they would show a healthy relationship on my screen! The horror! And yet, watching rapes, blackmails and murders is just fine! It’s disgusting how many homophobic comments I see on this board, but it’s acceptable for EJami to be together, despite Sami being raped by EJ, or EJ being shot in the head by Sami. Disgusting.
The most authentic, loving relationship on Days. There is a reason for an uptick in ratings. Never thought I would see the day when realistic stories would be told on this show.
Jane, I completely agree, this is the healthiest and most realistic relationship on the soap right now. It just sucks that the baby drama interfered and split them up, but I think they’ll be back together in no time.
Will and Sonny is one of the most real and beautiful love stories this show has ever showed. I am enjoying the baby story because it is showing that Will and Sonny can have stories just like all couples. I am even enjoying Brian because again we are seeing real emotions come into play for Will and Sonny. I give so much credit to the writers and the actors for not caving to some homophobic view points and instead allowing us to see a real love story play out.
So glad we’re seeing the Will and Sonny story on Days, never have I seen such a well written/portrayed gay couple on a soap, it’s so so great to see Days has moved forward and is portraying something that is real and is going on every day all over the world, face it people, we’re in a world where there are straight people, gay people, bisexual people, any other type of person and all these people are EQUAL, and Days Of Our Lives is just backing up that point. Bravo to Days, and Bravo to Chandler Massey and Freddie Smith for portraying these two guys in love with such real emotion and passion.
The Sonny\Brian kiss on today’s episode was the hottest kiss on this show in ages. It certainly was hotter than that Sami\EJ and Jennifer\Daniel macking we saw today. Even the brief bed scene between those two guys was as hot as a raging inferno. I applaud Days for going there and accurately portrarying the gay characters as sexual beings just like the straight characters. I guess it is pretty easy to do with guys that look like Sonny, Brian and Will. While Sonny and Will are going to find their way back to each other, I sure don’t mind Sonny’s pit stop with Brian. This is a great soap story. I’ll take more of this hotness among these guys as it is the best current story and the best current romance on Days by a wide margin.

You all need to grow up and deal with gay sex. Wilson is just the beginning gays have tolerated straight sex on soaps for decades. I don’t use God as an excuse saying that it’s wrong. No one knows God personally it’s all opinion and being a gay Catholic the first rule is don’t judge that’s his Job now think about that why do u think he made this rule. Maybe because he is the Creator of life and new this would happen so just grow the hell up And find a way to deal with it! Like it or not we our bigger community then you think and we our coming out and living our lives so we can follow our hearts and be happy in love life and spirituality.

I’d rather watch Will and Sonny, who are beautiful and adorable, or even Sonny and Brian, who were hot together despite Brian being a player…a thousand times over rather than Dr. Tan and Jennifer. So boring. Love is love. The gender doesn’t matter. Will and Sonny have the best storyline of the whole show and I”m hoping Days does the right thing in showing a modern definition of what a family is.

I love Will and Sonny together! They have a great relationship built off of a strong friendship — what’s not to love about that? I’m sad to see that they are having trouble right now but I sure hope it doesn’t last too long. When Will and Sonny are together they definitely electrify and are one of the best relationships Days Of Our Lives has ever created — and I’ve been watching for many years now!
I love the Will and Sonny storyline. Not so sure about the Will and Gabi drama as it was a bit far fetched in the beginning, but I think I know the story they’re going for. More to do about what exactly a family is, whether two men or two women can be parents.

I love Will and Sonny’s (& Brian’) story. I’m a stay at home mum (Australia) and watching this love story is just beautiful. I thank DOOL writers. I think for homophobia to stop, it needs to start at home. Parents. My kids are not phased by 2 men/women kissing on screen or off screen, but neither are my husband and I.

The build-up to the WilSon romance wasn’t so well done I thought. It was choppy and there wasn’t much angst, drama or longing. But since becoming a couple, the writing has been fantastic and I’m rooting for them all the way!!! Who can’t help fall for a classic love story?
And I’m also glad NBC isn’t caving to homophobic reactions.

Days of Our Lives is not one I keep up with, but I was in the doctor’s office waiting room filled with both men and women. Well, how surprised we all were to look up and see 2 young men making out/kissing on TV….even more surprised to realize this was a soap opera….we thought it was an X-rated cable channel.
Just because gays can marry in some states, we get this kind of thing on the regular channels?
I can tell you the comments in that office were not favorble, but a lot of people did start laughing.

