In Vegas, Stephanie stops Jeremy (who is chasing after Ilsa) from blowing her off and makes him agree to have dinner with her parents. He complies and she hugs him in delight. He then lies about having to make some phone calls, then leaves. Max continues to follow Jeremy.

Nick loses at the blackjack table, but refuses to give up. Chelsea tries to convince him otherwise. A high roller (played by Jerry Springer) is at the blackjack table surrounded by two gorgeous blond twins, who are all over him. Chelsea notes that the high roller looks like a regular who knows what he’s doing and is not some novice throwing away his rent money. “Thank you Chelsea. Your faith in me is overwhelming,” quips Nick. She tells Nick that this isn’t like him, since she assumes he simply bumped his head. “Why does everyone keep saying crap like that?” asks a defensive Nick. Chelsea refers to him as a reasonable guy who doesn’t gamble everything away without doing the calculations first. She tries to coax him into just taking the chips and leaving with her. He refers to her as a “buzz kill.” “It’s like having a nagging wife without even being married,” he laughs. She storms off, telling him to have fun.

The two blond Barbie twins are still all over the high roller, who proceeds to take his winnings and go upstairs with them. Nick is intrigued by the lucky guy. The guy approaches Nick and notes that Chelsea the hottie split, stating that ladies tend to be all over him when he wins, but they disappear when he loses. He introduces himself as Pete, also known as Lucky Lucifer. Nick introduces himself and mentions that his enemies call him Nick the geek. “If the geek wants to win, he’s gotta start growing some hair,” advises Pete. Nick gets offended at this comment and invites Pete to fight. Pete invites him to sit down and play the game. He advises Nick to gamble and throw all the chips in. Nick says he’ll just stick to what he’s doing. “Oh, why not. THAT seems to be working,” replies Pete sarcastically. Pete then shows Nick his secret good luck charm, which is his “poppy’s glass eye.” Nick calls his glass eye really gross. Pete states that his “poppy” taught him everything he knows about cards. Pete then recalls when he was a teenager, his “poppy” got beat up and his eye got destroyed in the process, and he was left with a permanent limp. His “poppy” bought the glass eye in a pawn shop, put it in his empty socket, then suddenly started winning big. His poppy handed the glass eye to Pete on his death bed, which has been with him in every casino ever since. He advises Nick to use the eye for good luck. A fired-up Nick proceeds to play the game again. Later, Nick is winning big at the blackjack table with the glass eye by his side. Nick admits he wants to do something good for Chelsea and gamble more. Pete predicts that the eye is only good for one more hand. Nick notes that his present hand doesn’t look good. Pete secretly reveals what the next card is. Nick wonders how he knows this. Pete says he’s been counting cards, but tells Nick to keep it quiet. His prediction was right and Nick is ecstatic that he has just won 50 grand.

Meanwhile, Chelsea joins Stephanie at the bar and whines how Nick keeps losing and won’t quit. “What do you care? You’re over him I thought?” mutters Stephanie. Chelsea admits she is, but he’s still a nice guy, unlike someone Stephanie knows. Ms. Johnson assumes that Chelsea’s jealous, since the best Chelsea’s ever had has been a geek like Nick. Stephanie wonders why Chelsea can’t just be happy for her. “Because, Stephanie, you’re my friend, and it sucks when I know things that can hurt you,” replies Chelsea. Stephanie demands that Chelsea just say whatever’s on her mind. Chelsea then reveals that Jeremy’s cheating on her. Stephanie doesn’t believe that Jeremy would ever cheat on her. Chelsea informs her what Max witnessed at Bo and Hope’s house and how Jeremy told him it was a one-night stand. An upset Stephanie refers to Max and Chelsea as liars, since they both hate Jeremy. Stephanie calls her a rotten friend along with Max. “I hate you both!” she cries. Chelsea calmly replies that she’s trying to be a true friend by warning her that Jeremy’s using her. She admits she wanted to tell her sooner, but couldn’t because she knew how upset Stephanie would be. “The same way I was upset when I found out about Nick and my mom,” she recounts. Stephanie hypothetically asks Chelsea what she would do if she was in the same situation and if a guy was indeed cheating on her. Chelsea declares she would get in the guy’s face and make sure he knew that he could never mess with her again. Chelsea then leaves a distraught Stephanie.

Back in another part of the hotel, Jeremy warns Ilsa that she needs to stay out of sight. “Just do your job,” he orders. Max approaches them and inquires just what her job is. Jeremy blows Ilsa’s appearance off in Vegas as coincidental. Max doesn’t buy it, though, and warns Jeremy that it isn’t over. Jeremy advises Max to go into the family business and be a cop if he wants to solve mysteries. Max demands to know what Jeremy’s running. Jeremy continues to deny knowing why Ilsa’s there and asks Ilsa to tell Max why she’s in Vegas. She claims she simply comes all the time and knows a lot of people. “What people?” asks a persistent Max. She tells him it’s none of his business. Max grabs Ilsa, which makes Jeremy see red and demands that Max just let her go. “You’d like that, wouldn’t you?” assumes Max. Jeremy reminds Max how he’s made him more money than he’ll ever see in his “grease pit.” Max notes that something stinks in Jeremy’s business. Jeremy wonders why Max takes the cash if he doesn’t like it. “If I’m dirty, you’re just as bad,” affirms Jeremy. The two men argue before Max tells Jeremy to take his contract and shove it. Jeremy declares their partnership as officially over. Max asserts that he’ll keep his mouth shut regarding the merchandise he already saw, unless Jeremy’s running more than just designer knock-offs.

Chelsea later comes back over to Stephanie and wonders if her cousin still hates her.
