A shivering Bo wakes up, but Hope tries to coax him back to sleep. He recounts the recent dream he had in which he and Pop were out fishing and a storm was coming, but suddenly Pop wasn’t there. Bo cries how he’ll really miss him as Hope lovingly comforts him. She admits that she’s glad he told her about his illness and assures him that they’re always there for each other. They lovingly share a kiss.

At the police station, Abe has just informed Max, Roman, Chelsea and Stephanie that the FAA hasn’t been able to make contact with John’s plane. Steph tells the others that they shouldn’t jump to conclusions. Max wonders if they know the exact location of the crash site, but Abe says not yet. Steph comforts Max as he desponds how half his family is on that plane. (Doesn’t he mean ourfamily)? Chelsea relays how Abe mentioned that the plane was somewhere over Greenland, so they probably landed there. “You know they didn’t land, Chels,” clarifies Max. Chelsea goes off on Max, who claims he’s just frustrated. He proceeds to call his mom. Roman proceeds to call the FAA. A concerned Lexie mentions to Abe how terrible it is that some of their best friends are on that plane. Abe hugs her and tries to assure her that their friends will make it. “Yeah, but some are stronger than others,” desponds Lexie as she thinks of Bo.

After Roman’s phone call, he reveals that the search planes are still out but won’t be able to oversee anything until tomorrow morning. Lexie frets that tomorrow could be too late. Roman loses his temper over not being able to do anything more. Abe tries to console his partner. Roman yells how it’s not Abe’s family on the plane. Abe reminds Roman that the people on John’s plane are like family to him, though. He reminds Roman that Bo, Hope, and John are trained to survive in these types of situations.

Caroline later arrives and recalls how she gave Shawn Sr. a St. Christopher medal before he left. “Patron Saint of travelers,” states Roman. Caroline laughs how the silly man didn’t want to take it. Max predicts that Shawn’s probably helping people finding food and building shelters right now. Caroline remarks how Shawn’s not as strong as he used to be and hopes that he made peace with his sister Colleen. Roman predicts that knowing Pop, he can’t wait to tell them the story over a bowl of chowder and a pint.

Victor and Kate arrive at the station, where Abe informs them that the plane could’ve crashed either over open water or somewhere over Greenland. Kate immediately suspects Stefano. She asks Victor what Philip was even doing on John’s plane, since she thought Phil brought Victor’s plane to Ireland. Victor reminds her that he had his private jet brought back for an errand to help Chelsea. Abe says they have search planes out and they’ll learn something soon.

Maggie arrives at the police station by Caroline’s side and claims she got there as soon as she could. She reveals how she tried to call Doug and Julie, but their cell phones are out of range on their travels. An emotional Caroline thanks her for coming and embraces her. Roman, Abe, and Lexie emerge from the other room as Roman informs the gang that he just got off the phone with the director at NORAD. He gives the bad news that NORAD is pulling the rescue planes back in since it’s too dense and too dark, and they don’t want to risk losing their rescue team as well. Maggie asks when they’ll send the planes back out. Roman says it will be at first light tomorrow.

Victor asks Abe for his assurance that everything is being done to find their families. Abe says all they can do is wait for daylight. “We don’t have to just wait. I know something we could do,” insists Caroline.

Victor and Kate arrive at St. Luke’s to pray for the plane crash survivors. Victor admits that he’s always found something very comforting about the church, especially since he’s gotten older. He recalls how his mother was very devout and tried to instill it into him, but he didn’t exactly take it. Kate desponds how Austin and Billie have left town, Lucas is in prison, and Philip’s the only one they have left. (What about Rex and Cassie?) Victor takes Kate’s hand in an attempt to comfort her.

Maggie, Caroline, Max, Stephanie, Chelsea, Roman, Abe, and Lexie arrive at the church, where they light candles and pray for their loved ones. Caroline leads everyone in reciting the Lord’s Prayer. Max and Steph kneel down together and pray as we see flashes of the plane crash site. A teary-eyed Chelsea sits next to Victor, who puts his arm around her. Kate stands up and lights a candle while the others silently continue to pray. Roman takes his mom’s hand.