No, it’s not getting bad with a lot of the cast, and most people don’t mind seeing it on the soap. If anything was ruining Days, it’s the Sami triangle and Dannifer.
I think Will and sonny are great! they kiss with such passion..not like dan and jen . I love that Days finally got up to speed on the show. I love when they are on. Kudos Boyz! I love u both!

I’m 55 years old and happily married to my husband, and I have 3 beautiful children and soon to be 4 beautiful grandchildren. I’m not gay, and I don’t presume to understand being gay. I do think that attitudes are changing such that people are finally beginning to understand that each person is responsible for themselves and their choices, but those choices don’t make them bad people, and it sure doesn’t mean God doesn’t love them. God loves everybody (at least that’s what I think).
I think Sami has made some awful choices–and continues to do so. She needs to remember who was there for her when her baby died (well, okay, it wasn’t really hers, but she didn’t know that). I like EJ as much as anybody, but the fact of the matter is–no matter what–you don’t rape someone then shoot them in the head then declare you love them. Sami seriously needs some counseling, big time. I am hoping that a new psychiatrist will be coming to town to help deal with Sami and her issues. Would be nice if she would get straightened out and she and Rafe could get back together.
And hey, while we’re at it–could Days PLEASE get a lasting love interest for Lucas? Bryan Dattilo is a phenomenal actor, and I want him to stay around!!!!
Get rid of Chloe and let Jennifer and Daniel be the new “Dr. and Mrs. Horton” (so to speak) that everyone can love.

I have never been so disgusted and sickened as the gay (use to be a wonderful word) storyline. I have a DVR and quickly get through all scenes related to homosexuality. I have watched DOOL since the very first show and have delighted in the family relationships and story lines but the writers have given it all away with their unstopping garbage. If they continue in this direction I’m gone and away. I’ll miss the old DOOL as it was clean with fun, scary, frightning story lines but this is deranged. Homosexuality is a choice…one is not born that way. It is a mistake. Man is by God and God makes no mistakes. Writers, get off your liberal bent and bring back values and morals.Shame on you all for making a mokery of DOOL!!!!!
Have been watching Days since it started over 45 years. I think you have gone too far with Sonny & Will. I have nothing against gay people,, in fact, I have a gay cousin. The movie “Broke Back Mountain” didn’t show what we have to D VR out.
I am a straight woman with children and I think the Wll and Sonny love story is hands down the best story DAYS has done in a few years. They took their time and fell in real romantic love.
I can’t believe that people who have no trouble watching rape and murder on the same show object to seeing two actors portraying two people in love kissing.
Hopefully the increased ratings lately show that most viewers are not prejudiced.

Now I get the news of what’s going on from my neighbor – I can’t watch the perverted and unnatural lifestye of Will & Sonny. There are many more who have always watched Days and the love story has changed their views on gay relationships. It’s a beautiful love story and I hope Days makes them a super-couple. Thank you writers for making such a realistic story and to Freddie Smith and Chandler Massey for the awesome acting that’s made so many fall in love with them.

I have watched days for over 26 yrs. I am a married working mother of 2. I love Will and Sonny!! I was at first uncomfortable with the idea of a same sex couple but Days made me see that they r real people with real feeling who just want to find love. So I kept an open mind about the s/l and I love Will and Sonny. Chandler and Freddie r both amazing and Days has done a great job telling the love story. Not gay story and love story. I am proud of Days. Now we just need them back together and Brain gone. I miss Will and Sonny together.

