Biography:

Peter initially made his daytime debut as Eric Hollister on As the World Turns from 1980-1982. He then emerged onto the DAYS scene as handsome rebel Bo Brady, complete with a motorcycle, long hair, an earring, and tattoo. He forever changed the characterization for a daytime hero. Peter and his on-screen wife, Kristian Alfonso (Hope), have been recognized as one of daytime’s most popular supercouples in the history of soaps.

During his 1987-1990 absence from DAYS, he had a role on the nighttime drama Knots Landing as Johnny Rourke, where he donned an Irish accent. While on the show, TV Guide named Peter and Nicolette Sheridan the “sexiest couple in a night-time series.”

In addition to his acting talents, Peter is also a talented musician, who built theater sets, performed in the chorus, and became a theater technical director in junior high school. He continued to perform in numerous plays in high school. In order to support himself through college, Peter held a job as a singing waiter. After graduation, he moved to New York City in order to promote his music career.

Peter is an active environmentalist who rides his bicycle to work 9 miles most days. Additionally, he drives an electric car. He often goes mountain bike riding and camping with friend Mark Valley (ex-Jack Devereaux, DAYS). In order to stay fit, Peter engages in yoga, pilates, and martial-arts. Peter is a co-owner of the Evolve Indoor Training Center in La Jolla, California, where he often leads classes as a certified spinning instructor.
