At the Kiriakis mansion, Philip and Victor discuss how John is getting to be a thorn in their side. Philip tells Chloe how lovely she looks when she emerges. Victor is happy to see Chelsea and sits her down at the table. She tells her grandpa that he doesn’t need to fuss over her. Victor raves how wonderful it is to have such a lovely young woman brightening up his house. Daniel soon arrives. He and Philip exchange greetings before a smiling Chloe introduces herself to the handsome doctor. Chelsea is beaming at the sight of Daniel.

Daniel and Chelsea later remark how wonderful the hors d’oeuvres were. Henderson announces that Victor selected the menu especially for Dr. Jonas. Victor proposes that they start celebrating with some champagne. Chelsea declines, but Chloe admits she’d kill for champagne. Victor proposes a toast to the extraordinary guests, including Philip, Chelsea, and Daniel. Chloe makes a toast to herself. Henderson excuses himself to answer the doorbell. Victor grumbles how he hates being interrupted during an important meal, especially one as important as this one. Kate crashes the party and is delighted to see that Chelsea’s better and getting her color back. Victor invites her to stay for dinner, but Kate doesn’t want to impose. Chelsea, Daniel, and Philip twist her arm, so Kate relents and sits next to Chloe. Victor announces that they are celebrating Philip’s excellent handling of Kiriakis shipping, Bo’s and Chelsea’s recoveries, and Daniel’s surgical skills and diagnostic expertise. “And me for just being me,” adds Chloe as she downs her glass of champagne.

Kate later mentions how fabulous the salad was, which Daniel agrees with. They all make a toast to Victor, except for Chloe. The main entree reminds Daniel of a dish he had in Italy, where he got called in on a difficult case in which a wealthy family’s daughter got progressively sick, but no-one could figure out why. “Did you cure her?” asks a googly-eyed Chelsea. Victor says of course he did. Kate makes a toast to the knight in shining armor. Daniel isn’t sure about the armor, but says he’s good to go with some surf shorts. Chloe requests another pour from Henderson. Kate questions Daniel about the delicious wines he must’ve sampled in Europe. Daniel praises the amazing wine, delicious food, and “wicked, wicked surf in France.” Kate compliments Victor on the food, but says she needs to stop or there goes her body. “Looks like you have no worries with that body,” notes Daniel. Victor agrees with Daniel but requests that she save room for dessert, as the cook made something very special for Chelsea. Kate remarks how good it is to see her granddaughter relaxed and smiling again. “Well, that would be because of this guy,” smiles Chelsea to Daniel. Chelsea thanks her grandpa and says she hasn’t been this happy in a long time. Philip remarks how great it is having all this family under one roof. “Yeah, we’re a regular ‘Little House on the Prairie,’” quips Chloe.

Henderson later serves them dessert and red wine. Daniel compliments Victor on the combination, since red wine and dark chocolate have potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Kate and Chloe are up for the red wine. “And then the consequences,” responds Victor as he glares at Chloe. Daniel then confesses that he attended one of Chloe’s performances in Vienna when he was there for a seminar. Chloe confirms she was doing [iThe Magic Flute there. Daniel admits that he’s not a big opera buff but praises Chloe on her performance. Chloe notes that it’s nice to hear a compliment for a change. Daniel recalls that she was the talk of Vienna. “They haven’t stopped talking yet,” mutters Victor. This infuriates Chloe, who excuses herself from the table. Philip follows her.

Chloe sits on the stairwell and flashes back to telling Philip that the local opera company didn’t want her due to her notorious but untrue reputation in Austria. Philip brings her back to reality and advises her not to let his dad get to her. He tries to assure an upset Chloe that Victor won’t stop digging until they find Brady. Chloe complains how she’s sick of having her name dragged through the mud and just wants her life back. Philip tries to assure her that she will sing again and asks what he can do to make things better. “Well for starters you can have your father apologize to me,” suggests Chloe. Philip wonders if she’s kidding, but Chloe affirms that she wants one.

Back at the dinner table, Victor asks everyone to forgive his little outburst and admits that Chloe’s presence is irritating to him. Kate understands his short temper with Chloe, but warns him that if he continues to insult her, he’ll drive Chloe right into Philip’s arms. Meanwhile, Chelsea brings Daniel up to speed on her family tree. Daniel is lost and believes he’ll have to meditate on this one. “Actually medicate,” he corrects himself as Chelsea laughs.

Daniel later shares his amazement to Victor at how his family tree has so many tentacles. He notes how well Victor and Kate get along, especially considering that they’re exes. Kate admits that they’ve had their ups and downs, but they try to keep Philip and Chelsea’s best interests at heart. She wants to discuss something with Victor, but suggests that perhaps it can wait. “A wise man knows when to apologize,” implies Kate when Philip and Chloe emerge. Victor apologizes to Chloe for marrying his grandson, for the fact that Brady’s missing, and for making her feel that she’s responsible. “You call that an apology?” yells a bewildered Chloe. The doorbell rings. “Oh, good God, now what? Is it too much to ask for a little peace and quiet? That’s all I want!” rants Victor. Chloe and Victor argue back and forth as Victor refuses to be insulted. Philip tells everyone to calm down. “Everybody sit down and shut up!” demands Victor. “Don’t tell me to shut up!” warns Chloe. “I said I want peace in this family and I’m going to get it!” shouts Victor. Nicole Walker then waltzes right in carrying her dog Pookie. She notes that she’s missed dinner, so she’ll just have to settle for drinks. The look on Victor's face is priceless.