I’ve watched Days from nearly the beginning, I’ve seen the generations grow and many of the stories have been really amoral in terms of sex and how mean some of the characters have and continue to be to each other. There has been crime accepted as story, a lot of those have turned into fine stories regards redemption. The really mean things that family and friends have done to each other over the years has been acceptable story so what’s up with the outcry about this story line?
By the way, I had left the daily watching of Days as it got boringly the same thing over and over. I would check in now and then to see what’s up and recently found this Will and Sonny story. I applaud it for several reasons: these are characters whose birth and growing up was during my time watching, the writing has been real and taken the time to show how people come to know such things about themselves and go on to include family and friends.
I think using Will as the main character and then Sonny was a stroke of genius. It’s interesting to me what an outcry there is against this story line while we’ve had the beloved Marlena the devil come to earth., and the many back stabbing under handed sex stories of all of the other characters except the elder Bradys. Times they are a changing and I like that DOOL is changing with them. Thank you, good job and please continue without being pressured by bigots into leaving this type of story. Certainly not telling it will make it go away.
I watch Days Of Our Lives FOR the Will and Sonny storyline. I can’t believe some of the bigotry and hate comments that the show is getting. A major piece of soap operas have been the couples they showcase, and Days is taking a huge step forward with the WilSon storyline. And in my opinion, they are doing an absolutely FANTASTIC job portraying a relationship.
That is correct ladies and gents, a relationship. Not a “gay” relationship, just a normal loving relationship between two people. Because that is what it really boils down to. We all experience love in the same way as an emotion. It’s that feeling that we get when we are around the person we want to be with for the rest of our lives.
The on screen chemistry between these two is phenomenal, and it’s their storyline that will have me continuing to watch Days Of Our Lives. Keep up the great work NBC Days!

I’ve watched Days since the 80′s. I stopped for awhile but I came back when I saw Will and Sonny’s story. It’s great if you ask me. It’s not just a gay love story, it’s just a love story. And honestly, I rather watch them than Sami falling in love with her rapist / shooting him in the head but she loves him, or Marlena getting possessed or Stefanos death for billionth time. And I thought Days was rated TV-14, why would you let your children watch this if they’re underage? Gay people are everywhere and I don’t see a problem with them being represented on a daytime soap.

The Wilson story is the best thing thay Days has ever done. Will and Sonny were the reason I started to watch days straight again. I had watched it on and off since I was a teenager. I loved the way Will was in so much pain and confusion but thankfully he had this friend who was gay and was comfortable letting people know this. Will and Sonny started out as buddies who grew really close because they shared such intense experiences that created a close bond. There friendship developed into a romantic attraction for each other.It’s a beautiful epic love story that rivals a lot of couples we see on our movie screens today! Days is really fortunate that they have two talented and beautiful guys that captivate their loyal fans to keep rooting for them to become the ultimate super couple. Days is showing a couple in love its only ground breaking because it is with two people of the same sex.Big deal a LOVE STORY!
i’m not really a soap opera fan just never been my cup of tea but because i love the will and sonny storyline so much, i’ve started tuning into days of our lays and i gotta say i’m loving the way their treating this storyline, they don’t just treat will and sonny like the “gay couple”, they treat them like any other couple falling in love on the show and they don’t shy away with this couple either, they get affectionate, loving, and intimate scenes just like everyone else and i think its remarkable, usually gay couples are the backstory and don’t get much screentime and any type of affection that ndicate their a couple, forget about it but not on days and that’s what i love about it and i hope they continue this way with this couple cause i’d eventually like to see them become a supercouple, which would be great, freddie and chandler have done such a fantastic job portraying these characters and storyline and everyone involved, i will always show my love and support for this couple as long as their own this show

The WilSon storyline is my favorite. I hadn’t watched Days in years & now I’m completely hooked.
Will and Sonny are the reason I watch DOOL!!! I love this couple and their love story, and I couldn’t be more thrilled that Days is treating them like any other couple. After all, they are two human beings in love, plain and simple! There is absolutely NO reason why we should not see them express that love through touching, kissing, and yes….sex! Thanks to the talents (and fantastic chemistry) of Freddie Smith and Chandler Massey, these two are a joy to watch, and their intimate scenes are especially beautiful and romantic! WilSon are my absolute favorite couple on the show, and I can’t wait for more of their amazing romance!

If we want our soaps to survive, we have to keep stories fresh and current…and we need to build broader audiences. Doing a sweet (but still hot) romance between young legacy characters is a great way to move soaps forward and bring in more eyes. Days is doing this just right, and it can only benefit the show…and that, long term, will benefit the fans.
Also, everyone’s beloved characters are played by beloved actors…and almost every actor on Days has mentioned somewhere or another that they love the storyline, the characters and that actors…so again…that’s win-win.
Will and Sonny storyline is what brought me to DOOL and I am officially hooked. I love the fact that this is a “love story” – does not matter if it is two guys or two girls or a girl/guy relationship – the main focus is LOVE. I applaud Days as well for showing such a realistic storyline for once as well. It is real, true, authentic and shows two people in love but are having the same things happen as every other couple on there.
This storyline was my reason for coming back to Days after years of not watching it. I hope Days continues with it and takes in a very positive direction in the future. This is the most powerful and loving gay couple any daytime soap has ever had.
I do believe Daya knows better than to bend to the pressure of a few upset and bigoted people because this storyline had brought them up in the ratings, won them awards and has stirred up lots of dialogue, both good and bad about homosexuals.
It is high time we are given such a storyline as this on daytime and I can’t wait for what I think is to come for Will and Sonny.

