After Chelsea exits, Bo confronts Daniel about Chelsea’s crush on him, noting that Chelsea has all the symptoms. Daniel believes that Bo’s becoming delusional and refers to his doctor/patient relationship with Chelsea as “comfortable.” Bo questions when he can get out of there. Daniel previews that Bo has a long way to go and wonders if he has a big date. Bo jokes how he’s enjoyed their time together, but would rather go home to his wife. Daniel refers to Hope as a special lady and one who’s smokin’ hot. He tells Bo that he can be released in a few weeks and warns Bo that if he doesn’t allow his body time to heal, he can have some serious setbacks.
Daniel exits Bo’s room and tells Chelsea that she can go back in now. A starry-eyed Chelsea asks if her dad’s okay. Daniel says Bo is fine, he just needs to chill out. Chelsea agrees and asks if he has a lot more work to do. Daniel wants to wrap things up and head out to the coffeehouse, then asks her if she has any recommendations. Chelsea mentions the Java Café, then stammers before she offers to take him there. Daniel agrees to ditch his lab coat and meet him right back there. A beaming Chelsea flashes back to when she first met Daniel in the park.
Chelsea later notices that she’s getting a fever and hopes she’s not getting the flu. Daniel emerges ready to go, emphasizing how they are getting to be good friends. Chelsea confirms this and states that anything more might make her boyfriend a little jealous.
Caroline later visits Bo and relays how Chelsea mentioned that he stirred up some drama last night. Bo blows if off as no big deal and claims he just misses his family. Bo thanks her for bringing Ciara in. Caroline mentions how Ciara is missing her mommy and questions where Hope is. Bo reveals that Hope’s in danger, but they can’t tell Abe or Roman about it and implores his mom to trust him. “You’ve also gotta find a way to get me out of here,” urges Bo.
At Ava’s compound, Angelo brings Steve to Ava’s room with Hope, who asks what happened with dinner last night. Steve reveals that he was taken to his room and “cousin muscles” came by and said that Ava passed out. Hope is surprised by this, since Ava was looking forward to spending time with Steve. Steve surmises that it was due to the medication she took. Hope relays how Angelo said it was Steve’s fault, which infuriates Steve. Ava enters and questions what the lovebirds were chatting about. Steve and Hope stage an argument, in which Steve claims that “Kayla” is jealous. Hope accuses Ava of not being able to keep her hands off of Steve and calls her a tramp. Steve tells Hope not to talk to Ava like that. Hope accuses Steve of defending Ava and demands to know what happened between the exes last night. Ava suggests that she and “Kayla” have a little discussion.
Ava brings a tray of food for Hope and insists that she needs to eat something for her baby. Hope demands to know what happened between her and Steve last night. Ava claims they made love. Hope plays along and wonders how Steve could do this to her, since she’s carrying his baby. “I warned you that he was still in love with me,” responds a delusional Ava. Ava concocts a story about having a couple of drinks before Steve warmed up to her. Hope starts laughing since Ava had to get him drunk. She continues to play along and surmises that Steve still has feelings for Ava. “Well of course he does, otherwise he wouldn’t have made love to me,” smiles Ava. Hope tells her not to rub it in and refers to the whole plot as sick and dysfunctional. Hope whines how she deserves better than this and declares that she doesn’t want anything to do with that “bastard.”
Steve re-enters the room and asks if the two ladies enjoyed their little talk. Hope responds by slapping him and confronts him about having sex with Ava last night. Steve plays along and says that Ava’s lying, but Hope pretends to not believe him. “Kayla” accuses Steve of having feelings for Ava. Angelo enters, where Ava informs him of Patch’s undying love for her. Steve’s cell phone then rings. Angelo hangs it up and claims it’s just a number. Steve informs him that his brother-in-law is really sick, so he should’ve allowed him to answer. Ava whips out a gun when Steve’s phone rings again and allows him to answer, but warns him that “Kayla” will pay if he tries anything. Steve answers it to the real Kayla, who demands to know what the hell’s going on.
Victor enters Marlena’s office for a therapy session. Marlena asks what’s on his mind. Victor declares that his life is a complete disaster and fears he’s on the verge of losing his mind. He states how Brady’s still missing. Marlena says she calls Roman every day to see if there’s any word from the Austrian authorities. He rants how it’s worse having Brady’s wife living under his roof and fears that she’s setting his sights on Philip. He then reveals that Nicole Walker has moved into his house and they’re still married. Marlena is stunned and surmises that it must be awkward. “The woman tried to have me killed! More than awkward!” he exclaims. Victor affirms that his lawyers are working to rectify the situation, but in the meantime he’s forced to allow her to invade his home. He states that on a positive note, Nicole and Chloe are mortal enemies and with any luck it’s just a matter of time before they kill each other.
Marlena wonders if he wants to talk about something else. An apprehensive Victor doesn’t think it’s appropriate on his particular subject. Marlena assures him that they can discuss anything and it’s held confidential. Victor brings up John and admits that John has become his rival, so it would be wise for him to be cautious and believes he should take things one step at a time.