I refuse to defend my love of watching two people that are in love. I will however preach about how much I love Will and Sonny. I am a straight female that had stopped watching this show. It was because of Will and Sonny that I started watching again. I think it’s incredible how they started off as friends almost two years ago and have developed into a couple that is more believable and true than most other soap couples today. The entire show and most especially Freddie Smith and Chandler Massey should be applauded for not being afraid to tell it how it is. This story isn’t about two two gay men that are in love. It is about two people that are in love expressing that love. I can’t wait to watch their relationship grow even deeper. Love is love and not defined by whom a person falls in love with.
WILSON is probably one of the best things that has ever happened to this show. POINT BLANK PERIOD!!

Well let me start off by stating my age. I am 17 years old. I know, I know I’m super to be invested in a soap. The reason? The Will/Sonny storyline. No, I am not calling it the gay story cause its not, it’s a love story between two people who happen to be guys. I used to watch days off and on with my grandma but now it’s become a regular show of mine. All because I got sucked into this incredible and amazing story that touches upon a subject that seems to be very controversial for some viewers. And I respect the opinions of others, but what I will not accept is people hating on the lgbt community, saying that its a sin or what not. That’s disrespectful to be honest.
Anyways, I absolutely love the romance between Will and Sonny. You should all see me on twitter (some of you have already lol) when Wilson is mentioned. I get all excited for spoilers, emotional for the bad ones and happy for the good ones. I just love these two together. And Freddie Smith and Chandler Massey are outstanding actors and deserve to be commended for their hard work and dedication.

Has the world seriously come to this? We have however gotten very far. Proof: this storyline. Days is pushing the boundaries of conservatism and I love it. I love the Wilson storyline. Because to be honest if it wasn’t for Wilson. I wouldn’t be watching because I wasn’t a fan of Days of our lives but because of them I decided to give it a try. And I have to say that I am so glad I stumbled across this couple. I would’ve never know or see how realistic this storyline is. And I agree it is not just a gay love story, it is a just a regular love story. I love the fact that the writers didn’t just throw them together. that they were friends for a year and a half to becoming a couple. I hope that these two will be reunited soon because I love this couple so much.

Okay seriously guys, there’s always been romances in every Soap Opera and also in Days and if one of the romances is gay romance why can’t you accept that natural and beautiful thing? You can’t choose who you are, you can’t change it! Think that if you were born as ‘gay’ and you’d struggle months, and in many cases MANY MANY YEARS. It’s so wrong that we have to struggle about WHO WE ARE! People are over the world literally fighting against community. Still, we’re living 2013 and there’s too little acceptable persons and who don’t care who do you love, because that doesn’t matter at all, LOVE IS ALL THAT’S MATTERS! I really truly do not understand WHY there is still to this day so much hatred being spread by something so harmless. What Will and Sonny have is so rare and yet people are willing to put it down. It does not affect their lives. By calling it “disgusting” “gross” and even ” sick” is just not right? I don’t get how they can turn a blind eye to everything else happening on Days and yet get all upset over something so simple and yet so honest. How some adults are letting their children sit and watch a day time adult program is beyond me. Should those kids maybe be outside playing or at school? There is NOTHING and I repeat NOTHING that is being forced down your throats or into your faces by what Days is doing for the Will and Sonny story line. You all seem to have no issues with Sami going back and forth with her men. Or Brady banging for several days what would have been his Dad’s wife. Or other characters getting pregnant or sleeping around with someone else. How can you all be ok with all of that and yet get in an uproar over to adults having feeling for each other and falling in love?

I could only suffer through so many homophobic comments, so I couldn’t bring myself to read many of the opinions on this page. Though I do find it “funny” that people watching a SOAP OPERA–i.e. a show built on murder, adultery, lies, cheating, stealing, etc.–feel such righteous indignation over a love story between two young men. Anyway…I still just wanted to make sure to voice my LOVE of the Will/Sonny storyline. I have watched DAYS on/off for over 20 years, and this storyline brought me back to the show after several years of not watching. Can’t say I adore the Gabi/pregnancy ‘twist’ but if it gives them front burner action for a while, then I’m all for it.

I’m new to DOOL and the reason I started watching was because I saw the TV Guide special on Will and Sonny’s first kiss. How wonderful that they are portraying REAL LIFE! I’m proud to be part of a generation that not only approves but has begun to DEMAND equal rights for all.Those of you that are disgusted by it, need to open your eyes and see LOVE IS LOVE – acceptance will make you a better person. Those that use God as an excuse to believe it is wrong, should also remember that you will be judged as you have judged.
I have watched DOOL since 1980, but Iately have seriously thought I may stop watching it. I agree with what a lot of others have said — thank goodness for the fast forward on my DVR. Just because homosexuality goes on in the world doesn’t mean I want to watch it. None of the other Soaps portray homosexuality so “in your face” — for good reason. For those that mention people watching murder, rape, etc. I don’t care to watch that either. It’s amazing that these actors (who I assume are NOT gay) would be all right with these roles as they are so convincing maybe people will think they are gay. I know there are viewers that will say what about gay actors that portray “straight” roles — those are not convincing to me either. I just can’t imagine this storyline going on and on. Where could it go from here? Will’s character (which I really liked before) will now be “pigeonholed” in this role. I will just keep fast-forwarding through these scenes that are even racier than prime-time.

I have been watching Days for years and have never had anything turn my stomach like the story line of of two gay guys!!!! Whenever they show them together i have to turn the channel!!!! It makes me sick……people have their own opinions but it still only comes down to one true fact….IT IS AN ABOMINATION TO GOD!!!!! I dont think this garbage should be on tv at all especially on daytime!!!! Its not fair to us big time Days fans to be forced to have this on our favorite soap. Whats next …??? I am a straight married 32 year old women that has watched dool since I was a kid and I love this story of Wilson. The best love story they have had for years on the show. It shows so much love. I am so surprised how many people out there are so mean and still say thing like those gays….. I don’t know how u sleep at night!!! I don’t know how u look at yourself in the mirror and think u are a good person. This story line as brought a lot of people back to dool or brought in all new people to watch. Days of our lives does not care about the ten people that still live in the stone age l.
The WilSon storyline is the best thing to happen to Days of Our Lives in many years! Ratings have increased and it has brought many viewers back to this grand old Soap! Without fresh interesting stories like this Days will go the way that many others have gone…. into cancellation!! All of you haters need to go watch a boring talk show or game show if it bothers you so much! I came back to Days and started watching again just because they started this storyline!! Without it it would have been the same old tired rehash and rehash of worn out reruns of storylines that have been done for decades! NO WAY am I watching a rapist and his victim paired together, now WAY! My grandma stopped matching the show because of EJami. We, along with many other fans, are boycotting the soap till they get those two broken up for good! As for WilSon, for sure the best couple on the soap! They need to be reunited pronto!
I’ve been a loyal Y&R viewer for over 30 years. Never once watched DOOL. Then I heard about Will & Sonny from a friend, and searched Google to find excerpts.
Now I DVR the DOOL, because it overlaps with Y&R. And rather than fast forward through the Will & Sonny scenes, I fast forward to get to them. It’s the best and most realistic love story on TV right now. I hope it ends well for the two guys.
I think we all should shout up about Will & Sony. This is a fact of life. More and more gays are out there. Not just Will & sony but in real life. It dose not bother me becouse I have 2 gay friend and they are together for ever. I am not gay I have been maried to my husbend Tom for 28 years. gay’s don’t bother me. I just read on this site that Will and Sonny are going to “get back together”, (shocker!) Again, I reiterate that I will be fast-forwarding through their scenes. It’s not that I am homophobic — people should be able to make their own choices (and suffer the consequences), but I am sick of this story line being forced upon us. Recently they even brought in another male character who was locking lips with Sonny — just another thing to zip through. I really feel sorry for the guy that plays Will’s character. I really think he is a great actor and, while it may seem adventurous to play this character now, — how will they ever make him “un-gay” consequently making him typecast on Days from now on? I just hate that for him because it really narrows any story lines for him in the future.
I have been wathing this show since Sami first came on it. I have love all the episodes except hen Bo left hope you bring him back. I am notin agreement with the Will and Sonny part at all it’s one thing to admit that you are gay but what they have had to act out on national TV is discusting. I think it’s not necessary for the kissing and the love making scenes.
